    I have 3 boys in florida that I got pretty much full custody of in 2021. I am blessed to be a part of the small percentage of dads that get custody and child support. Their mom got supervised visits once a week. I just started receiving CS a few weeks ago. I got remarried to a woman with 3 little girls and I have been supporting all 6 of these kids on my income alone. I am blessed that I can make enough money that my new wife is a stay at home mom. My ex wife owes me a vast amount of back child support that I probably won't receive until the boys are grown. My wife's hasn't received child support from her exes until recently either. We are also raising a daughter that is neither of our child. Her mother is forced to pay child support bc she is included in our food stamps so the state went after her mother. Once my wifes ex finally gets out of jail he is ordered to pay child support as well. So hopefully they will all start paying consistently around the same time bc raising all these kids is tough on 1 income!! God bless you judge Vonda B we love you here in Florida!!!

    I live in Fl. I have a temp court order from mediation. Dad agreed to pay $100 a month. He didn’t submit any tax/ pay stubs/ bank account info.
    I most likely will take him back to court to get it increased. Diapers, formula, wipes, medical, clothes, daycare, and many other things cost to much.
    -diapers/ wipes $60
    - formula/ food $200
    - clothes $30
    -medical $200
    -daycare $700

    In central Florida, keep getting screwed over not only in court but also by attorneys. Have an open case now and it has taken over a year and a half almost for a modification. This state is ridiculous.

    I'm a single divorced father of 3, kids live me and are on Medicaid and get assistance with groceries. But nothing so far as support. Been divorced since 2017 she's been gone since 2015. And yes I am in Florida it's a royal pain but through department of revenue I think something is finally going to start

    What about mothers who block contact with dads who has mental instability, for fear of how it would effect their child. Does that count as the “bad mom” that keeps their kids from their dad? Because the dad may be good in his good days but as soon as their fuse gets lit, an explosion becomes inevitable. Is that something that the court will consider even if theres no solid proof like video recordings?

    Can you do a segment on the potential outcome of a case where the spouse asking for child support has a higher salary than the non contributing party? I make about $50,000 more than my soon to be ex husband but I'm not sure if that will factor in during judgement.

      I he was married then it screws him over. My ex-wife had an affair baby in CA due to the one year rule and tried to screw me but before she could serve me, I moved back to NH and the judge allowed us to divorce there. She go no CS nor alimony and was told by the judge that CA has no jurisdiction and would follow suit and that my name was to be taken off od the BC immediately.
      The judge in CA called me a weak coward for taking it to another state where I would win easily but it was also way cheaper. I could not imagine paying for a kid not mine.

    Does Florida still have preference for mothers in court? My stepdaughter has been left by her mother for the last 2 years to be cared for by the father. The mother is still collecting child support while the father is caring for the child. We are concerned that the judge would rather order our daughter to move back to live with a mother that doesn't want to be present in her child's life.

    • @Leondediosable
      @Leondediosable 5 місяців тому

      No, it comes to the factors of the law, so if the mother abandoned her, that’s a factor the courts may consider for the father to keep her, and he has to go to the clerk to ask what form should he file to stop child support but also present to the court evidence and proof about the abandonment, and how he is responsible for her, since child support is based on income and the amount of time you spend with the child, it will reduce if not stop since he has the child based on my experience. Florida Statue 61.13 read it all
