Iknow there's a lot more to it then that as well. I have to be able to set up overlays as well to show my screen, what I'm playing. More than anything I need the time to process the whole video as I am a very busy person right now.

This is a great guide to get started. I haven't been able to get any decent results from OBS when it comes to streaming, as my fps always use to take a massive hit, but with this run through I was able to host my first stream with no performance hit! Thanks :)

All the quality boxes for me in my region were zero but I was getting like 8000kps and a average of 25 RTT
I got a question for you a year later (lol) what does it mean if you do the twitch bandwidth test and NONE of the servers have a quality of 80 or higher. In fact, most have 0... for some reason. And nothing is reaching 10000+kbps. My streams keep disconnecting and I don't know what to do. Thanks if you get back to me about this! And thanks for making awesome videos, dude!

The only thing I can tell you is I changed my encoder to NVENCH (my graphics card) in my Settings > Output for both streaming and recording and it's helped a lot! Haven't done this bandwidth test since tho so I don't know if the numbers have improved but my stream disconnects less.

Oh, once it showed (changed) one of the 0 into 74, right when i clicked to close the program

I also have the same problem alle the servers show 0 including the nearest where I live and then 1 servers gives 16 and it's like on the other side of Europe

I just recently got myself a nice gaming PC (i7-7700k / GTX 1080 / 32gb RAM) and an Oculus Rift + Touch and I am starting a channel to stream Elite: Dangerous in VR on Twitch. I have been messing with OBS to figure out what to do and I really appreciate how this video didn't so much just say "hey, do this, then this, then this, etc" but that you explained what different things do and what would be best *based on my setup*. This has helped me a lot actually, I'm aware it's outdated but it's still helpful. Helped me figure out what bitrate I should stream at along with the resolution. I also disabled the auto and strictly just connect to one server now. I'm aware that it probably connects to that one anyway but this ensures it. Thank you for the help :)
