Great video I swear Lionel and Sam are brothers from different mothers lol, these two guys have a special friendship. Love seeing the momma’s doing their mommas workout. Everyone looks great
It's a bit slower. A GPS device will substract a few seconds per k. (If you look at the board at 5:24, 1:12 per lap is 3:00 per km and not 2:52), Still fast!
Lionel complaining about going to bed early bullshit he’s loving his new workout schedule because if he’s being honest he’s finally getting the best out of himself and we’re all loving it too. Eating right dedicated workouts proper recovery that’s what the season should be then there are no excuses. Great workout with Sam and the guys.
HR is so variable from person to person. His max might only be 160. My max is around 183, and i have seen people over 200 and they are way faster than me.
LOOOOOOVE THIS!! By the way thanks Talbot for putting the min/km for us non imperial people ;p Would love to have an episode with interviews of the athletes' partners, which could be extended to the whole pros really. Could be a cool and informative segment! Cheers mate
This is great to watch 🙌 That's a killer training group, just craving for a 48hrs with that pack 💪 Can't wait to see you guys at race. Thanks for sharing,Talbot you're a beast behind the lens.
Great stuff, makes me wanna get out there and train hard! Just want to also say, nice to see the politeness Lionel paid to his wife earlier on in the video, I think it was a simple “thank you“. Great example to us all. And finally, I’m training while I was watching this video, and the music definitely gave me a kick, but there’s nothing like just hearing the guys breathing hard, the pounding of their feet against the track. Nothing like it.
Great workout, great video, but also what a great comment section. No fake shit, just people admiring the hard work and the indestructible mindset!! Absolutely what I needed to see!
I mean I love early nights and early training sessions lol screw staying up late drinking your life away, big whoop. much rather be out training in the morning well rested grateful for life! nice ending talk!
Burnt in captions! What a dream video to be watching, thanks for that Talbot. Makes life easier for a Deaf guy like me. Loving this training with the boys, elevating the standards! 🫡
Looking good, some. And good Video cutter, did it pretty well. Sam seems had studied the kipchoge move. Keep on rolling ....😃 Say no to active forward effort, let it emerge naturally ... natural forward moving/falling effect - ....the Inline Principle 😎 May be using even your fingertips ... ? Running goes from toes to fingertips - if you using them. Those were times, when I could run ... The past is gone, Oh, it went by like dusk to dawn Isn't that the way? Everybody's got their dues in life to pay,
The per mile pace and the lap times do not correspond. A 71 sec 400 m lap is 4:46 mile pace, not 4:38. A 74 sec 400 m lap is 4:58 mile pace, not 4:41. If it was a 440 yard lap, 74 sec would have been 4:56 pace.
The on-screen metrics are awesome, but the per mile/km paces at 5:24 don't match the times in the right column. I assume it's because the paces are based on GPS. If you are able to adjust the data, the pace per k would be more accurate as the time per lap multiplied by 2.5, so 3:00 per k with a 1:12 lap? This is obviously a small technicality, awesome video. (Also, people seem to obsess about the paces, LOL.) (Also, I love those small cameos from Erin.)
About the HR, it’s been mentioned before… Lionel has an above average heart size so his max HR is way below the average person, therefore his HR will be lower across the board with hard efforts.
I have a dumb question, as an average human being, I'm watching you run at what I consider to be a very fast pace and your HR is only 135bpm. That's so hard for me to wrap my head around when my own HR is significantly higher at a much slower pace, so I'm curious, is your limiting factor muscular endurance? As in, the ability to maintain that cadence over a period of time?
I'm not nitpicking, I just wonder how these things come up so wrong? I assume you have someone (or more than one) helping you produce and edit your videos? 87 fahrenheit is 30.5 celsius, not 21. All of the reps are expressed in mile or km pace about 10 seconds/mile faster than reality. A 72 second 400rep is 4:48 per 1600m or 4:50 per mile. My guess is you are using a gps watch to measure your per-mile pace and it is exaggerating it quite a bit. Not sure why people feel the need to use GPS for workouts on a track? The accurate paces can be extrapolated from the accurate rep times. I guess it makes people feel they are running faster than their rep times indicate? Not understanding the purpose of this workout either? Too slow for lactate-clearance (which 8x400 w/60 sec rest is a classic middle distance LC workout), HR not high enough for VO2max. We used to do heart-rate 400s. 12x400m where we began next rep when our HR dropped to 120, which took 45-60 seconds. But we did them at 66-68 secs. Also, you are close to 120 HR 10-15 seconds after the rep. The reps are too short for threshold training and 71-72 per 400m isn't LT1 for any of you. So I don't get it. 🤔
Your videos are full of bangers - what is the first song on this video? We are regulars to your channel. I can’t get over the 4.41 pace. Great work everyone - athletes and video 🤘🏼
new to the channel here, just wondering why Lionel’s running form looks hindered and stiff? or is it just me? the other guys running looked more flowy and relaxed.
I love them ❤❤❤ Sam Long is such a good influence for Lionel..I love early morning training 🏊♀️🚴🏼♀️🏃🏼♀️
I love it too besides I'm 15s per k slower lol
@@Naah732 ohhh that's not bad👏🏼
Early morning isn't for everyone; genetics have predetermined times that are best for people.
Great video I swear Lionel and Sam are brothers from different mothers lol, these two guys have a special friendship. Love seeing the momma’s doing their mommas workout. Everyone looks great
This is a great treadmill motivator. I used to watch Lionel from my couch but now from in the gym, haha😂
Trevors run form making 2:50min/km pace look like a casual stroll 🎉
It's a bit slower. A GPS device will substract a few seconds per k. (If you look at the board at 5:24, 1:12 per lap is 3:00 per km and not 2:52), Still fast!
It looked like had to hold himself back in the aeriel shot when he was behind Lionel
Bros a former d1 runner
and with heart rate below 140 😂
@@fendy9733 doesn’t matter
Ah I wish I had a squad like this, what an amazing group
The display showing HR, pace and lap time is awesome! Keep up the great work @Talbot Cox!
Kudos Talbot, Great video. Nice work Lionel and the guys.
Absolutely love seeing these Sam and Lionel collabs! Keep them coming
A great foursome indeed. All pushing each other to be get the most out of oneself. Respect to these men! 👏🔥
Love that my favorite athletes are now working together! Enjoying the soundtrack also! Gets me in the mood to go workout.
Man, I love the editing. Awesome job.
Are these ppl even human. Keeping a HR of 130s at 3min/km pace 😲
I basically go from zone 1 to zone 5 with no in between. 😂
HR is so variable from person to person. His max might only be 160. My max is around 183, and i have seen people over 200 and they are way faster than me.
Omg....right!!! 😅
His max is pretty low…
Man they can sleep while run faster than me
The “Tucson Raiders” are back at it! Love to see the boys running together #nolimitd
They 3:00 @ 138bpm, meanwhile me 6:30 @ 166bpm 😂😂😂
6:30 for me is easily 185 lol
It is both comforting and inspiring to see such fierce competitors in an individual sport have great camaraderie during training.
LOOOOOOVE THIS!! By the way thanks Talbot for putting the min/km for us non imperial people ;p
Would love to have an episode with interviews of the athletes' partners, which could be extended to the whole pros really. Could be a cool and informative segment! Cheers mate
Talk about being a UA-camr. How good is this video!!! Let's go lionallll
Love the content and the new mindset. When the mind when the battle.
Lionel and Sam, a duo of duathletes
Sams running technique is superb.
This is great to watch 🙌
That's a killer training group,just craving for a 48hrs with that pack 💪
Can't wait to see you guys at race.
Thanks for sharing,Talbot you're a beast behind the lens.
Now this is a training group!!!🎽
Bad language is never necessary but I fuc**n' love your workouts.
Great vibe in the group.
Awesome Talbot. If this video doesn't inspire you to improve your running, nothing will.
Sanders is my favourite triathlete, love his story as an inspiration 🦾
In behalf of every one from europe, thank you talbot for the metric stats and figures😘
Great stuff, makes me wanna get out there and train hard!
Just want to also say, nice to see the politeness Lionel paid to his wife earlier on in the video, I think it was a simple “thank you“. Great example to us all.

Trevor looks so smooth running 😍😍
Great workout, great video, but also what a great comment section. No fake shit, just people admiring the hard work and the indestructible mindset!! Absolutely what I needed to see!

You guys make it look too easy. FLYING!
Every group "tempo" I've ever seen turns into a race...like this one...hee hee. Great video.
the best running songs are always on these videos, does anyone have a Spotify link?
Talbot has some great songs. Should list them

Wow, epic workout and amazingly filmed and edited video! Great work Talbot 👍👍

Amazing squad
Lets go Champ!!! Oregon IM 70.3 🏆🥇
You boys are all brilliant!! Going to force some of their competitors to go to very dark places to keep up!
Wow how did you get pace, BPM, and time of each lap on the screen?
I just love watching 4 guys running in circles for 18 min. 😂.
Trevor looks so smooth running!
Great content, thanks!
Love it !! Now I was to train with a squad !!
Awesome... glad u guys got some sessions in.. we need to give them Norwegians a go... ❤
Great pro vibes!
I mean I love early nights and early training sessions lol screw staying up late drinking your life away, big whoop. much rather be out training in the morning well rested grateful for life! nice ending talk!
finally lionel training like a real pro
Burnt in captions! What a dream video to be watching, thanks for that Talbot. Makes life easier for a Deaf guy like me. Loving this training with the boys, elevating the standards! 🫡
Talbot needs to check his Celsius conversions. That is hot! 🥵 21c=~70F which would be quite pleasant in the desert with no humidity
I came here to say this. 87°F = 30°C, not 21°C
Nice to see tfoley pacing some laps finally!
The pace tracker is a nice touch, only suggestion would be to make it smaller and maybe move it to one of the corners
Really great video, love it. Now I'm going out for a run, hope I will not run too fast 😂
So awesome watching you 4. Who is coming to Michigan 70.3?
Can somebody compile every time Lionel says ‘guy’
That shit is funny as hell. “Okay guy” “Guy, come on it’s a fucking joke”
The 4 musketeers - class!
Great stuff as usual. I prefer the running sections with no music but that’s just me.
Looking good, some. And good Video cutter, did it pretty well.

The past is gone,
Oh, it went by like dusk to dawn
Isn't that the way?
Everybody's got their dues in life to pay,
Gotta learn to reverse direction on some of these……great work
Lionel runs like a machine.
that is a savage workout
Thanyou.
after i started training for my first triathlon i am now the 5:30-6am psycho runner
Lionel was bricked up during that track session 😂
lionel and sam a real one

How champions are made
This group will be tough to beat at 70.3 worlds
At 1:55, what is Lionel pouring into the smaller bottle? Ketones?
Big session guys
Fair play for Sam doing that workout in his jocks(a k.a boxer shorts)!!!!
little Ben hanging with the best
Also Good Video content 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Team North America!!!

Good Morning Lionel, can you give the name of the headphone you use for swimming and running training? Thanks, 🤟🏾
I hate having to go to bed when a UFC ppv is on, I feel that lionel😂
About the HR, it’s been mentioned before… Lionel has an above average heart size so his max HR is way below the average person, therefore his HR will be lower across the board with hard efforts.
@talbot when is the post race video coming?
I will just point out that the 400s were the same pace as the 5k... But they already know they were way hot in place for that tempo.
Does anyone know what headphones Lionel uses? I like the look of them
Lionel, do you have any recommendations for runs in Sedona and pine flat campground area?
And my 3 sense, keep training like this, you will get stronger, faster, it's up to this team to beat the Norwegians:)

I’ve raced on this track, in Tucson

It's STRLGHT - What I Would Do For You
What song is that starting at 7:30? 😮
