I wish I had seen this 6 months ago. I would of adopted 2 or 3 of them.

They're puppies; it takes 2-4 months for their ears to stand up.

Dude, I hate how people demonize Chihuahuas too; but saying dogs' lives matter more than people's is a large portion of the things that are wrong with this world!

I just lost my precious Chihuahua. I wish i had more.
🤧 I've had mine 17 years, at 12 he developed a lymphoma disorder so he got about 57 tumers all over his body an it just took one internal one to kill him, he's still kicking it, I might have to put him down soon since he's going blind, deaf and a long list of other issues.. my condolences

The shelter denies service to people to turn in found strays, this is why many are found in these situations…Caring for other ppls unwanted pets. It is not hoarding situation when the state refuses to provide services it’s supposed to for the community
It's because the shelters are beyond capacity. They have twice the animals their shelters are able to hold. It is at a crisis point right now ☹️

Take In many animals to care for myself and my family too had to take in animals for the animals that have been abandoned. (Out of our own pockets with no assistance from the city) The shelter staff are and were fully aware of ppl abandoning their pets outside the shelter. They didn’t care. We been doing a service to the community our whole lives.

There would be a lot more adoptions, but those prices are outrageous.
I paid $250 for adopting each of my dogs but the non profit spayed/ neutered, gave them all vaccines including rabies and also had them microchipped ready to register under my name

Many ppl abandon their pets and the shelter is aware of this but wants the community to take care of that problem on their own.
