Same. Can't get the axel part out of the transmission. This is the only video that actually showed that part of it. Was trying to make sure there wasn't something retaining it in.
Thanks for the vid man it helped a lot. Just a heads up for anyone trying to find out how to remove an axle on a 1986-1989 Honda Accord it is exactly the same both chassis are almost identical.
awesome tip is to jack up the lower control arm once everything is disconnected and jam a 12-14 mm in the gap and drop it down and it pops right out, or lift by hand and slam down if not working
Worked perfect for my 91 civic wagovan automatic 1.5l. The only thing different i did was use a fork for the ball joint and I jacked it up high, and no fluid loss. Took maybe 30mins per side.
Get a ball-joint remover so that you don't pound on other car parts. Bungee cords are also helpful in that they hold parts away from one's working area. Always make the job less unpleasant by having proper tools. Follow service manual directions as much as possible.
Why would you start on the ground directly on the rotor just have someone hold the brake while you remove the axle nut. PS. Ever heard of a pickle fork, do not hit your stud like this guys is.
This video was a big help, doing the axles on my 91 CRX. Everything was pretty much the same procedure

What size was ur axle nut? What year prelude is this?
