If you notice the Dwarf's portal, it has no writing on it, symbolizing it truly knew and learned nothing about the universe
He already had all knowledge, he was born with it so he did not have something to learn
Yet he didn't understand what he did wrong, aka he still had room to growth.
He had plenty of room to grow and learn, especially once he was on his own two feet. Instead, he not only cast out his 7 desires (the very things that made him human), but he also never even tried to understand what it meant to be human. He looked down on humans and called them inferior despite his own human origins. There's so many reasons why Truth mocked him like that at the end. Him not understanding what he did wrong was honestly icing on the cake.
He looked down on humans and called them inferior, yet he needed humans to be an energy source to control "god" inside him. Father claimed he was better than humans, that he had "evolved", but in reality he still needed a container to survive, and needed human life to maintain that container. He never came up with an alternate method of surviving. He still relied on the Philosopher's Stone underground to control peoples' alchemy. Even when Hohenheim confronted him, "What does a homonculus create?", Father got it wrong. "Shall I *produce* some humans for you?" He didn't *create* people , he just *assembled* bodies and then bound some souls from his stone to them. Even with the power of "god" he never moved beyond what he knew when he was in the flask. He always put the emphasis on power. He craved power to do whatever he pleased, but he never cared to learn from his knowledge which would have led to growth. He never learned anything.
@@michaelshahoe He had infinite knowledge, but he lacked wisdom.
Ed's line "an ordinary human who couldn't save a little girl" line hits me so hard. Even after everything he's been through Nina weighs heavily on his mind.
Moggetslittlesister It was the boys’ second real heartbreak after their mother’s death. Nina was the little sister they never had. 😢 One of the strongest points of this show is you really feel that the characters continue to grieve for the people they lost along the way. Nina, Hughes. Man, this show.
Meanwhile, these guys can't even remember her name...
@@helinituhhh Greed....
I'm a little late, but I think that was to emphasize the fact that alchemy isn't the solution for everything
@@burnburn2644 Or rather phrased, they can't save everyone even with alchemy, they couldn't do it.
Getting a philosophers stone has been Ling's mission since he was introduced to the show,
and when he finally has one (without it taking over his body) he immediately tries to give it away to bring Al back.
It's a small thing that's quickly overshadowed by other things in this episode, but I do think it's a very nice moment for him.
Would it have destroyed the Stone? After all, there's many souls and Al is only one
@@highdefinition450I think it depends how many souls are in the stone
I think that’s what determines how powerful something is
The answer Truth was looking for was that alchemy is *not* everything the world has to offer. Ed relied on it for everything and thought he could solve all his issues with it, but in the end he gave it up. Father on the other hand refused to ever do anything without alchemy. He sat on his ass for centuries and let everyone else do everything for him without learning or understanding anything about the world or himself, which is where humans *really* beat him.
I just love how ecstatic Truth is that Ed beat him. The voice actor really sold this scene for me, "Take him home! Goodbye Edward Elric!".
Nah. In my opinion God just have some rules in his world and he dont like when someone trying to do something that he forbbiden. He wants everyone to live the way he wants. Dwarf wanted to crush this rules, break his "bounds". Wanted to be free from Gods laws, but miscalculated and got a punishment.
@@booyakabooyaka4628 Not really... The Dwarf says that he is bound by God because he is made from the essence of the Eye behind the Gate, and couldn't survive outside of his container. He wanted freedom, but he already got it, yet he didn't realize it. The Dwarf wanted simple things in reality, he says it himself to Greed a couple of episodes before: ''You are my avarice, whatever you want now, I once wanted too.'' And we know that Greed wanted friends. In fact, all of his Sins were about humans... Warth admired humans despise looking down on them, Envy was jealous on their bounds, Pride obviously was enjoying playing family and having parents, Gluttony had a strong kinship with Lust, so it shows that Father wanted connections... Lust didn't get enough time to be developed and learn about her thou, but she probably held similar values. The things that the Dwarf actually wanted were human things like family and companionship, yet he rejected bonds, his entire human nature, and decided to seek only knowledge and power at any price... And for this sin he was sent back behind the gate, in the sea of information, to be once again part of the One.
The God in FMA is not really a God, he himself says to the Dwarf ''You stole power from others, rejected your human origins, and decided to commend what you call God'', so he is basically saying that God doesn't exist, or at least not in the form the Dwarf imagined. The Truth/God doesn't really have a will, is more like a mirror of one's Gate of Truth, a mirror of their own conscience, and is there just ''punish them'' for human transmutation, by showing them the truth behind the gate, or in other word giving them raw information, and taking something of equal value trough the law of equivalent exchange. It is very possible, that the whole sacrifice to be for opening the Gate, not for human transmutation... Once they see the truth they realize that human transmutation is impossible from the start and the process through which they do it actually just opens their Gate of Truth, which happens when they try to access the soul of the dead, which is now part of the One, part of the sea of information behind the gate.
So was pride and sloth his strongest attributes that explains why they were both strong homunculus
@@dukedevlan5457 All the other Homunculus are human like except Envy who is a monster but who always keep a human transformation, despise him being able to transform in virtually anything. Homunculus are like a coin, their existence has two faces, an obvious one and a hidden one... hidden even to the Father as we saw in the end. When it comes to Pride, on one side, Pride's form show that Father took pride in his identity as a homunculus and saw himself as different and superior to humans, he gave the first homunculus that form out of his ego. At the same time, Pride shows fathers loneliness. Pride is basically like his child, the only entity in the world that has a form similar to his, that why the real form of Pride is a fetus. This is further shown by 2 aspects - he made the first homunculus as if he was his child, and he calls himself Father, which further proves that Pride is like his child as, being the first homunculus, Pride is the first who called him father.
When it comes to power, thou, there is another layer added. The powers of the Homunculus, while they may be connected to the sin, they are more importantly designed for their role: Wrath who rules and watches over the country has an all-seeing eye; Envy's role is manipulation, infiltration and gathering data, etc - so he transforms in peoples; Pride is a guardian of Father and his secrets, especially the tunnel, and he is bound to it and the Capital, which is his floss; Lust is the sword that cuts the threats, a guardian just like Pride, but one that can act outside of the confinement. Gluttony is the cleaner who disposes of Lust's corpses by eating them; Greed would probably been part of a trio with them as muscles/shield/tank; and Sloth he gets a sturdy body because he is the one who does the manual labor. While he may be the only homunculus that doesn't include a revelation about Father's inner self, his position is role is ironical in intentional way, as sloth would have been the only thing that would have prevented Father from finishing this long term project, so he basically put his sloth to work.
Hohenhaim's death always gets me😭
Shayan Fatima me too...
Shayan Fatima he's been alive for thousands of years dude, he deserved some REST :(
The sad thing is after living for so long he actually wants to continue living during his final moments.
Shayan Fatima one of the saddest part
Not thousands. He's roughly ~450.
So lets list the ironic deaths of the homunculi:
-Lust: dies kneeling to a man
-envy: commits suicide after realising he's been jealous of humans
-gluttony: eaten by pride
-sloth: dies over working himself
-wrath: dies at peace with himself
-pride: "dies" when he tries to swallow his pride and become human
-greed: dies having gotten everything he wanted
THATaGAMER Mg
I more so see it that Greed dies trying to save his friend. The embodiment of greed dying from a selfless act.
Or rather, Greed: Dies a selfless death, where he risked and lost his life for the sake of others instead of him self.
wrath was defeated by a once wrathful man himself, that being scar
That's the thing about Envy, his death WASN'T ironic. He died being envious, very much to be expected, not ironic. Irony is when something unexpected happens, it would have been ironic if he died having accomplished everything he meant to (perhaps if he wanted to break Mustang, and made him lose control and kill him before the others could intervene).
This also bring up an interesting point about their lives. In there, Lust's the outlier in that she was the object of her name, not the embodiment of it. Gluttony wasn't a hamburger, for example. But Lust was never lustful, she was a flirtatious, beautiful woman, but that was more being the object of the lust of other people. Wrath was wrathful, Pride was proud, but Lust never acted lustful.
Lust acted lustful a lot, just not what one might expect. She was not lustful for sex for example, but there are other things to be lusting for. She lusted for killing, pain, blood, those were all things she lusted for. That's why she likes to kill her victims slowly. She lusts for the pain and agony they feel as they're about to die.
"W-WAT DA...D-DOES HE HAVE HIS ARMS?! AND HIS LEGGSSS?!"
YEAHH XD.... I watched the bloopers like 50 times over IT’S HILARIOUS
...Yessir.
Notice that for the Dwarf's portal of truth, there's literally nothing on there. Compared to the others, his portal is just blank. He learned nothing and I believe that was a part of what The Truth was talking about during their conversation.
"What do you mean lower myself? That's the only thing I've ever been. Just a simple human that couldn't save a little girl...not even with alchemy."
RIP Greed. In the end, he sacrificed himself for others and died feeling satisfied and no longer desiring anything else.
RIP Hohenheim. His death hits me hard every time, especially those few moments before the end. He wanted to continue living, but he didn't have anymore time. And god, that happy smile, the montage, and Trisha reaching out at the end made it worse. This was as much his story as it was Ed and Al's.
Lalisa T Hohenheim's death scene is the reason why the 5th opening is my favorite. It hits me like a truck everytime and I love it.
Wrath dies feeling a sense of content.
Greed dies from wanting to save his friends.
Hohenheim finally dies after living a long life of solitude but during his final moments desires to keep on living.
God, I love this series.
I found Irony in every death except Lust.
Wrath - Content
Greed - Not greedy, had everything at the end
Gluttony - Got eaten
Sloth - Over worked
Pride - Threw away his pride to be human
Envy - Envious of humans
He already had all knowledge, he was born with it so he did not have something to learn
H P Lust died incinerated because she was too hot (ง ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)ว
The end of this episode always makes me tear up, especially when the lyrics start over Hohenheim's smiling face.
actually one of the saddest anime scenes I know
They all teared up hahah
9:02 lol shane saying "oh shit" while leaning back
when the masterful storytelling hits you so hard u gotta lean back
k6140 that part always starts my tears. Shane is a tough guy to crack, and chill dudes feeling feels always gets me feeling shit too.
For me it's when they basically all turn red when Hohenheim dies, you can clearly see them fighting back the feels lol
*getting the tissue box for greed's death* that always gets me the worst.
Yea his death fucked with me more than any other death in the entire series; he was just so damn likable. One things for sure though, he went out like a complete badass.
Slim Brady Hohenheim got me the most idk why. I guess it’s just because of how much he sacrificed to stop the father
@@Jaykurosakii Oh yea his was sad af too, especially when you see him smiling after he had passed and it starts playing Rain. He finally stopped Father and could spend time with his boys, but it was too late. This series made me tear up at so many different moments, it really knows how to hit you right in the feels.
Fun fact the most fragile form of carbon is pencil lead greed turned father into a damn pencil
@@myneneedssomequalitytimein8908 lol
Final episode next week...it’s been one hell of a ride
Can't believe that it has been over one year... that's.. wow xD You know what i mean?
Indeed it has
I cry every single time. It was such a good ending for Hoenhiem.
It was good but at the same time also so sad, now that he finally wanted to continue living there was no time left. Great ending for the series for sure.
Timo such is life.
ManicMeeks I also cry everytime I see Hohenheim'a death... :'(
I love the fact that when the truth congratulates edward, it starts to sound like his voice. The truth really is mirror of everybody in this universe
*"Don't you even want freedom, Hohenheim?"*
*What is it that makes YOU happy?"*
If you think about it, neither one of them truly had real freedom throughout this whole thing. Hohenheim, whose only dream was to have his own family, couldn't be with them because he had a duty to see through no matter what. The Dwarf, who wanted to get out of the flask, stayed cooped up underground, in the middle of the country he built - just a larger version of his old flask.
What I do like about that though, is that Hohenheim, much like a lot of characters in this show, sacrificed something of himself to achieve his goal. He ultimately sacrificed his happiness of being with his family. Whereas the Dwarf sacrificed other people, sacrificed the homunculi, just straight up used other people for his plans. And that's why despite these two characters not achieving true freedom, Hohenheim still died with a smile on his face, while the Dwarf was sentenced to an eternity of despair.
RIP Hohenheim. Because of your sacrifice, your boys and a lot of other people can continue living their lives. What a character. I knew there will be tears this episode. One does not simply watch Hohenheim die and not cry. Glad they stuck around for the credits. Love that little tribute/send-off to Hohenheim. Even the show itself gives him salute.
*"That's the only thing I've ever been; just a simple human."*
*"Who even needs alchemy when I've got THEM?"*
I love how Ed relished his last transmutation by making the effort of drawing the transmutation circle.
EDIT: And of course, among the most heartfelt sacrifices in this show is that of Greed’s.
*”I’ve had enough. That’s all I really need.”*
RIP Greed.
I love how Eds retruned arm is noticeably less defined and the nails are grown out as well as how atrophied Alphonse is when he gets his body back. Its just a nice attention to detail.
Hohenhaim will always be one of my favorite characters.
If you'd write his name right perhaps
Joni A I put an A instead of an e. How would the world live with such an grammatical error lol.
Hahaha I don't really care about it. You do you, I was just goofing around
Also, when Ed’s Truth disintegrates, you can faintly hear Ed’s VA as part of The Truth’s voice.
Noxshade only in the dub though :v
Double A Animations which is really a shame because it adds some depth to the dub with what truth really is (and maybe even a nod from eds VA saying goodbye to a character he loves)
Kira Aotsuki oh no. It definitely is a shame that he japanese dubbers didn't think this through. If imnot mistaken. There are times Truths voice has every character's voice superimposed at once as well in the english dub. Because at times you can hear the tones in his voice shift ever so slightly or have an unnatural eco. I think. Don't quote me on that. But people that dubbed this series love this series to death. Vic even went back and recorded different lines for the first time meeting Al in the gate for episode 27(the flash back episode) just so they could get through what was going on in that scene
I knew Truth's voice was a little different, but I never realized that!
That's amazing. I really do love this dub. It's clear just how much the actors care about it.
The Brennan It helps that most of them were in the 2003 version as well.
And there goes the best character in the series. A part of me wishes Greed had stayed inside Ling, but I’ll admit his death was poetic. The embodiment of greed dies from a selfless act.
Not only that, but Greed dies satisfied.
RIP Greed. RIP Hohenheim. FMAB man what a show.
Best episode of the series. next ep is most satisfying
Yes it is and Weiss is the best character in RWBY except for drunkle Qrow
When Truth said to Ed "you passed" I think the overall truth is that we all just humans. We are not gods. There is truth and nothing above. So when Father tried to obtain the power of truth and become god essentially went against what Truth stands for. Eds line about always just being a human kinda cements it for me
It's also interesting Scar, who regarded Alchemists as people who play god, in the end became a full-fleged Alchemist. So the Truth gave Edward what he wants after he gave up his alchemy, and Ishvala saved Scar (when Bradley was about to kill him) after he accepted that humans can create.
Father was arrogant, continuously strove for power, and wanted to be more (to be God) whereas Ed humbled himself, accepted that power and alchemy isn't everything, and acknowledged that he isn't anything but human. I love it!
This show is a masterpiece.
"He won't be overseeing anything.."
OH MY GOD AARON
the ending scene on the train next episode always gets me, loved this ride with blind wave. Somehow it felt unbelievably fast and painfully slow at the same time lol, 10/10 would watch again
I think something that adds a whole layer to father is that even outsidr his flask he felt like he was in another flask. He felt like if he understood the world and took it in he would be out of it.
The interesting thing to me is how all the homunculus died relative to their traits. _Wrath_ died at peace, _Greed_ sacrificed himself, _Gluttony_ was eaten, and so on.
It's pretty clever writing, to me, and just one more reason this is one of the best animated series ever.
Greed's thing was that he died satisfied, not wanting anything else than what he had
Gluttony, Lust and Envy are the only deaths I don’t understand. Wrath died peacefully, Greed sacrifices himself, Pride was ashamed of his body, Sloth overworked himself...
but Gluttony was eaten (which is just gluttony), Lust was killed on her knees by a womanizer (which... I GUESS was chastity???) and Envy committed unalive, which I GUESS was generous if seen from a certain view. But they weren’t truly ironic deaths, at least not to me.
10:50 lol Eric and Aaron are always the ones to cry but I didn't expect Calvin to as well. Eric was also tearing up when Todoroki went to see his mum in episode 2x12 of MHA. Probably was an especially emotional scene for him since his own dear mum passed.
MoonStar calvin always has the red face in emotional moments
Actually, from what I've seen, Calvin is usually the one that cries the most out of them all, it's just hard to notice sometimes. I think he's a lot more emotionally invested than he shows. Maybe it's just me, but that's what I've noticed.
MoonStar Calvin cries too. Cried during ATLA
It's good to see that Calvin can still feel emotions after watching the Red Wedding. I thought we had broken him.
Your discussion of this show is so awesome I wish I had other people to discuss this show with when I was watching it the first time.
"in 10 years May would become super hot and Al goes out to get her". oh, Eric, Al was in that metal suit for 8-9 years. you think that boy would wait another 10 years? Definitely not.
Double A Animations It was actually only 5 years, but still a long wait
Reminder that Al is something like 14-15 years old during the time of the series
This is why I love FMA:B. The conclusion fully satisfies every single question you'll have in the series. This is, without a doubt, one of the greatest masterpiece in anime history. Please react to the bloopers!
10:45 LOL at Aarons eyeroll towards Eric (I assume)
Also since they want a happy Funny episode at the end I would recommend the Blooper reel.
I think he was trying to check to make sure he wasn't the only one getting emotional.
Yh it definitely wasn’t an eyeroll
He is checking to see if anyone is looking at him crying XD
No0neAtAll I'm pretty sure they said they would do the bloopers
i get chills every time truth says “take him home!” truly one of the best endings to anything.....ever
(Almost) everyone who died in this show died in the most ironical way possible
That's the theme of the show
Hohenheims death is such a beautiful scene. My personal favorite of the show. Nothing complicated, just a man spending his last moments at his wife's grave, just talking and being human.
I like how when Hoehiem says " Because I'm his father. " @ 6:39 , Aaron just gives a little nod like " Yep, same ". good dad Aaron.
When i first watched this series, and I got to the part where Edward does the transmutation, I was wondering what he was going to do. The moment he showed what he was offering, I legit had my mind blown, as the answer to his question was right behind him the whole time. It's an incredible moment and the music makes it feel even more awesome.
Ed was 11 when they did the transmutation, and he is 16 by the time promised day came around, if I remember right. So, Al is 15. It has been 5 years.
I love how we can hear an echo of Edward's voice when Truth tells him he has the right answer.
Edit: spelling.
Gets me every time, dammit! Every time I see this, tears just run down my face. I love Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood so much.
8:32 Eric: I feel your pain, Ed
Greed 💔 Best homunculus! I wished he would have stayed.
He was the most "human" out of all the homunculus IMO, which is why I liked him the best overall.
@@michaelshahoe I honestly thought his last words were going to be
see you later ya piss ant
That smile on Hohenheim's face at 10:43 gets me teared up everytime. His eyes at 10:18 are eyes I've seen in the mirror so many times and I can only hope with all of my ability that I can have a smile like his when I pass on.
Calvin's nose getting full red at the end of the episode.
What could be worth the ability to bring back a human life? The power to do it again.
Did you guys notice how hard the Dwarf was trying to imitate God/Truth. The whole mono eye thing was to copy the portal and its eye. Also, great fucking episode. My man Greed and his beautiful characterization.
10:39 Poor Hohenheim.... That's the wrong grave.
Just one more episode. 😭 get your tissues ready for the finale guys.
Jimin you got no jams! Next episode isn't sad. It's actually pretty fun and upbeat. This episode is where the sadness is.
Weston Johnson I know but I still get tears of joy watching the finale because when the songs plays I think about the journey of the anime and how awesome it was. Compared to the 2003 one.
Jimin you got no jams! Tears of joy? Hell yeah. I binged the last 10 episodes of the series so I was an emotional wreck by the finale. Tears were non-stop, both joy and sad.
Weston Johnson I know what you mean. when I first saw this episode when it aired on tv I wasn’t caught up in the manga yet so when I saw Ed doing a transmutation circle I thought back on the ending in the first anime series and I was a mess because I didn’t want to see That again, but then I saw the last episode and I was high on emotions because it was a great ending to a great anime.
Dont forget the blooper short
“Shut up you rotten father! You say something that dumb again and I’ll knock you out!” Gosh. This episode gets me every single time. There’s a reason this is my favorite anime of all time. The lessons learned in the very beginning of the show are still carried on to the very end. The next episode is so satisfying. I’m so happy you guys watched this show!!
6:40 Damnnn... you can see the Emotion in their eyes...
Kinda reminds me the first time I watched this series years ago.. WOW :D
Everyone feels like I felt. :)
all the tears, what an amazing episode. Hohenheim is one of my favorite characters in this anime for sure.
This episode still makes me cry
Just one more episode! And then, the bloopers!
god/all/one/thruth to dwarf in the flask: "You must have simply seen the end with you own eyes" " Eric:" Eye."
Hoenheim always give me the feels
i always want to cry even years later with this scene in a reaction with someone :3
Damit i seen this show like 26 times still cried at end.
This episode 😢
so now that you guys have seen the full story of Hohenhime, I'd really recomend you watch the very first opening of this show again with what you know now.
Calvin tears up a few times during this episode, and it's fair to say we all tear up with him.
One more point: Many audiences believe that Father's portal was empty because it didn't learn or grow. Yet there is different view proposed by the others: Father is a micro part of Truth (since it was grabbed by Hohenheim's master from The Truth by using Hohenheim's blood, that's why it is so knowledgeable and taught Hohenheim everything. At the same time, it contains human's emotions, desire, and foolishness), since it itself is the element of Truth, It's portal has no particular pattern (Since each alchemist;s portal is unique based on their type of alchemy they focused on. That's why Father's portal is empty.
This solution was only viable for Ed and Al. They performed human transmutation together so their souls were intertwined and their gates connected. Anyone else that would sacrifice their alchemy for their bodies back would be stuck in that void.
In my opinion, one of the best animes ever...
I wonder how many people make the connection that Father's mistakes and arc are all linked with the Homunculi. They were, after all, exracted from his own soul, so everything they'd want reflects his true desires. Not only Lust's cold disregard for other people's feelings, or Wrath's unrelenting ruthlesness, but also:
How Envy really feels about humans.
What Greed truly wanted all along.
It's like, because he cast aside his own personlity, *they* had his character arc for him.
Blind Wave getting emotional!
I've seen this series so many times over the years, and every time I cry at the deaths, especially Hughes and Greed, I love this Anime
Hohenheim’s death still gets me in the feels.... damn.
I've always been torn between Full Metal Brotherhood's ending and the original animated show's follow-up movie Conqueror of Shamballa. I prefer Brotherhood because its supposed to end this way and its structured with the actual story, but I always loved the thought of how the movie bridged FMA with something almost real toward us and our universe. And that the brothers got to continue on a new journey, fish out of water style.
The best damn anime they will ever watch is now over.
I'm soooo glad you guys were FIGHTING back your tears!! I was an absolute wreck when I finished this episode!!
That moment when the Truth gets all happy that someone has finally defeated him and gave him the right answer is one of my most favourite in the series
“You’ve done it! That’s the right answer!”
Instant tears.
Ive watched this anime like a billion times and I still bawled like a baby 😭😭😭😭😭
Wow, I just realized that since they do this one episode a week they have been watching and reacting to this series for over a year.
I love that Homunculus’s Gateway is blank.
Edwards journey was epic also he chose humanity and humility over alchemy and arrogance , the way he was in pilot. He changed and understood true nature of life.
i love the conversation with Ed and The Truth, Ed never lets himself off the Hook for Nina's death and gives up power for connections. The Ultimate Humanist character
Damn these tears...
John Duffy as soon as that song hit
I love that when Ed calls Hohenheim Father is the first time Ed sheds tears in the series
the last episode should be a full reaction as well
I always cry when greed dies :(
If you ask me Ed's last transmutation is the best moment in all of Anime. A moment that always brings tears to my eyes.
22:15 I think that's mainly due to the difference in medium. In a manga you can have all this dialogue on one page or even one panel, you read it relatively quickly and then the action continues, translated into anime it has to be "spelled out" and given its own time which can at times create a slightly weird sense of pacing. During fights as well. As a long time anime viewer I suppose you get used to it.
of course, the price for bringing a body back from truth is the knowledge acquired that took that body. equivalent exchange, al's soul is equal to ed's arm, so they can be traded back and forth. the knowledge alphonse gained from the gate is equal to his body, so ed sacrificed his own knowledge and the gate to grant alphonse his body. he essentially paid al's ticket to enter the gate.
which also means al should be able to perform clap transmutations still, and would make him the most powerful alchemist on earth.
yes after this al is able to perform transmutations without a circle, you should check out the movies, they have some pretty cool after brotherhood stories
Even after all the years, even after all the rewatches, that scene of Hohenheim at the end with such a content smile on his face makes me tear up.
I'm not crying YOU'RE CRYING!
Okay let's be honest here, we're both crying
I love just how happy the Truth was when Edward beat him. Also one thing the Dub unquestionably did better then the Sub, at least from my memory, is the Truth's voice, in the Sub he still has the Legion voice, but the person he's talking to has there voice in there as well, in Dub that only happens once, when Ed "wins" if you listen closely you can hear Ed's voice mixed in there, but only then.
And this episode is such a gut-punch with Greed and Hohenheim, and even Ed's sacrifice although in a different way.
This damn anime has made me cry so much. I just can't & I'm happy to see this anime has the same effect on others as it did for me. 😭💖
Yo..i see Eric, Calvin and Aaron tearing up lol
Couldn't believe we have only one more episode.
Lust goes out Hot.
Envy goes out Jealous.
Gluttony goes out Devoured.
Greed goes out Selfless.
Wrath goes out Smiling.
Pride goes out Childish.
Sloth goes out Working.
I can't believe we're at the end! The epilogue is next week! It's been so fun watching FMAB with y'all and I'm so happy you've enjoyed it so much. Here's to a hell of a ride!
The first time Ed actually calls Hoenhiem Father really is a big moment
Watching Fullmetal Alchemist after this would be interesting.
11:15 wish granted lol
God I love this show :(
Hohenheim's death gets me every. Single. Time. Even when I read it in the manga.
I love the fact that the original author of the Fullmetal Alchemist series, Hiromu Arakawa, is some farmgirl who originally started drawing comedy manga about life on the farm.
I love how Ling immediately offered Ed the stone. His entire reason for coming to Amestris was to research the stone, so he could use it to save the emperor, and in turn, save his clan. Ling from the beginning of the show would have 100% ran off with it the second he got the chance, but by the end, he cares more about trying to save Al than his own missions. The character growth of everyone in this show is 10/10.
BEST ENDING OF ALL TIME
Lol at the one person who becomes a patron just to dislike
