Also for anyone in a low carb/Keto diet, I substitute red radishes for potatoes like in a stew or pot roast. Once they are fully cooked through the strong taste is gone. And they are almost identical to baby red potatoes
Great info. Radish at store today looked good. 1st time to buy radish and needed recipes. Now, after video and comments, I will make this a regular purchase. Might start with a radish salad. Thanks Dr Berg, glad you're on rumble also.
I love them, been eating them since 1970, when a Hungarian machinist co worker had me try them. Back then, they were hard to find. I like all radish, raw with a little sea salt and I'm good to go! Just cut some up a half hour ago in my salad I'm having for dinner.
Could have used this a month ago! I had a fever that lasted 10+ days with chest (lung) congestion! Thank you for letting us know about radishes! I try to have some whenever I can.
I planted my first vegetable garden and my red radishes are looking huge now, think I'll put them in the blender and save them for later, maybe try some of this recipe here.
Radishes work! Thanks Dr. Berg. I've used this the first time a few months ago and again Today because of nose mucus that won't go away and it's immediately away. Thanks! 😊💯
So glad to stumble upon this "radish" video! I had no idea it would give me a potential solution to my current sinus infection! I'm giving this a try tomorrow. Now I need to go find my juicer.
Cushite Calisthenics Olive oil in skillet, diced radish, cubed, onions and green peppers, almost cant tell difference from home fries, sometimes ill add very small potatoes, but very little and you will swear you are eating homefries
I don't like the texture of cooked radishes. To me it's like a half cooked potato. There are a lot of cooking videos for rashes, just search fried or cooked radish. Some low carbers put radishes in the slow cooker for a sub for potatoes, in a pot roast. However, raw is best for this video's point. Cooked is good for a nice lower carb meal ingredient.
I swear I eat pounds of radishes weekly. I love them so much! Glad to watch I feed myself good things. I use them instead of crackers for my vegan dips and hummus 😊
Radishes are classified as a goitrogenic food, and too much consumption of radishes, especially if you have impaired thyroid function, may result in further aggravation of the condition. Individuals with thyroid problems must make sure to consult their doctors prior to including radishes in their diet. For me they I love them but they make me burp and I heard somewhere that if we don't have a gallbladder to not consume them.
I love most vegetables, but I never was a fan of the radish...thankfully I frequently use ginger and lemon. Anyway, I'll try to toss some radish (ugh!) into the Vitamix when I'm making soups and smoothies. Cheers.
Dr. Berg, could you please make a video about the side effects of consuming 2-3 pieces of sugar free gum daily (like Extra for eg). I really want to know how aspartame in particular affects the body, and whether it shouldn't even be consumed at all. Edit: I would also appreciate a video on hair loss and how to get thicker hair naturally on a vegetarian and dairy free diet. I do take multi vitamins and B12 pills, but nothing seems to work.
Can you please give the precise ingredient measurements for the radish, ginger and lemon concoction? I get mucus in my throat as an allergic reaction to something in the fall and winter time that I would like to get rid of.
@Robin Vyas yes must be California sage. Native Americans used for healing. You can also make a camphor and sage bag to place under the pillow. Only inhale. 💖
That is great news I love radishes! I heard you cannot eat too much of it because its unhealthy. I am happy to see it actually has many health benwfits
thank you so much. I have both of these issues. always had that mucus thing. But even worse, has been kidney stones. I've altered my diet several times, and having a small farm I can get most anything I need fresh. But I can't find consistent good quality info on which foods best help fight against this. I always see what not to eat, but never really what is helpful
I recently had some turnips for the first time in my life(at least that I recall) and they taste like nothing. So glad they have little bags of precut slices to dip in hummus for a snack
talawoods25 Hey there (:) Please detox your cells completely by consuming: First, Chlorella, to make sure you purifie your cells’ environment. 2nd, Ramson in order to get rid of heavy metals that are On your cells And finally Coriander to make sure to take Heavy metals Out of your cells Please make sure to start gently, and increase your intake gradually. Sinus sufferer for years and like dr berg top of my head too, so just ate 4 raw radish . The taste was nice . Will do this for awhile and see how it goes . Cheers
Thank you doctor for your exceptional videos! Please do a video about bloating and what kind of vegetables and fruits I can eat. I don’t eat sugar and gluten.
Organic bone broth, organic blended or juiced greens, probiotics, fermented vegetables, kombucha, not eating fruit with meals and intermittent fasting will get rid of bloating.
Aldous Huxley thank you for taking the time to reply to my comment. Yes I am doing intermittent fasting. I started doing it 6 months ago. I don’t consume dairy either. I take smoothies in late afternoons so I don’t have it with my food.
First tried this. I was oh man does this look atrocious. But honestly it wasn't that bad since I washed off the radishes. But still taste was unpleasant. Anything for my kidneys though.
...💡What about for my dogs open pyometra condition? (Mucous build up in uterus)...wonder how I could make this work. Surgery to remove uterus or ruptured uterus if too much mucous builds up are the outcomes. Realize dogs aren’t your specialty. I just wonder how I’d get her to drink it...
Also for anyone in a low carb/Keto diet, I substitute red radishes for potatoes like in a stew or pot roast. Once they are fully cooked through the strong taste is gone. And they are almost identical to baby red potatoes
Yep. I cook them and mashed them with cooked cauliflower and butter. Delish keto dish. Hey it rhymes
Interesting!!
Wow! Yippee.
Great idea!
Will the health benefits remain?
Radishes are also wonderful replacements for potatoes (such as with roasts) when cooked!
I just sauteed some purple radishes and they turned from vaporous meanies to plump, meaty delectable bites.
I was just thinking the same thing.....
yummmmmmmm
Also parsnips, turnips, and celery root.
I cooked radishes but it didn't Cook
Anything that tastes like that HAS to be good for you.

I have never eaten radishes before, but I bought some today.
Are Radishes fat soluble? Do they require to be consumed with Olive Oil, so the body can utilize the nutrients? Thank you DR Berg!
He's so cute when he says "hey, that rhymes"... lol like a little toddler :))

Radishes also repel pests in your garden.
Plant them along the edges.

Smoke some marihuana

To relieve mucus from lungs pls burn white sage. Inhale the smoke. Helps with sleeping as well.

Dr Berg, do you have any advice on dry eyes from being on keto?
Thanks for the rhyming…. But I got a question: how about the leaves?
Radishes pickled with real lime juice plus a little bit of salt sounds good to me.
Thank you Dr. Berg💗💖🙌🏾
You're very welcome!

Great idea ... thanks doc I will definitely try that.
Just got two today. Feel like a good boy!

What about the leaves, can it be eaten?
Yes they can. A little olive oil and salt to taste. Make sure they are washed.
I would assume the leaves good too for the liver. Right?
Thank you🙏🙏 .... Is it true that itd loaded with Iodine?
Testing for sinus mucus. I got something going one in upper sinus and past two days a mild headache. So I'm trying Daikon to see if it helps
“On FIRE” 😂 I won’t be making that daikon radish cocktail any time soon!!!!
I remember in one of your videos you said use radish Tops and blend with kale, as radish has sugars n carbs... correct me.
Thank you doc. Please consider a video on bruxism.
Love the taste and crunchiness👅
