This song got me through some rough times 8/2009 - 9/2009 during a long heartbreak from a girlfriend I loved too much who I found out had two entirely other relationships with guys I had no clue about. Highest level of betrayal. Came back here to never forget that pain and never let something like that happen to me again. 13 years later im in an entirely different place in my life, for the better.

Here because I'm a Dandy Warhols fan from their inception back when I lived in Portland (OR). They're fantastic in concert, & great to dance to on your own while you watch their shows. Seen them 3 times, & would love to see them here in FL. I'll travel to Atlanta to see (I know they've played there before). COME TO FLORIDA (TAMPA BAY SPECIFICALLY)!!!

Yeah I remember getting joked about by my pals for being the only boy to watch the show. I mean, Ryan was a badass and played the role of his life. And Marissa looked a lot then my then-to-be-crush. The show had a lot of pathos. For me it ended when Marissa died or maybe one season before that. This show still causes me a weird melancholic sensation when I think about it.
Growing up in affluent southern CA this show captured it all.

@@puckofftheice432 again...maybe. But when I listen to music I listen to everything. Sure it's great if the band is tight and sound good but if the singer is obviously out of key or struggling it's a distraction to me. It would be like if I heard a guitarist who couldn't bend his notes properly or a drummer who fell out of time for a second. I'm gonna notice. Some people don't and that's fine. In some ways I'm kind of jealous of people who don't hear things like that.
@@puckofftheice432 That's the thing right? In rock it's kind of just accepted that singing doesn't have to be great, and that's fine but it gets to the point where, judging by youtube comments, some people don't even seem to be able to hear a singer when they're out of key.
And it's even kind of accepted by bands and singers themselves in a way that it wouldn't be in other forms of music like R&B or Opera etc....
Rock is my favorite kind of music but I've never really understood this mentality. If you're going to be a singer then LEARN how to sing....lol. At least learn how to be in key.
The issues you talked about with alcohol etc....to me that comes down to professionalism. It's what keeps bands like Dandy Wharhols at the level they're at in my opinion. And that's totally fine if that's what they want but the majority of the time the biggest bands will also be the ones with the most professionalism. They will pay attention to things like their live singing, harmonies, etc....They'll learn how to take care of their voices so they can survive a full tour and still be singing strongly by the end of it.
I think a lot of people in rock, fans and singers, think being a front person is just about attitude and "natural" ability, and don't dedicate themselves enough (the singers) to their instrument. Because it is an instrument.

Just got tix to see DW in London in march 2022. So Excited! Someone else said they were the most overlooked band ever and that's a fact but from a fans perspective the upside is we can see them in small intimate venues. Love ya DW!!

This random Australian reality show called my restaurant rules brought me here. I'm not Australian and nor is anybody I've ever met but back in the 2000s my mom burned it onto some CDs and I watched it over and over again. This song finally got stuck in my head and I googled it. I'm grateful
