I have been streaming for about a year and your videos helped me get started. I still watch them from time to time just to get a brush up. Thank you so much you are the GOAT
I am officially starting my journey as a streamer. This video is a crash course and then more. Its like being taken around a racecar track at full speed and then handing the passenger the steering wheel. THANK YOU! Not only do you get to see something created from nothing. You also help by sharing the tools to anyone and everyone. And now we have access to the same tools you yourself have spent your time and energy creating! It gives us all a head start. So again I say Thank You.
Hey man, I really apprecite your videos. Currently switching from streamlabs to obs and I am definitely loving it so far. Really appreciate your videos
You sir, are a rock star! I've been live streaming since Oct/Nov last year and I've had my share of streaming errors, and unlike other streamers, you are straight and to the point. I thank you for that, and I'm in your discord group.
I personally follow your idea that “all the overlays may take away from the video experience” which is why My favorite thing to do is to create scenes with the weirdest backgrounds for streams, it’s crazy the amount of assets you can pull in and that vertical plug in from master Senpai is a must to save some time in Davinci editing your shorts. Im personally still very new to the idea of editing let alone editing down streams so maybe we could get a “how to understand editing” from a certain somebody? Thanks for all the help again mr scheme.
Sir. Simply put, thank you very much for everything you have done, are doing, and will do. All of your videos are helping me out so much with setting up some pretty technical apps, lol. I am just getting started in streaming for fun and you are a go to for all assistance, motivation, and just done right know how. Thanks so much and I look forward to everything else this journey has to offer with your guided vids supporting along the way.
Fell out of streaming a couple of years ago due to my job and finishing college. Miss talking to the 10-12 people that would come in my chat, and now I’m motivated to start again and stick with it so let’s do it for real this time!
I just got me a second monitor so i can start streaming, and streaming with just a single montior would be pretty difficult with what you have to keep up with. And this tutorial is really gonna help me set things up for when I do
MAN, YOURE LIKE THE OLDER BROTHER IN STREAMING... good work man... liked and subbed... i feel i can grow off your info alone.. thanks for all your helpful info
2yrs ago I tried to find decent idiot proof video on OBS, quite impossible. Now I have spent a small fortune converting from console to PC I’m determined to get this done. This video is just perfect! Where was you 2 yrs agooooo?!!! Thank you so much! New sub and likes ❤
Great fast paced video with everything to get you started! Lost my previous OBS setup so this was great to give me a crash course to get it going again! Thanks very much for all the work putting this video together and the discord to help with all the extra stuff to get going! Really a top guy..!
So, 9:24 you said it would probably do the normal chat, but there’s just a big black box. No text of any color, I’ve even changed the colors and still nothing. What am I doing wrong?
I already know how to use OBS, twitch and stremelements, but I watched this for some supplemental knowledge, and DEFINITELY learned more than a few new tricks! Thank you!!!
@@StreamScheme question, after you've set all the alerts the way you want on obs and twitch will they automatically pop up when someone subs or follows?
this information has been really helpful. I did notice a very easy way to help create your different scenes tho. It's not magic but it sped things up for me. If you click on the source you want to be in another scene, you can press CTRL+C to copy it and CTRL+V to paste it into another scene without having to go through the steps of recreating everything. This is also good because it makes it where you don't need a different name for each source in each scene. it keeps the same name and keeps everything simple.
Thanks for this it is really helpful. I've streamed here and there over the years, just odd days never really given it a proper try, but I am planning to give it a proper go this time.
Having finished the video, I am wondering how could I apply these very techniques and lessons to multistreaming? Personally, I am interested in streaming on Twitch and UA-cam but I'm not sure how these settings would impact one another
Thank you for the tutorial!!! I used to use Twitch studio.. but they discontinued the service... and, let's say, OBS is not very intuitive... you made it really easy for me!
You are the GOAT sir! Thank you so much for this tutorial, as someone new to OBS this was extremely helpful! I will be checking out the rest of your videos too.
Finally, someone who can explain it in a way I can understand it tomorrow morning. I’m gonna go grab some Red Bull and a Starbucks and sit down and make it happen. ❤😂
Thank you for this! Adding the chat is just super unintuitive, I would have never guessed how it worked. Twitch Studio had that built in, among other things, but it was sadly discontinued last week. So I‘m now trying to figure this all out. So far audio settings are my worst enemy, haha
Good quality video as usual. May relook at this as I set things up differently for utube streaming so I have different sets between both twitch and that.
i did every step to have to chat thing but nothing showed up? idk how to fix it also at 17:31 how do i get them to snap to the sides? mine keeps snapping to the top
17:05 please can you do a video on how to get the dock for subscriber alerts on UA-cam ( where it is to add to obs) please you mentioned it in this section . i managed the twitch one with the pop out from you instruction. you mentioned UA-cam as well. im still learning and every little tip is welcome as i don't know my way around it all yet :D thank you for you time!
What a great video! I'm adding Twitch Chat but I don't see example text in Stream Elements to judge if it looks good or not. It's just completely blank. Any tips for this? Thanks!
Good video. Still don't understand alerts though. How can I click save when there's nowhere to click? Is it just locked because I haven't streamed yet? That seems unintuitive. Maybe the video on the alerts themselves will help more
Love these videos! And that Anko mic is amazing! But I have 1 question.. what would be the main reason why I can’t hear my monitoring audio anymore? Can’t hear my mic or game.. should I reset/install OBS?
Here's a question that I haven't seen be answered, not at least on my search, and maybe you can make a video out of: How should you set up OBS if you have different games you want to stream? And I don't mean simultaneously having different games on, just playing game A for a few hours, then game B. Is it better to have one scene collection with all the different scenes for the games? Or is it better to have a different scene collection for each game? 'Cause frankly, I'm doing the former, and my stream alerts source isn't working at times, but I've made a new scene collection just solely for testing the alert box, and it works everytime.
To anyone struggling with the chatbox pretty much being black, make sure your chat is above what your displaying when you look at sources. Having something like let's say game capture will overlay it if you don't have the chat above it
Great video.. A little quick so I m still kind of confused.. Struggling with getting my gameplay on the steam while my face is in the bottom corner.. how do I add my live gameplay ??
I did the twitch chat exactly the same as you but it is not showing in my stream. A red box come up showing the outline in jobs so I know its there but there is no chat

Here's a question that I haven't seen be answered, not at least on my search, and maybe you can make a video out of:

Is there a way to toggle recording on and off with a hotkey, with a banner that tells you recording status?
How do I get the chat to pop up on my screen while I play, or do I need to have OBS on a second monitor?

Why did you say not to add your chat widget and support/follow widgets in the same overlay? Is there a reason for this?
i cant find the overlays you say we can pick up
Uhhh how do you find the support bar video/graphic if using StreamElements it doesn't seem to save anything to the computer
Correct me if Im wrong, but creating a Support bar is mentioned no where in this video right?
Creating one from scratch? No, but how to add the free ones we made and give out to OBS, and labels, yes
