    Bucktail jigs are some of the oldest and most popular ways to catch fish of all species.
    You can cast them to a two-foot deep sandy pothole in the flats for snook or vertical jig them in 200 feet of water for snapper and grouper.
    But there are tons of different sizes and styles of bucktail jigs.

    What a pleasant surprise to see "Millie's Jigs"! I still have several of them from back in the late 70's. The elderly lady who tied them, straightforward and simple, was named "Millie".

      Those jigs are classics! I actually bought about 10 packs of them after we filmed that lesson since I have such fond memories of using them while growing up.

    Awesome videos 👍🏼. I don't have a boat or kayak, so I primarily fish off the FL key bridges and platforms in key biscayne. I'm not sure which bucktail jig or jig to use or correct weight. Any suggestions?? I really just want to catch dinner for one haha.

    The Bucktail jig is the oldest lure known to man the Egyptians used to use them and it added bonus they have a built-in strike indicator so you know when you got a bite all short strike but the fish missed it
