First I like to say thanks for the video and your opinion, I purchased my Mido Ocean Star GMT Blue version on 9/18/2020 from an Authorized Dealer in Germany because when I had my picture lust for the this watch it hadn't been sold yet in the USA. I get the watch I love the watch, I find wearing the watch on Nato straps, and the watch grows in my love for the watch. I love GMT watches and I own 6 other GMT watches and this watch holds it own with my 2016 Rolex Batman and I think it near edges my 2020 Tudor BB Gmt Pepsi, so I wear the watch for approximately 7 months and not everyday I rotate with my other watches and come around April 2021. The watch has its first failure. The Hour Hand and the Date Wheel stop working. watch goes to Swatch group for repair and I don't see the watch for 3 months watch comes back straight from repair in July 2021 and the second Failure happens where the Manual Wind stop working , again watch goes back and they fix the watch. So now I am happy and the watch comes back and back into rotation and I still love the watch. Now the watch has it's forth failure and the Seconds Hand stop working and I send the watch into Swatch repair in New Jersey and they are going to fix the watch and during my conversations with the customer reps, they are telling me if I want a new watch I need to talk to the A.D. in Germany , but I tell them no I love the watch and I still want , but finally I convince them to completely replace the movement of the watch because the watch really had 4 major failures, 1. Hour hand 2. Date wheel 3. Manual wind 4. Seconds hands have all failed to work. I am still waiting the repair to finish, I am hoping to get my watch back in September or October depending on when they get the parts. I believe they are going to give me a new 2 year warranty. In my opinion I love the watch I want the watch I just want it to work correctly and use it , love it for all the reasons I purchased the watch. from other posts I heard that the first bunch of watches made sold in Asia & Europe were defective but I have no proof but I know what's happen to mine. Thanks for letting me share my story and experiences with my watch and again thanks for your video and all the best.
Wow! First, I'd like to say I'm sorry to hear about the watch had so many defects. If I were You I would've opted for a replacement. Obviously, this watch was a Lemon. Anyway, I sold my MIDO GMT and I even made a little profit out of it. Eventually, I never got used to the GMT feature, lol. Hopefully, You won't experience any more problems. Best regards!
@@unbiasedreviews5978 Your right a new watch is always best, but I live in New York City and I purchased the watch from an A.D. in Germany and I believe going back & forth with a store in another country Well make it worse, I do honestly love the watch to try this way first and I just saw the same watch in green ,some company moded it out and they are an A.D. too looks unbelievable Anyway thanks for feeling my pain. All the best.
MIDO is from few years ago on same level to Longines. These movement Powermatic 80, COSC, blued steel screws, silicon hairspring...is on par on OMEGA Their designs are just WOW. Best bargain for the money. It is needed go up to 8K divers to find the same quality.
Thanks for your comment! Although this watch is not officially COSC certified, it keeps -4sec/day which is within COSC standards. I'm quite happy with it. No regrets whatsoever!
Strongly disagree. Longines flies at higher level in quality, marketing and precision of the movements. For example, the competitor of this Ocean Star is the Zulu Spirit... hands down Longines. At least you can compare RADO to logines in quality, and i prefer RADO for the outstanding materials! But MIDO is 100% better than Hamilton or Tissot.
Many thanks for the review; I wish that Mido could transfer this brushed bracelet and ceramic bezel to another version of its Flagship Mido Ocean Star Attribute. Mido is rising up very strongly under the swatch group and they have already passed Tissot in the ranking, as a much better competitor.
Thanks for the video , this is the first video I have seen of this watch, which is a bit strange seeing as it is a true gmt at a very good price, I am loving the movement and the adjustable clasp, not so keen on the size, but saying that our wrists are the same size and it looked good on your wrist, looking forward to a full review from you..
Thanks! I'm still waiting for to get the full picture on accuracy. My test period is usually at least ten days. So far it's losing 4 seconds a day on avarage which is still within the standards and it's in watchwinder not on my wrist. As far as size, I'm used to big watches. I used to have Citizen Calibre 2100, now my every day carry is Casio G-Shock, so as you can see this GMT is normal for me. A little spoiler: the power reserve reached the astonishing 87 hrs and 20 minutes!!!
@@unbiasedreviews5978 87 hours is fantastic.. I really don't understand why mido didn't shout from the roof tops about the release of this watch, it seemed to go pretty much under the radar... I have the seiko presage sharp edged gmt on pre order, it was the size that put me off this one, but seeing it on your wrist I may have to reconsider.. I have an irrational love for gmt movements.. Plenty of wrist shots in the full review please. 👍
@@davids.2317 Will do! Just let me know if you want to buy this particular MIDO GMT for a low price from AD with the original 2 year warranty. I'll tell you what to do, so you can save $500 off the MSRP:)
A review is basically an evaluation. An evaluation is making a judgment set by one's standards(in this case myself)of something and this is best achieved by sharing thoughts. You btw sound like a shrink(no offense).

Thank you for sharing your thoughts, but this is not a review. These are your initial thoughts at best. You sound like you're talking to yourself. 🤦🏽
