OPEN LETTER: www.coles-corner.com/ Thank you to Reddit for making these memes, and starting my year in the absolute best way possible! XD www.reddit.com/r/StarStable/comments/18t14bq/activate_the_signal/ www.reddit.com/r/StarStable/comments/18tvmqy/poor_rattle_can_never_get_peace/
I honestly see star stable as a huge scam now. Between the A&B testing and the amount of horses being added without bugs being fixed, I personally feel that the game is becoming one huge cash grab as SSO’s ego gets bigger with being “the best horse game”
yeah i miss the old times when archie wanted to give us everythinng for the lowest prices.Old sso was better even witch the ugly looking models the gameplay for the price was different and much better.
Pretty sure that title is long revoked given there are better horsegames out now that aren't even finished. XD They need to stop acting like they are untouchable.
I don't think they are even capable of that, they see dollar signs and do their little raccoon grabby hands at the expense of their playerbase lol they're just incompetent.
Speaking of overpriced… I’ve recently updated my math on the Gen3 horses total cost. One of each horse (38 horses), it is 33,458sc. Now, you could wait about 6.5 years to buy these horses, or you could pay $669.16! This doesn’t account for the horses that will be endlessly released while saving, either IRL or in game. Now, if you wanted to get every single Gen3 horse color and magical variant (366 horses), that is 314,416sc. So you can save for 60.5 years, or you can pay $6,288.32. This does not account for stable care, vet care, clothes, tack, pets, hair, makeup, or the countless horses that will be released whilst you save. Them not wanting to give a 300sc is INSANE. What could we buy with that? A shirt, saddle pad, and maybe some leg wraps. Wow, life changing.
But you don't understand, the point is that with those SCs that numnah or leg wraps are FREE. And they can't have that, oh no, they can't have that... they need you to buy.... prrrrrrrecious.
While I definitely agree things are overpriced, your math is looking at buying the star coins at the more expensive rates when many people instead save and get 10,000 star coins on double star coin weekend for $69.99 so for your total needed for 38 horses, you could buy it 4 times for about $279.96 and have star coins leftover for clothing and tack and pets and if you are a lifetime member with the star coin allowance, those star coins easily cover all stable care plus have some left each week. Still insane for just horses and a few outfits and pets for a year, but not as high as you were saying.
@@NightheartProductions My math is based on the current 5k SC price, $86.99. Yes, it could be cheaper, but with a sale. Imagine you are brand new to the game; you don’t know that there are monthly sales but you really want the new horse breed. You buy SC. Even if the prices are halved to account for double SC, it is crazy expensive.
@@bonkedbybeau I'm not arguing that it's not expensive, I totally agree that it is. Where is it $86.99? (Like I'm actually genuinely curious as I didn't know it went to that elsewhere as for some reason it's still $69.99 here in Canada)
@@NightheartProductions In USD, at least if you access SSO via the mobile version (not sure if computer is different as mine is broken atm), it is $86.99. It jumped from $69.99 not too long ago.
thank you so much for saying this. actually made me sick to read all the instagram comments "apologising for the peer pressure" and saying that we shouldn't be so mean to SSO... insane
It drove me insane, not gonna lie. I snapped at one of them, just don't trivialize other people's concerns. It's far meaner and more twisted than raising concerns.
i've seen sso's facebook post and im actually disgusted on how many people were defending sso and i quote from some user: " I am so so sorry for all the hateful, entitled, spiteful, and more, comments that y'all have gotten." It's actually sickening on how many white knights are defending sso's actions.
I hate that the situation has been completely forgotten by now. It seems that people are just willing to let them get away with it because we got the code.
This makes me glad I quit the game this year. Usually I get sad at quitting games, but Star stable is such a different game than it was in 2013 that I just. Don’t feel bad. The game I loved died in 2016. I don’t miss it, because I already had 7 years to grieve it.
I wish, but there is no game that compares in my very extremely tight list of games I actually like and will play. For example, it has to have animals, preferably horses, questline, customizable characters, simple and no dying or shooter/ stressful games, must be on PC or iPad, must be interesting to me, and have NPCs I can relate to. So, this is only one of three games I play.
I made a reddit post about the strange relationship between SSO and its players. I have never seen a parasocial relationship between a gaming company and its consumers, the way some players react to SSE receiving criticism is fascinating. My reddit post talked about the fact that SSE is not your friend and that some players get so defensive for the company it feel like they believe the game is gonna shut down if someone says a horse is ugly. The comments on SSOs post where they share the 300SC code really shows this fascinating relationship certain players have to this multi-million dollar company, talking about how they were "peer-pressured" and "bullied" as if they were a actual person. If SSO was the small indie studio they were years ago I would have understood, but they are not anymore. I just find this so interesting as I have never seen this in any other gaming space. I have never been told to "lower my expectations" or "be grateful" for a product I am playing for. This is just so interesting to me!
Right! Part of the SSO community acts like stan accounts for SSO. I think the worst part of it is how SSO just keeps referring to us as Star Fam amongst the criticism, it fuels those die hard players!
I once told the SSO account on Facebook that the membership is way to expensive and I don't think its worth 11000 FT. The amount of people coming for me because "you don't have to play it then" like damn I was just a kid with a horse addiction, just wanted to play the game and enjoy it like everyone else, but I was poor af. Now I am happy more people realized how SSO views money more than the players experiences with the game.
It is a weird relationship, perhaps because so many started playing as young kids and bought into the starfam thing as reality. They don't seem to get that this a company and profit is the focus.
SSO encourages toxic positivity and disrespecting each other on a new level.. they’ve brainwashed and manipulated their entire “starfam” it’s actually insane how harmful this environment has become. way to go for a company who claims to promote friendship, positivity, inclusivity, acceptance and a love for horses. personally I wouldn’t have used those words to describe this at best shady and questionable company tbh
I have no idea why this was recommended to me; I've never heard of this game and don't frequent this corner of gaming, but this was both very interesting and disheartening. It's so obvious that the devs simply don't care about their player-base. They just want money, and want to get it via the least amount of effort possible. It's also clear that there's a really dedicated playerbase who love this game very much, and are being let down over and over again. Remember: companies aren't your friends. Pushing at them to do better, to fix their products, isn't bullying or peer pressure - it's just asking them to be responsible and to _do their jobs_ as the behind-the-scenes for a product that people are paying them for. Do not trust teams like this who give as little as they can feasibly get away with while still angling for the 'uwu we're really trying our best guys 🥺' vibe on social media. It's manipulative; it's false; it's gross that they're weaponising the very people who love this game against _other_ people who love this game, but also want the devs to get their act together. Please support this boycott, even if it's hard for you. Don't financially invest in this game until they start _doing_ better, not just _saying_ they'll do better. Hold them accountable, and in doing so, help guide your game towards better paths. - signed, a Very Tired Ark player & ex-Blizzard fan 🥲
Fr. The way they speak, how they explain things without making it boring, how its about something 'serious' but they add a bit of humor and sarcasm into it. Its literally the best for background noise too because its something im interested in and its VERY easy to follow along, even if you missed a small part. Most of the time whatever i have in the background i kinda forget its there but with rattle im able to follow along without giving it my full attention
I'm early for once? Also SSO is EXTREMELY lucky there is no semi-magical horse game to replace them yet. For me it's easy to boycott SSO because I already found games that replace SSO for me. But my goodness they have gotten so GREEDY, it's a wonder that they're still running. I thought that maybe they had changed, but no, they did a complete 180 and they got so much worse. As of right now SSO has made themselves extremely exclusive through SC prices. Only rich kids and adults with money to spend can really enjoy this game (if there's anything fun to do in the first place). I don't know how they expect this game to survive in an already expensive economy when their pricey offers do not offer much in return, it should be considered theft at this point.
I can imagine some big game company like Rockstar or another company is going to see that Online horse games ( Rockstar’s Read Dead 2 and Red Dead Online are already very popular in the horse gaming community ) are really profitable and make a game and when it happens ( because it’s only a matter of time before one of do ) I’m not so sure SSO will survive that without major changes to game, the price, and how players are being treated
AMELIA!!! Thank you! ♥♥ I watched your video! Sorry for not commenting sooner, had my head down (and I was trying to still be on vacation during the whole thing LOL - family wus visiting) That was a great video! And it was nice to see all the opinions gathered up like that :D
It feels like Star Stable cant make anything without having people fight back... for reason. They are getting worse at everything: customer support, horse models... etcetera. I feel like it will die soon, its been fighting for years. it's a shame. Because of Star Stable.
SSO at this point has become a scam. I am a veteran player and one could argue I miss when things were simpler, no I missed when SSO was honest with their playerbase, genuine and made it fun. I can't even hop on now for nostalgic reasons because I end up disappointed, the only joy I get from the game is the new hollow woods quest, and championships. With that being said, SSO was also a game to be able to make friends in, I met many people Ive lost contact with now of course in sso that helped me learn the type of people I want to be around, now everyones too angry at the prices and at sso to really make actual friends outside of roleplays :/ SSO greedy behavior literally shaped shifted their player base into ticking time bombs ready to explode as you shared in the video.
The free outfit from the Christmas tree was literally a recolour of the granny set. This company has so many problems.. it's very sad to see. It was such a unique game, but now it just feels so generated, like any other game.
Yeah, at least choose colors that arent so similar :'D Same for the saddle pad of grannys set and the one from the Shop for winter marks, almost same red tone
its important to note that the A/B testing was not the first time - people had ALREADY been confused about this and paying for a misunderstood product in previous testing of the exact same thing (in finland and more), and SSE went ahead and did it again - which makes it look like they're testing "how big will the criticism be, can we get away with it?" rather than testing if people want to pay that price for that product. if the result ALREADY had shown that the product information was misleading, then you can't argue that they were just making an oopsie by doing the exact same thing again without adjusting the clarity of the different tiers of sr. edit to add: another key point of this is that the absolute majority of SSE's customers are not adults. little kids are not in any way going to be able to understand that there are no sc allowance with such unclear information, nor their parents who just show up to put in the money and dont know anything about starcoins or the game.
Im almost glad i didn't know till recently that you would get 300 star coins for Christmas because i would have been logging in everyday, looking for a place with internet and then disappointed. I hope that one day this game gets better but at this point i hope someone can make a good horse game that has no issues with devs, money, large ambitions that are just unattainable.
girl did you even see the part where they just recolored the bday set for the granny set?? like no, you indeed did not work hard on any super star fam gifts. also can we talk about how they literally implemented inflation in a horse game its actually really insane
My definition of greed seems to change every year. Around 2018, I started noticing some minor complaints, but it wasn’t until the developer started releasing a new horse breed each month with random magical horses sprinkled in between, that people started to call them greedy. That was nothing compared to what they’re doing now. And it’s so much worse because all of these schemes are targeted towards children. The people behind these terrible decisions are more than greedy.
Another thing that really pissed me off with the whole 'the team had been working very hard for gifts blah blah' was that most (if not all) of the items we got were recolours from previous events and then food, jorvik shillings and winter tokens... working hard huh..?
Not to mention the events have actually just downgraded throughout the years or just been removed entirely yet they always try and act like creating the “events” was so terribly difficult for them or something when it’s just the same recycled races etc every single year
I’ve said it once and I’ll say it again, this a/b testing can’t be accurate if the buyer doesn’t even know the difference! Thank you so much for making this in-depth video!
What's sad is that they chose not to give away 300 free measly star coins but I myself and I guarantee several other players would have been willing to purchase star coins again soon had it not been for their greed. Now I'm boycotting them and refuse to give them more money until they do better. They're going to lose out on so much more money then just what 300 star coins are worth
This is why I beg you to look into the development team of WolfQuest. Its not a horse game, but MAN, these developers are doing EVERYTHING for their players with the most minimal amount of micro purchases available (for new wolf coats and DLC maps), only to support their work. It is INSANE and I love it. They deserve so much more praise ❤❤❤❤❤
It really is twisted how some people act like we should be grateful for SSO doing the bare minimum when it should be SSO that works hard to prove to us that they deserve our money…😔
this channel is basically the only window I have on the starstable drama since I quit the game, the only thing I can say is...well, nothing, I'm not even surprised anymore they made one step forward and ten backwards like always. P.s: I loved the intro
I AM SO ANNOYED BY THAT!! That's like creating a character with a blue and red suit and calling him Power Man, and his name is Kent Clark, and then denying that it has anythintg to do with Super Man, because Superman has a Red and Blue suit!
I find it hilarious that they removed Santa (&anything related to western Christmas) and Easter because "it is not celebrated by every culture and religion and we need to stay inclusive" yet they kept Halloween which is culturally practiced only by the loud and proud nation of the USA - I am aware of other cultures' traditions like Día de los Muertos, etc, but the counterpart in SSO is 100% based on the north-american Halloween.
@boyisha7755 Yeah it makes no sense that they would do that to the winter festival and not the Halloween festival! SSO doesn't seem to understand that stamping out every trace of culture present in their winter festival is not inclusive but exclusive.
When I tried the code, it said I was not alligable (?), and I have NOT used the code earlier. Thanks SSO, I've played since 2013, 10 damn years.. But thank you, my love for other GAMES have rekindled thanks to your yawn of pretty pixels. Happy new year Rattle! ♥
@@YTRattle @KSJen i think it says on their post the code is only up until 4th of january.... which means the code was up for like what, 7 days?? LOL im so done with SSO i dont even...
@@lenaamundsen1938 Also the code was elegnantly hidden in the description of the post, not displayed on the picture with big bright letters like any other redeem code post (I also mentioned this in another comment's reply)
Yeahhhh, it stopped working today, I am pissed because I didn't get to even redeem it, I am not on their social media so I and the other people got fucked.
I still remember being a kid and getting amazing customer support emails! They were so nice, at some point they gave you sc if they were late for more than 48 hours with a reply! And they were actually helpful and so sweet. Inviting me to visit the office and everything, sso seemed like a dream work place. It just makes me sad seeing it at the state its currently in.
I'm worried the non-allowance membership testing thing is gonna end up as removing option to buy a Star Rider with allowance all together. Just look at any other game, i don't know about any that gives you premium currency just like that, every week for doing literally nothing. It's always either season passes (so essentially missions) or extremely rare occasions, or most often just not at all - it's ONLY obtainable by actually buying the currency. The fact that you can buy a LifeTime, then not play at all for half a year, and then you find 2.000SC on your account while you did not even spend a minute in the game... it's almost too generous for what's happening at current SSE lately.
you wouldn't get 2000sc this way because you have to log on the game to get your allowance 💔 I got lifetime in 2013 and had a year long break, didn't get SC for that
The worst part is that all the extra money they make from inflating prices & cutting corners won't end up in the pockets of the people who're actually MAKING the game, like artists, coders, designers, writers, etc. That money will instead go to higher-ups & shareholders.
You know one thing that always gets me about the whole less star coin handouts during holidays/events is that SSO seems to think that by taking away these free star coins, it will force people who never buy them to purchase them. But if you ask me, logic dictates that taking away these free star coins will cause those people to never buy them instead. If these people are already patiently saving up with what scraps they can get throughout the year (possibly saving across multiple years for one horse), what makes SSO think the players with that mindset will turn a complete 180? These are clearly the type of people who already decided not to impulse buy in the game, and good for them to be honest. And when it comes to having different tiers of star rider, I don't necessarily mind the idea. Some people do just genuinely want to play the story and explore, and if they're willing to sacrifice star coin allowance to save money, so be it. But SSO of course had to mess it up. And since they're going to do this, they also should allow people to upgrade tiers later for the remaining price difference (ex full star rider is 80, part star rider is 50, then you can pay 30 later to upgrade) but we all know that's not going to happen. And of course everything for the game is overpriced to begin with.
im pretty sure you can sue SSO for wrongful advertisement since the cheaper bundle shows that you get SC, if someone sued Hersheys cause thier recess packaging shows jack'o laturn patterns but the actual candy did not im pretty sure you can sue a gaming company
They should've charged 30$ for the no allowance option, anyway. I don't know how they are so bad at PR at this point. I think another idea would be to add a permanent SC discount to Lifetime Rider accounts, too.
I remember the days (maybe 2021/2022) where they gave us a free desktop wallpaper for every seasonal event … that was one of the many fond memories I have , not old star stable .. but the great one (mind you, all those years were amazing I just started playing in 2018)
I'm torn, i'm so damn torn, i love this game so much everytime i launch it and see my horse the first time that day it feels like coming home... and then i see this and feel so bad because why the fuck would sso do that, i hate it so much, i have disproportional strong feelings about that, they are literally ripping of children. I really love that stupid game but that shit's just not acceptable
I can see where you're coming from. One of my favourite games is Alicia Online. I LOVE the game, and I have tremendous respect for the amount of work they had to do to build that game up from the ground up. But, man, they do stupid shit. So I'm always on this fence of: I want to LOVE this game, but everytime they do something really dumb, I just back off and pretend it doesn't exist for a while. Which is not really good XD But I do understand ♥
My husband does a lot of testing for his company and said "That's not really AB testing, that's just some people get what they wanted, some people get fucked." He said it's really only best of you're testing different banner designs and such, where you get the same thing but you see which design attracts more clicks. The fact they didn't inform the customers like they should have is scummy and probably could result in them getting sued. It's really scummy and awful that they're doing that.
What gets me isn't that the cheaper SR package was "unclear," it's that the graphic clearly says that the allowance IS included. I agree that it wasn't intentional. It was lazy. Just the same graphic as the regular package, without even a quick glance to make sure it was right. This laziness is what I think of most when I think of SSE management. Which is sad, because the actual developers of SSO clearly try their best. The in game assets are beautiful-- the new models are gorgeous and the music is always excellent. Even the bugs are most likely due to technical debt, but I can just imagine the C Suite Suits shutting down any dev requests to take the time and resources to fix or even make a new engine. Speaking of laziness, I want to complain here about having a game marketed towards a young audience, giving that game a chat system and then not having moderators online. The chat filter is NOT enough. Whenever I logged in I'd see people spamming slurs and hate speech in global chat, and that's just what I can say from personal experience. There are constant stories of predators in the game, and while I've never personally seen it, I believe it. The lack of oversight makes the perfect environment for them. But a chat filter is free, and moderators need a salary, so that's not happening. Not only do they need salary, but they need paperwork and a hiring process and that's so difficult for a company. I despise seeing people say we "should be grateful" for what SSE does. No. SSE is a company. We are customers. We are in a financial transaction. There's NO need to "be grateful." Give the company money when you feel you get something of equal value in exchange. If they don't offer value? Don't offer money! SSE is not a friend or family member doing things from the goodness of the heart. As I said above, I have a lot of sympathy and respect for individual devs at SSE, but "being grateful" and giving the company money regardless of the return will not improve the situation the devs are in. I play FFXIV. I pay a subscription because I feel I get my money's worth. If SSO didn't have lifetime (that I got at a discount WITH the allowance) I wouldn't have Star Rider. A subscription adds up and it's not worth it, not when I have to pay MORE money to access the major parts of the game. Even though FFXIV is more expensive and expansions cost extra on top of the sub, you get the entire game. But I've long felt that MMOs aimed at younger audiences are far more predatory than MMOs aimed at adults. Kids are easier targets. I feel dirty when I play SSO. (Someday we'll get that PC port of Bloodborne... I believe.... I mean it took eleven years for Demons Souls to get a remake, so there's no need to give up hope, right? Right?)
The chat sucks big time, i went online and was doing something, but then in chat there was a spam of racism, sexism, and r4pe attacks at CHILDREN. IN A KIDS GAME. Why were they doing this you may ask? THE KID WOULDN'T NAME THERE CLUB SOMETHING INAPPROPRIATE OR LET THEM INTO A HIGH UP DRESSAGE CLUB. Like seriously!? All over just that? But NOOO they had to ask for a free horse and when they told them that no trading was a thing. They got more threats! I had reported to the team and guess what!? THEY WERE ALOUD TO KEEP PLAYING EVEN THOUGH I PROVIDED SCREEN SHOTS. (Sorry if this is alot got no where to say this)
I get you! Complain away, I do, too. Most of the racism/slurs/harassment I see when I'm online just seems to be from people who realized there were no consequences, so just spam the chat with it because they think it's funny, I guess. No reason is a good reason, but this SSO NEEDS in-game moderation so badly @@Bowwybear8422
Omg another FFXIV player, I love that game so much ♥.♥ And sure, people hate subscription based games (which is only 13 Euro per month) but wont bat an eye spending like 60 Euros on Star Coins in a game which Isnt the worth the huge sums of money imo. Oh and btw its law in Germany to have a human chat moderator for online games for kids to technically they ARE against the law if they really dont have one. Also spitting straight facts in your comment
@@nikachan5425 Hi! Did you watch the Fanfest keynote? Micro-transactions are a scourge. I understand the thought process-- "I don't HAVE to spend money, so I'll just spend it on this ONE thing I want" but then the "one things" add up. One pack of 1000 Star Coins is more than a month's subscription of FFXIV. I do understand that FFXIV has a much bigger resource pool to pull from. But SSE can't even do the easiest and cheapest thing FFXIV does: be transparent. This seems to be hard for so many games and I don't know why. As for German chat laws, I didn't know that! I'm not surprised, though. That tracks with other German internet laws I know of. Maybe SSO has moderators for countries that require them? I've never played on a German server, so I don't know. Regardless, they ought to have them in every server.
I once saw someone say that we were being greedy for wanting these free star coins, which isn't true at all. All the time Star Stable is constantly disappointing us with updates they promise and never get released, a singular yearly code, traditions so many people love only to be taken away, etc. One small code that we get ONCE a year shouldn't be considered greedy if it doesn't even get us a horse, which are being released so often it's literally impossible to get everything in game by being free to play. If anything, THEY'RE being the greedy ones. It used to be so simple back in the early days of SSO. After 2016 it just went completely downhill. I feel the release of Mistfall was the cause of a lot this. Not only this but if you're mainly free-2-play (assuming you have bought lifetime which ALMOST makes it free over an extremely long amount of time) It still takes THREE and a HALF months to get a horse that costs 900/950-star coins which is almost all the horses that are being released today.
I didn't even realize until now that it was avaiable through code, not automatically added... which kinda infuriates me because I saw the post about it pretty early, but since it wasn't formatted like any other of their redeem code posts (pic of the gift + code in big letters) it didn't even cross my mind that it is a redeem code...
I haven't given my money to this game in months which is a real ouch for them since I had been previously buying star coins almost monthly. It all started when the release of the new characters took an absolute dump on the game by making it nearly unplayable and certainly unenjoyable for months with the addition of so many bugs and the inability to fix them in an appropriate time frame. The characters should not have even been released in the state they were in. Then, while actually having a good time collecting light on a random Friday morning, I was kicked off of the game for a minor update (usually a bug fix) only to log back on a few minutes later and find that the prices in the tech tree had basically tripled. That was soooo cool, best update of 2023 right there. And as if it couldn't get worse, on Christmas day when I logged on to get my star coins, I was severely disappointed when I got some ugly hooved yeti with an itchy ass that took them a grand total of 3 business seconds to create. I found it hilarious that people were claiming players were being "impatient" and that SSO had planned on giving us a star coin code the whole time because in the last 12 years that I have played this game, they have NEVER given out the star coin code on a random Friday after Christmas like they did this year, it has always been on Christmas day. They were definitely feeling the burn of people withholding their wallets and I love that. The boycott needs to continue on a large scale, otherwise they have no incentive to change.
I would also like to add that it is such a shame because this game is truly fun and magical and unique at its core and there have been so so many amazing improvements to the game over the years, but it really is like the game takes 1 step forward and then falls down 27 flights of stairs. I'm not really sure what's up with that, but it seems that has been the trend for this game for the last ~6 years.
great, i was waiting for this video! especially after the memes lmao. just wanted to add that the email support sent asking for €45 was posted by me in the comments of my own reddit post and not the first reddit user ^^" it was the reply sso gave to someone i know asking about the discounted star rider he accidentally bought, and yes the currency was wrong because he bought the star rider in pounds not euros. sso refunded him the £35 after making their statement, but im not sure if they did for the first reddit poster.
Your video explaining the uproar from players almost not getting their bonus Star Coins reminded me of Griswald’s Christmas Vacation movie scene where Clark was expecting a bonus at Christmas but instead his Boss didn’t do bonuses that year and didn’t tell the employees. Clark had a HUGE blow up about it and then ended up getting a bonus later. This SSO situation is pretty much just like that.
your videos are by far the best at explaining things simply while going into depth about the situation at hand. extremely commendable job on your work, the effort is clear! ♥
Well, this is wild! As someone who has mostly just watched the Star Stable drama from the sidelines, I'm surpsied it still has such a big following. Nice seeing it get covered so thoroughly. I'm not sure if you take suggestions on future games to cover, but maybe you'd be interested in Pocket Card Jockey: Ride On. It just released for the Nintendo Switch, and is apparently a sequel to a cult classic on 3DS. Or so I've heard! Definitely unique as far as horse titles go in terms of gameplay.
Thank you for your amazing work rattle, you always make things so easy to understand :) I really needed a sso drama video from you cx (I'm going through a really painful break up atm)
Just wanted to quickly say, i found your channel today and watched a TON of your videos just because i've been really interested in star stable documentaries lately. Every single one of your videos is full of structure, amazing arguments, understanding and reflection and i love that about your channel. the way you include other content creators of this space while comparing them to the player base makes your videos so much more engaging and informative than what other youtubers do. truly, kudos to you, you definitely deserve the views and many more subscribers :)
More money is being demanded and less rewards worth waiting for are becoming fewer as time goes on. Just isn't as fun to log on anymore like it used to be.
I totally agree with you Rattle. SSO really messed up this Christmas. SSO should really think. “Why are their customers/player are upset and are likely to leave and never come back?” I have an answer: We don’t feel equal or a family to them. Why should we come back, pay star coins and star rider. When they treat us like wallets. We don’t feel connected to SSO and this may be the start of the downhill of SSO if they don’t act. (Just to be clear, I would call myself an half ex player of SSO. Only knowing what goes on by my sister that still plays but she is at her thin end with this game as well.) The only reasons why players stay are: Love the main story? Bonding with our horses? Riding Club? Nostalgia? As a player that started in 2012. With it also being one of my childhood games, It upsets me that they destroy that tradition for Christmas. I’m only hoping that SSO fix this game before it’s too late. I would hate that they are shut down SSO for good, due to angering their players, bugs and so much more. (I just had to rant to this, I apologize if it hurt anyone feeling of my opinion.) Btw I thought about the differents between SSO and other games like Genshin. They main story line is mostly connected. Expect buying horses and pulling on character on banners. (I would go on explaining more, but I’m starting to forget what I thought about while watching. I might take note and think about it.) (Apologies again for anyone about my option and Rattle. GREAT VIDEO!! Thank you again for speading your time and effort for creating it. I kind of hope that SSO would connect you about it. If they get their head out of the sand.)
Hey Rattle, I have been having an issue with star stable recently. I own a club and I’ve owned it for a little over a month now, I cannot ride my clubs horse though or any horse I own. Why? I cannot go into my home stable because I get a “suspected of cheating” message and it logs me off. This has been happening for the past 26 days! On Saturday it will be a month (4 weeks) I am fed up and this point. Every time I email star stable they say “this bug is taking longer to fix then we planned/expected” HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE? I’ve spent so much money on all the horses I’ve bought and sso won’t even let me ride them. I need help bringing this to star stables attention so it will get fixed.
idk about bungie and respawn given their recent fumbles, but I'm so glad you brough up the point of companies that actually make good games for their customers
This shows that sso hears us, but wont listen to us!! Edit: i just realized ive been watching your channel for 3 years now!!! Im so glad i found your channel. You keep things very simple and short, but its packed full of information and has the perfect amount of sarcasm/humor. *Ps. You may recognize me as fattfatt :)) i started watching from that account, but i recently made this account!*
I've been warning my subs for about 2 years (or more) that one day we wouldn't receive the 300sc at the end of the year. I didn't want to be right and I didn't expect it to happen this year. (last year now 😁) I haven't bought star coins in a few years, so I've been boycotting it for a long time, I'm glad everyone finally joined me 😅😅 I think it would be more viable for star stable to release the map and quests for everyone and for the star rider subscription to become a VIP subscription with better benefits. In my head, it makes more sense for non-star riders to be able to walk around the map and buy star coins for a horse that they now have access to, than buy star rider and stop playing (like me). I don't see many benefits to being a star rider other than earning 100sc every week. I think Star Stable will have to do this one day if it wants to survive, not this year, maybe not next year, but in a not so distant future. I opened Star Equestrian today and went to check out Bronco, it's looking beautiful, I can't wait to go there (says the person who was teleported to heartside trying to invade Bronco 😆). An online game needs these types of updates constantly or it ends up stagnant like Star Stable or Red Dead Online (thanks for that rockstar btw). There are new quests, yes, but it's always the same thing, it runs from one side to the other and only the cutscenes end up being interesting, not even the story interests me anymore. I feel like I'm playing Horse Haven, collecting horses. This is what Star Stable has become. It's a shame, because despite everything I still think it's one of the best horse games available at the moment.
Yesss this is what I was talking about on that call!! It just seems anymore that SSO is grabbing at money. Especially after I trained the horses in my barn I realized that there really is nothing else to do but buy more horses or do the quests that are broken up and boring now.
I can imagine if some big game company like Rockstar or another company is going to see that Online horse games ( Rockstar’s Read Dead 2 and Red Dead Online are already very popular in the horse gaming community ) are really profitable and make a game and when it happens ( because it’s only a matter of time before one of do ) I’m not so sure SSO will survive that without major changes to game, the price, and how players are being treated
Iunno, it seems impossible for a company to make a horse game that doesn't milk it's player base for everything they're worth. Maybe it's a disease, and we're better off with normal games that happen to have nice horse mechanics
okay i just have to say that this video was amazing. You talk so clearly and this was easy to understand even as a person who was so lost about this situation👌
I haven't bough sc for myself in over a year. For xmas I held a 10k sc giveaway, and gave the winner their code on dec24th. It sucks already that giftcards are so much more expensive than buying them through your account, but it sucks even more that when the winner tried to redeem the code they got an error message that told them it wasn't valid for their account. After multiple emails to sso, and days upon days of waiting, today I finally get a reply asking me for the purchase details. The problem? Its filled with spelling errors such as "If you cn you please", "Kind regards, I will, Susanne" and asking for my email twice in the list of details. I'm out $138 Australian dollars, have waited over a week, and you can't even spell check your emails?? Not to mention that the faq section states that if I file a chargeback (y'know, bc I never received what I paid for), they'll ban my account :) Sure fire way to make sure I never buy myself sc or any giftcards in the future.
*shaking my darn head* I knew it was bad, but this is just doing us dirty... what the actual bush... I have been calling them Bug Stable for years now. I do not even want to think how much money I spent in the game back in the day... I am glad I made the decision to stop buying XD my poor wallet... could have used them on some sweet chocolate :'D Very well put together video Rattle, super informative ♥
Thank you for this video. I fully agree on everything you've said. I even think that if they had made a statement beforehand that, for whatever reason, there will be no code this year, people would have been less upset but sso is so bad at communicating that I wouldn't even be surprised if they would forget to announce a new horse at some point. And even if we wouldn't know that they didn't plan to give us the 300sc. The whole response from sso makes that 100% clear. Why would you put up with angry and confused players if you could say: "Oh, the code will come as a end of the year gift"? It would also make the social media team look like complete idiots and would make their response even worse since it would indicate that they had no idea what the company was planing to do...which on second thought that would be 100% something I would expect from sso.
They make good things to ruin them later I enjoyed dressage but it was temporary and got removed I liked new Hollow Woods update and then prices have changed to unaffordable Main character's updated we've been waiting for? Well, not exactly... That's why I feel disappointed in the end And this A/B testing situation? SSE know their overprices become unaffordable. So they tried "different option" yet it ended up like being a scam :/
Great video as usual. I would like to bring another issue into the light, which I haven't seen anyone talk about. That is the increasingly bad translations and lack of translation in the game. I can only speak for the translations to Norwegian, but would be surprised if it isn't a problem in different languages as well. Back in "the old days" it occasionally pop up a mistake here and there, but in the last year or so i's gotten to a point where it is almost ridiculous. Spelling mistakes, grammar mistakes to the point where it is almost impossible to understand the dialogue, parts of the dialogue is in english, occasionally a swedish words appear in an otherwise norwegian sentence, the same dialogue appears twice in a row, causing the player to loose part of the dialogue, and on occasion vital information to the quest. The game also uses some "outdated" or difficult words in game that most kids/teens haven't heard before because they are not used in everyday speech in Norway, and in most cases easier/more common terms or words exist. In the bug fix log for november 15th alone it's listed 5 quests that lacked translation, it's not specified in which language the translation was missing. On the bugfix list for august 16th missing translation for the rainbow ribbon and wrong translation of a quest was fixed. The problem doesn't just occur with quests and dialogue, it also occasionally appear on information about horses, tack, clothes and other objects in your backpack. I used to love read the dialogue in the quests and follow the storyline, but these days it feels like the updates are pushed out as soon as they are ready for the english speaking players, and it impacts the non english speaking players negatively. What other explanation is there for several quests lacking translations? Considering the game offers a specific language, you obviously expect it to understandable and work properly...
Honestly not surprised. When they didn't give us any SC code all the way back in the Birthday event, I knew they were about to spiral to an even lower point. I love this game, but as soon as a suitable replacement comes up, I'd be more than happy to leave.
I dont even play starstable but you best believe when rattle has a new video about the latest drama i throw everything down and tune in lol Absolutely love your essays and hearing your thoughts ❤
Thank you for this video! (Edit) Didn't SSE learn anything from "A Christmas Carol"? Anything?! Have they even seen it? Don't be a scrouge, screw everyone over during the holidays, and don't make it all about how upset you (SSE) are at every 'childish' person (your entire player base) in the community. Also, don't lie about it, and genuinely apologize for greedy intentions. Otherwise, a dark future probably looms for SSE.
Ive had star stable ONCE, very recently. I wanted to get a feel for it after watching your videos. 10 minutes in and my character is PERMANENTLY STUCK in the beginning location's stable wall. I couldnt get out, nothing worked. So.. i quit. And i dont plan on going back.
Something I have noticed is that the art you see at the loading screens have really decreased in quality, like they look very cheap, quick and stressed. Specially if you compare them to the artwork we had before. This is really bugging me and I suspect this becoming a pattern. Many of SSOs updates recently have had that quick, rushed feeling that just does not manage to live up to be as authentic and immersive as SSO was before.
Oh WOW, the game that used to lock the ability to jump behind a membership paywall and stops basically all progression past level 5 without one, has trash movement controls, can't even update their models without breaking everything, AND still won't add male player models for other people is scamming their playerbase?! *I'M SO SURPRISED!* This shit's why I play Alicia.
Jesus. I finally deleted SSO from my computer a couple days ago because I haven't played in ages, and at this point it is feeling very unlikely that I will ever download it again. It was the UI and character model changes that pushed me over the edge - before that, I would still log on from time to time to train my horses while listening to an audiobook or musical soundtrack, but when the characters and UI changed I could barely look at the game anymore, and the last time I logged on was to check out the Hollow Woods update because I'd been waiting years for them to finally update that place. It looks great sure, but it's not enough to make me go back.
i'm not sure if anyone has any old prices for star coins/star rider but i do have them in my old account purchases. i think this game has always been decently expensive, the difference is how much effort was put into engaging into the community. i believe sometime in 2015/2016 we got a 500(?) or higher sc code because star stable reached a follower milestone on instagram. there was a point where we would get star coins like 200 just because it was the beginning of summer. :p lifetime star rider on christmas 2015 was $74.99USD 500sc on july 3rd 2015 was $13.99USD
@@YTRattle i agree! i can provide screenshots as well if you might need them for a video or something. i am also interested in contacting you about something else as well. do you have a discord or instagram i can contact you on?
I've said before, but every single time I read news of SSO's financial decisions, it is solidified: SSO will be the death of itself. It will be the sole cause. When you prioritize profits over player experience, to the point of effectively shunning your own target demographics, who will remain to GIVE you those profits? When you become unaffordable for that core demographic, who do you expect to afford your game?
Im a lurker who doesnt play this game, but i do play genshin and sims freeplay. Both of those gamrs use a similar way of gaining revenue by releasing new characters, and content that players can get. The core differences being that both of those games are free and you can get that new content for free with hard work, an option that starstable doesnt seem interested in yet they have the absolute audacity to play in yall's faces about it. Ive been quietly observing alot of the situations with sso and it doesnt seem *incompetent* it seems *maliciously flippant* and almost entitled - like they 100% percent believe they're not only deserving of player money, they think theyre gonna get it no matter what they do. They'll cut off events where players could get free stuff and starcoins because they dont want real life holidays in their game, as if they couldnt just make a fantasy equivalent. They'll shrug their shoulders when people loose their stables as if they dont care about the investment those players have put in. They dont moderate their ambassadors, they allow minors to work as moderators with no actual payment (offering in game currency, that would cost them nothing and could only spent with them to minors who already like the game and wouldnt know better is blatantly exploitative) and do nothing about reports of bullying and harressment, and they almost refuse to give yall an actual game to play - yet they make you pay to play and have the audacity to constantly ask for money for essentially cosmetics. Too many horses is never a complaint one should hear regaurding a horse game. The starcode drama 100% reads not as incompetent but as if they where testing boundaries to see how much more they could get away with only for them to find out they had abused player patience to the limit. When they say their 'team has worked hard' theyre hiding behind their employee and frankly the work their employee's put out with bugs and recolors does not even justify that. If this is the result of hard work, i do not want to see a rush job from that company. They have taken every opportunity to be greedy, they have taken even opportunity to exploit their player base and dare I say even their employees because i do not believe for a second that their employees have the time to actually create a product worth spending money and time on because these bugs. My main point here is they should be embarressed, because it is embarressing to be a game this old and to be doing this, and their players should not let up on them or forget these incident because the second you do they will go right back to doing it again
You know what the star stable community is turning into what I consider the Sims community there are tons of people that saying we need to be grateful for what we get when the creators of the game are treating their patrons like shit. And charging money for things that should honestly be either in one purchasable thing or patched for free, not stretched out over many different things so yeah it has turned into a cash grab or just over greedy thing.
For the past week I tried to buy star coins, tried with 2 different card, none of them worked, it kept saying that had a problem. I contacted them, and they said that the reason why I wasn't able to buy was bacause my bank was blocking the purchase. Okay, I contacted the bank and I find out that they were not informed that I tried to buy something, there was no record of my purchase attempt because their system didn't communicated my bank about it. I sent another email on the monday, and they still didn't answer. (My country doesn't use the same currency, but I had enough money to pay in dollars)

I honestly see star stable as a huge scam now. Between the A&B testing and the amount of horses being added without bugs being fixed, I personally feel that the game is becoming one huge cash grab as SSO’s ego gets bigger with being “the best horse game”
yeah i miss the old times when archie wanted to give us everythinng for the lowest prices.Old sso was better even witch the ugly looking models the gameplay for the price was different and much better.
with*
Im in another horse game on roblox and wow honestly same
That’s how I’m feeling about it too right now
Pretty sure that title is long revoked given there are better horsegames out now that aren't even finished. XD
They need to stop acting like they are untouchable.
we need to boycott sso for more than not planning giving us sc. Theyre getting scammier and scammier
Ouch, true!
sso is a good example of weaponised imcompetance
I don't give them enough credit to actively think about what they're doing. I just think they do dumbshit cause they're not thinking XD
I don't think they are even capable of that, they see dollar signs and do their little raccoon grabby hands at the expense of their playerbase lol they're just incompetent.
You're so right!
It's far meaner and more twisted than raising concerns.
exactly, they treat SSO as some small indie company when they are in fact a complete opposite. They leave no room for any criticism
The HTML code on the photo is impossible to edit. It literally shows the star code was made December 13...
This video is embarrassing
Cool, send me a pic! Or a video showing me, I'm all ears! ♥ @@javanan5258
i've seen sso's facebook post and im actually disgusted on how many people were defending sso and i quote from some user: " I am so so sorry for all the hateful, entitled, spiteful, and more, comments that y'all have gotten." It's actually sickening on how many white knights are defending sso's actions.
I hate that the situation has been completely forgotten by now. It seems that people are just willing to let them get away with it because we got the code.
The boycott stills seems pretty strong on reddit luckily.
seems like that happens every time sso does something shitty
unfortunately i think a lot of the players are kids, so they dont really care
This makes me glad I quit the game this year. Usually I get sad at quitting games, but Star stable is such a different game than it was in 2013 that I just. Don’t feel bad. The game I loved died in 2016. I don’t miss it, because I already had 7 years to grieve it.
Real
Man, that is sad! I feel you! ♥
I quit sso cause I just lost the fun. I log on to rp now, that’s all and hang out with my club. I only play cause off my amazing club and rp friends
I still play casually during events (if i find it interesting enough) but yeah pretty much same
I made a reddit post about the strange relationship between SSO and its players.
It's a lot like how Pokemon fans act at times, to be honest.

I've watched a lot of videos about this drama, but no one compares to your videos. You raised my bar on this kind of videos by a lot lol
Oh wow! Thank you, damn. That just made my day! ♥♥
No one else dug to find reason behind the free 300 star coins and this person(s) did. Research is inevitable to make a good point.
Ikr. Rattle is the god I worship. I really enjoy their videos😁
AMEN TO THAT. If a bigger, better horse game comes by, SSO is dead in the water. Those prices are insane, and people can't keep up anymore.
I can imagine some big game company like Rockstar or another company is going to see that Online horse games ( Rockstar’s Read Dead 2 and Red Dead Online are already very popular in the horse gaming community ) are really profitable and make a game and when it happens ( because it’s only a matter of time before one of do ) I’m not so sure SSO will survive that without major changes to game, the price, and how players are being treated
you explain and breakdown these things better than anyone else in this community ever could & i will always admire you for that
AMELIA!!! Thank you! ♥♥ I watched your video! Sorry for not commenting sooner, had my head down (and I was trying to still be on vacation during the whole thing LOL - family wus visiting) That was a great video! And it was nice to see all the opinions gathered up like that :D
It's gross how SSO is so butthurt about making blatantly bad choices and then recieving the (should be expected) backlash.
No, they not.
The free outfit from the Christmas tree was literally a recolour of the granny set. This company has so many problems.. it's very sad to see. It was such a unique game, but now it just feels so generated, like any other game.
omg so true! when I first saw the sweater I was like "wait I've seen this before-"
Yeah, at least choose colors that arent so similar :'D Same for the saddle pad of grannys set and the one from the Shop for winter marks, almost same red tone
its important to note that the A/B testing was not the first time - people had ALREADY been confused about this and paying for a misunderstood product in previous testing of the exact same thing (in finland and more), and SSE went ahead and did it again - which makes it look like they're testing "how big will the criticism be, can we get away with it?" rather than testing if people want to pay that price for that product. if the result ALREADY had shown that the product information was misleading, then you can't argue that they were just making an oopsie by doing the exact same thing again without adjusting the clarity of the different tiers of sr.
edit to add: another key point of this is that the absolute majority of SSE's customers are not adults. little kids are not in any way going to be able to understand that there are no sc allowance with such unclear information, nor their parents who just show up to put in the money and dont know anything about starcoins or the game.
And to quote our queen Rattle,

Boycot SSO? No problem. Alredy on it! Since July actually 😂
Boycotting since 2019 lol
been boycotting since 2020
I started PLAYING in 2020
Is it a boycott if I bought lifetime in 2016 but never bought any SC?
girl did you even see the part where they just recolored the bday set for the granny set?? like no, you indeed did not work hard on any super star fam gifts. also can we talk about how they literally implemented inflation in a horse game its actually really insane
GIRRLLL this video is right up my alley! 💞 amazing video as always
AAHHHH!!! THANK YOU! ♥♥♥♥♥
I love Wolfquest! The Devs are so so amazing and you can really see the love that they put into this game
Me too!!
P.s: I loved the intro
haha i love the intro the rat signal been activated you have to keep that its perfect
The people on Reddit did that! I was rolling!!!
@@YTRattle it's perfect for the channel makes me chuckle
I had absolutely no clue that they actually released a code for this and missed it. Fantastic that they did that last minute.
15:54 fr. Why is SSO afraid of saying the word Christmas? It's literally a Christmas tree.
@@YTRattle HAHA
@boyisha7755 Yeah it makes no sense that they would do that to the winter festival and not the Halloween festival! SSO doesn't seem to understand that stamping out every trace of culture present in their winter festival is not inclusive but exclusive.
When I tried the code, it said I was not alligable (?), and I have NOT used the code earlier. Thanks SSO, I've played since 2013, 10 damn years.. But thank you, my love for other GAMES have rekindled thanks to your yawn of pretty pixels.
Happy new year Rattle! ♥
Dafuck? Have you contacted support about it?
@@YTRattle @KSJen i think it says on their post the code is only up until 4th of january.... which means the code was up for like what, 7 days?? LOL im so done with SSO i dont even...
@@lenaamundsen1938 Also the code was elegnantly hidden in the description of the post, not displayed on the picture with big bright letters like any other redeem code post
(I also mentioned this in another comment's reply)
@@boyisha7755 youre right. Its absolutely tasteless of SSO
I still see cherries instead of a rat 😭but I am proud to say I haven’t bought star coins in YEARS
IT'S A RAT!!! lol! But yeah, I haven't bought SC in years either XD
Lol I thought it was weird tongs 😅
I have been waiting for you to speak on this, always love your vids.
The batman call was so funny 😂
I'm worried the non-allowance membership testing thing is gonna end up as removing option to buy a Star Rider with allowance all together.
Just look at any other game, i don't know about any that gives you premium currency just like that, every week for doing literally nothing. It's always either season passes (so essentially missions) or extremely rare occasions, or most often just not at all - it's ONLY obtainable by actually buying the currency. The fact that you can buy a LifeTime, then not play at all for half a year, and then you find 2.000SC on your account while you did not even spend a minute in the game... it's almost too generous for what's happening at current SSE lately.
you wouldn't get 2000sc this way because you have to log on the game to get your allowance 💔 I got lifetime in 2013 and had a year long break, didn't get SC for that
@@Julq4 Well you gotta admit that even just logging in and immediately logging off in like 5 seconds few times a month is not too much work either...
I’ve quit playing sso a long time ago, but I still love watching your videos.❤️
im pretty sure you can sue SSO for wrongful advertisement since the cheaper bundle shows that you get SC, if someone sued Hersheys cause thier recess packaging shows jack'o laturn patterns but the actual candy did not im pretty sure you can sue a gaming company
Yip! I didn't want to make that claim without doing proper research, but it's basically false advertising.
@@YTRattle completely understandable! its best to show the facts first but from what I know legally they can be sued
Is the screenshot verified and not edited? Sounds weird to me that sso would make such a stupid mistake that could cost them millions.
@@alman8908 im not sure if the picture is edited or not but that can always be looked at
They should've charged 30$ for the no allowance option, anyway. I don't know how they are so bad at PR at this point.
I think another idea would be to add a permanent SC discount to Lifetime Rider accounts, too.
They should be charging the main game 40 dollars and the no SC game 10 dollars. It's about what it's worth XD (cynical me is speaking now)
Main game should be $40 and no star coins should be $10 lmaooo
Ooo I was hoping you would make video about this! 😊thank you I love your videos so much always on point 🎉
Took me a bit longer than I thought it would! Was on vacation XD ♥
I remember the days (maybe 2021/2022) where they gave us a free desktop wallpaper for every seasonal event … that was one of the many fond memories I have , not old star stable .. but the great one (mind you, all those years were amazing I just started playing in 2018)
This is just inexcuseable. You know what's on my wishlist for next Christmas, SSO?
A TARDIS so I can go back to 2015.
Yeah, A/B testing is not the best way to go about price testing!
No reason is a good reason, but this SSO NEEDS in-game moderation so badly
@@Bowwybear8422
This just reminded me of the code, which i forgot to redeem, but it’s already expired! :D
NOOOOO!! I'm so sorry! Have you tried it in any case? ♥
@@YTRattleYeah, it’s same over here. In the post you put up on the screen it said it expired Jan 4 7:00 UTC. 😑
AHHHH!! Thank you! Why did I not double check!! XD I'll add a small addendum to the pinned comment, THANK YOU! ♥♥
@@YTRattle thanks! :D 🤍
Nothing beats watching videos about drama for games I've never played nor had any interest in
LOL! Glad you enjoyed!
Thank you for this!! I ended up being too busy to do reasurch into this myself so I appreciate a thorough video!
“Why are their customers/player are upset and are likely to leave and never come back?”
I have an answer: We don’t feel equal or a family to them. Why should we come back, pay star coins and star rider. When they treat us like wallets. We don’t feel connected to SSO and this may be the start of the downhill of SSO if they don’t act.
(Just to be clear, I would call myself an half ex player of SSO. Only knowing what goes on by my sister that still plays but she is at her thin end with this game as well.)
The only reasons why players stay are: Love the main story? Bonding with our horses? Riding Club? Nostalgia?
As a player that started in 2012. With it also being one of my childhood games, It upsets me that they destroy that tradition for Christmas.
I’m only hoping that SSO fix this game before it’s too late. I would hate that they are shut down SSO for good, due to angering their players, bugs and so much more.
(I just had to rant to this, I apologize if it hurt anyone feeling of my opinion.)
Btw I thought about the differents between SSO and other games like Genshin.
They main story line is mostly connected. Expect buying horses and pulling on character on banners.
(I would go on explaining more, but I’m starting to forget what I thought about while watching. I might take note and think about it.)
(Apologies again for anyone about my option and Rattle. GREAT VIDEO!! Thank you again for speading your time and effort for creating it. I kind of hope that SSO would connect you about it. If they get their head out of the sand.)
Incredible video as always, Rattle💜 Thank you for talking about this and the information you provided and amplified.
Great video. You expressed everything so well. Thank you for spending so much time and research on these videos.
Bungie has been a dumpster fire with Destiny 2 for years, I boycotted that game back in 2021
This shows that sso hears us, but wont listen to us!!
(last year now 😁)
I haven't bought star coins in a few years, so I've been boycotting it for a long time, I'm glad everyone finally joined me 😅😅
I think it would be more viable for star stable to release the map and quests for everyone and for the star rider subscription to become a VIP subscription with better benefits.
Sorry for the delay, I wasn't feeling well
Yesss this is what I was talking about on that call!! It just seems anymore that SSO is grabbing at money. Especially after I trained the horses in my barn I realized that there really is nothing else to do but buy more horses or do the quests that are broken up and boring now.
TINCANBOODLE!! Hello! And yes, absolutely SSO has become SO money hungry of late!
Not to mention that the faq section states that if I file a chargeback (y'know, bc I never received what I paid for), they'll ban my account :)
Sure fire way to make sure I never buy myself sc or any giftcards in the future.
*shaking my darn head*
I knew it was bad, but this is just doing us dirty... what the actual bush...
I have been calling them Bug Stable for years now. I do not even want to think how much money I spent in the game back in the day... I am glad I made the decision to stop buying XD my poor wallet... could have used them on some sweet chocolate :'D
Very well put together video Rattle, super informative ♥
Another chef's kiss for another great video 👏
They make good things to ruin them later
I enjoyed dressage but it was temporary and got removed
I liked new Hollow Woods update and then prices have changed to unaffordable
Main character's updated we've been waiting for? Well, not exactly...
That's why I feel disappointed in the end
And this A/B testing situation?
You know SSO hits a new low (somehow) when Rattle posts about them. Love your vids ❤️
I’ve been waiting ever since the 25th for this video 😂
Honestly not surprised. When they didn't give us any SC code all the way back in the Birthday event, I knew they were about to spiral to an even lower point. I love this game, but as soon as a suitable replacement comes up, I'd be more than happy to leave.
And *ThatGameCompany*! 13:54 which made Sky: Children of the Light and Journey
No matter what happens in the future,Games Like Titanfall 2 will never be forgotten !!!!!
amazing video. the info is perfect and what u say about sso is so true . i been play since 2013 and also noticed a lot of the things in ther game.
I've been boycotting since I noticed AB testing started years ago... not as many people had noticed but now people are really catching on
I dont even play starstable but you best believe when rattle has a new video about the latest drama i throw everything down and tune in lol
Absolutely love your essays and hearing your thoughts ❤
Thank you for this video! (Edit) Didn't SSE learn anything from "A Christmas Carol"? Anything?! Have they even seen it? Don't be a scrouge, screw everyone over during the holidays, and don't make it all about how upset you (SSE) are at every 'childish' person (your entire player base) in the community. Also, don't lie about it, and genuinely apologize for greedy intentions. Otherwise, a dark future probably looms for SSE.
I was waiting for this video❤
Hope you enjoy! :D
*I'M SO SURPRISED!*
This shit's why I play Alicia.
lifetime star rider on christmas 2015 was $74.99USD
500sc on july 3rd 2015 was $13.99USD
Ooo! This is really interesting, thank you! Like you said, the game had always been pretty expensive.
When you become unaffordable for that core demographic, who do you expect to afford your game?
a nice fresh rattle video, piping hot!
You want a biscuit with that? XD
You're a top tier journalist and I adore your work ❤
Ahhh! Thank you so much! ♥♥
Oh damn, that's REALLY weird. Wonder what's going on?
@@YTRattle I wonder that too.
I thought this was about star citizen, I'm relieved x)
LOL! Is Star Citizen still in production?
