Refreshing to see someone who can actually ride talk about an R3 lmao. Went to the dealer to put an order for one and they assumed I was brand new, nah man I've been riding for 5 years. These small bikes are lit. Helps that I'm 5'5" 120bs. If you want to be the quickest rider, the best rider, you buy a small bike. If you want to just go fast as hell and rely on that engine to be faster than everyone else, you buy the super sport. Not saying you can't be a quick rider on a supersport, but for the street? A lot of these guys are just dick measuring. IF I meet them at the track, they are always surprised by me.
Great exhaust and rev matching. I’m picking up my 2021 r3 in spring and can’t wait to ride. Your videos definitely gives me a good sense of how it will be. Planing to run a full toce exhaust with flash and air intake.
Hey I have a 2015 r3 and it's still clean asf. I mean the new design is nice it's more like the r7 , a lil bit more slim , etc . But the older ones are just as great ! Give them all love
I have a 2019 r3, first time riding it was hella scared of it, what he saying is so true, now I got 2 bike second one is a 08 GSXR 600 hella clean. After i got back on my r3 I was like why tf was I so scared of it its so light and easy to control.
I love my r3 man. Picked up a brand new 2021 model in raceblue in October. I remember being torn between the rebel 500 and the r3. Safe to say I have no regrets and highly recommend this to any new rider. Only thing I could say is my ass starts to hurt after awhile when I’m on long rides.
You made me consider a r3 though! Since I don't make a lot of money and I'm a new rider it would be great all around lightweight bike and the insurance would be cheaper than going for a honda cbr 500! But rn I'm saving up for a 4wheeler atv which is an all terrain vehicle but even with the r3 I'm considering the kawasaki ninja 400 depending on how comfortable it is to sit! The one feature that the yamaha r3 doesn't have and that the kawasaki ninja 400 has is when you shift up from 1st gear and do a tap up with your foot into neutral, it automatically puts it in neutral but normal bikes usually you do a small tap and if you are not in neutral then you will hit the 2nd gear so yea!
Ik this is an old vid but i bought my r3 for $2800, just had some slight damage from a slide. Thing absolutely rips and i did quite a bit to mine and made it look soooo much better than stock. Everybody says its a learner bike, this is my forever bike. Sure i’ll probably get a bigger bike but i’m never getting rid of my r3, it’s so enjoyable to ride backroads on
I agree i have a clean driving record and im also 21 turning 22 in march insurance is expensive for my r6 full is 2.5k which is why i have comprehensive and liability for 850 , the r6 is my first bike btw but i love riding my friends r3
I’m 5’9 170lbs and been doing a lot of research starting to think this might be the bike I go with I thought a 300 was slow starting to think not so much I just want a commuter thanks for ripping it XD
Hi Connor G am really hoping to get the r3 soon and do you recommend it as a good bike and often how does it handle on highway when speeding and does it go on a long distance
@@_hm-te7pg Yes and yes! Definitely a good bike, totally can handle the highway. I actually made a higway video here: ua-cam.com/video/P7qMla3yTr0/v-deo.html. Also made a road trip vid, here: ua-cam.com/video/SQ1xZqIpqck/v-deo.html

hey bro i realised you said you don't really like the design of he 2018 and below models of the r3 and prefer the 2019+ models because of the new redesign, especially of the headlights. What are your opinions of the front design and headlights of the 2015 and 2016 yamaha r3 where both headlights are packed together rather than separated like the newer models?
Personally I still prefer the newer redesign, the older ones don’t look necessarily bad. I think the front end of the 2019+ almost gives off the illusion that the bike is bigger since the headlights are more streamlined while the fairing nose is big and sharp
Could you show your riding position on the bike with both feet on the ground and your hands on the handlebars? Because I'm tall and heavy like you and I'd like to see what the driving position is like. Thank you
@@RickyMoto I'll probably use the 1 foot method. First, I need to complete the MSF course next spring then purchase a bike. I've been looking hard at the 2022 R3.
surprisingly not at least compared to my z125 pro. 1 i does kinda rev out a bit much during a turn so i usually make turns in 2nd. but from there on it pulls for a while before you hit redline. Going around town on local roads i'm crusing in either 3 or 4th gear around 30-35mph comfortably in low revs. and i can drop it to 2nd at mid revs while still going 30mph and do a pull up to around 45mph before i need to shfit to 3rd

this is the bike i wanna start on when i can drive
I'm getting mine too shipped straight from california! Should be arriving this coming month!

What kind of gasoline does it take? and how much is it to fill up the tank? I want to get into bikes so I'm just looking at videos to see what i want.
about $6 to fill up full, takes regular gas but i typically fill with premium
you could have chosen the ninja 400 which would cost you same takeout price price if the R3

Are gears: 1,2,3 very short? How bike accelerates, does it make you super busy shifting gears up and down: city/highway?

Same
I was set on the z400, couldn't find one, but found a nice r3 that looks new. $4300.
I’ve been looking for an R3 In Cali rn and it’s Hard to find and dealerships are marking them up 3k so total is 9K 🤦♂️
Ye they’re being upsold due to limited supply, u can save some $ looking on cycle gear for used models
Put a R6 throttle on a R3 makes a big differnts
Do a solo long ride video bro
I'm 20 with a 07 gsxr 600 and I pay $64 a month for full coverage insurance
That’s a real good price, prolly cuz it’s an 07
Glad you love the bike but wait until you ride your first 1000cc sports bike. It’s going to blow your mind nothing will feel fast again.

what kind of exhaust do u have?
Full system akropovic
Do you have any performance mods?
Only full system Akrapovic exhaust other than that it’s all stock
