Thank you so much for your 2 excellent professional quality videos. Just sorting my 2009 2.0 TDi Golf and I couldn't have done it without your guidance. Nice to have a mechanic who is an apprentice served and graduate engineer who will have been trained by skilled people.
This tip is a fantastic time saver. I cant see why anyone would advise to take apart (which is what I saw on the other videos I had watched). So glad I found your video. Thank you
Our mk6 golf has a clutch problem. With no warning the clutch pedal went down and didnt come back up. Even if pulled up the clutch no longer worked. I removed the slave cylinder and it seemed ok so i bled the system and the clutch works again BUT... The clutch pedal stays down if you push it to the floor! Any ideas??
@@Yamaprilia yes, I do another video on removing and refitting the master cylinder. Hope it helps you out, and I would recommend you buying a OEM quality replacement as the £30 master cylinders only seem to last 6-12 months

Thanks for the help! Just replaced mine in about 45 minutes.👍🏼
Thanks for the positive feedback. 45 mins is good going for the whole master cylinder replacement!
@@aguyandhisgarage your tip definitely helped with that!
I’m at 24 hours right now, how the hell did you do this in 45 minutes
@@cooperpaterson7810it’s helps that I’m a Ford Master Tech I guess😅
What are you having trouble with?
There is no way that clip worked ! Impressed.
Great video, thanks so much. I'd just suggest having a fixed overhead camera. Hope you dont mind me suggesting 😄
Not at all, I am always welcoming of suggestions.
I will definitely look into investing in one in the future

Are you losing fluid from the reservoir? When you finished bleeding it was the clutch pedal returning normally?
@@aguyandhisgarage i think ive just found the issue. It seems there is a small crack in the clutch master cylinder. Thanks for your reply

Do you no if the mark 5 is the same ??
Hi, Can't remember off the top of my head now if they are exactly the same, but the principle behind it will be the same
