Lyrics:
Can't explain all the feelings that you're making me feel
My heart's in overdrive and you're behind the steering wheel
Touching you
Touching me
Touching you, God, you're touching me
I believe in a thing called love
Just listen to the rhythm of my heart
There's a chance we could make it, now
We'll be rocking 'til the sun goes down
I believe in a thing called love
Ooh
Huh
I wanna kiss you every minute, every hour, every day
You got me in a spin, but everythin' is a-okay
Touching you
Touching me
Touching you, God, you're touching me
I believe in a thing called love
Just listen to the rhythm of my heart
There's a chance we could make it, now
We'll be rocking 'til the sun goes down
I believe in a thing called love
Ooh
Touching you
Touching me
Touching you, God, you're touching me
Oh
I believe in a thing called love
Just listen to the rhythm of my heart
There's a chance we could make it, now
We'll be rocking 'til the sun goes down
I believe in a thing called love
Oh!

If this came out in '83 no one would have questioned it.

It really could've been by Ziggy Stardust.
This came out in 2003

A song from 2003 that captures the 80's vibe, amazing.
Much like how Silk Sonic got the 70s soul sound and that is so damn good. Music up until the mid 2000s was so good. The mid 90s to mid 2000s almost every genre had 2 to 3 artists/groups that had a hit and everyone knew it.
@@sportssciotaku7149 I Love 80’s Music but 80’s Vibes??? This Song Sucks.
This is more of a '70s glam rock vibe (think Sweet)

This song has the Princess Bride effect. It's supposed to be a parody, but ends up being an incredible example of it at the same time, and in a way that makes you love it.
my all time fave movie forever and always. it's on Disney+ ❤
Not a parody the album had lots of songs in this style
I was 23 when this song came out, and I knew it was epic. 20 years later at the age of 44, it's still epic. The lead singer has a YT music review channel, and he's awesome.

Yeah, he's a pretty dang delightful fellow on his show. He's quite silly and just a good example of an English dude having fun and takin' the piss. Most of the stuff he says about the music industry is spot-on
Remembering when I convinced my youth pastor somehow that this was a Christian song and we actually got to play it at church. I don’t know how I’ve gotten through life honestly...
That must have been fun to watch
That pastor needs to be supervised if he has no problem with the "touching" part lol

Did you play it at a talent show or was it like you played it through some speakers from a cd?

This has honestly got to be one of the greatest songs ever written and released. You simply cannot tell me something better. Face melting riffs, huge chorus, the solo is a ripper, the ending riff explodes. It’s got everything. Best song since 2000s for sure up

If you are in your early forties RIGHT NOW this son hits as hard as any 90s grunge.
The absolute BALLS to release this song, with this video, with that falsetto, at the time they did... LEGENDARY
What's falsetto
@@Holy-Rowlo88 Your voice range is split in two, you have chest voice (which your regular speaking voice would fall under) and falsetto/head voice, which is the higher part of your register. Almost all singers utilize it in some way or another, but the way it's used by Justin Hawkins is very reminiscent of a lot of 80s rock/metal artists like Robert Plant or King Diamond, which wasn't very common at the time the song was released. I think it's a cool sound.

No other point in the 2000s was the androgynous theatric of glam rock so beautifully captured. I remember not liking it much as a teen, but coming back to it all these years later (and having matured a bit) I find that this band really had game.
I used to lol as a pre teen when this dropped and needed another laugh at it so here I am. Bahaha the song gets stuck in my head for no reason some days.
Still have game in 2023.. check them out
It's really awesome that it came back. The Darkness did it so well even if tongue in cheek version, although glam rock was always a send up 😊
This came out around the same time that coheed and Cambria and MCR started making it big time. I'd pick these guys over the others all day everyday and I liked them all.
I was approaching my 30s when this came out. I adored the absolute ridiculousness of it. I told the younger generation I was working with it was the best thing on the radio, it was maximum silliness but it was GOOD. The tune is catchy, the solos are banging and the singers voice is mind boggling. They said I was officially old and became fully out of touch.
Yet here we are.
I was 14 when this came out and my friends and I thought it was awesome
I was 19 and we loved this song so idk who those people were
I was like 11 when this song came out but I only really discovered it when I started playing guitar. I was completely and utterly obsessed. I was like 16 or something when I did.

I got the album because the song was dope and the girl with the butt made me giggle. Still hope to see them this Saturday
More songs need to introduce their guitar solos by having the lead singer shout "GUITAR!" right before it.
May I recommend some Def Leppard to you

Wow Im old
The world was simply not ready for this band. Before its time and after its time. At the same time.
RybackV1 it was just too much for the world, and always will be.
RybackV1 if classic rock stations would just give them a chance. There is a whole bunch of classic rock fans that still listen to the radio and complain about music not being the same as it used to be and here we have a band that delivers and rock radio in general refuses to play them. Hell around here they will barely even play Muse on the NEW rock stations. If it's new and not from Slipknot or Korn they won't play it on the "new rock" stations and they barely qualify as new rock stations.....only 5% are new songs.....
Pass_the_M I realized that while listening to thunderstuck the other day, the new ACDC album will never get played even tho its not bad, simply because its not from the classic era, and not popular enough for the new demographic.
webduelist ACDC albums still sell really well and there new singles get millions of views on youtube....what else do you need to convince the radio stations to play them smdh....
There's a documentary about this called "the day the music died". it explains in detail why only sucky music gets played on the radio these days. its a fucking cartel

Us people who “get it” have to stick together and help each other out when we stumble: you, me, the other person who replied to you, and most of the 27 million people who have viewed this music vid. For example: You described the hallway as triangular, but it’s actually trapezoidal! Remember the good ol’ trapezoid from geometry class? My favorite shape for some reason. Anyway, now, maybe you can help me with something. What was that red thing he was holding when he was pointing backwards? Only two things come to mind: a big ol’ sausage or a fire extinguisher. 🧯It seems to be cylindrical with dome-like ends, like a submarine or the rear end of an airliner’s pressurized cabin. Any help? Okay, take it easy!
@@tygersflowerz Nice, friendly reply! A-OK👍🏽 🤣 Anyway, if you read the reply that I sent to that same person you replied to, you’ll see that I’m seeking the answer to something. People like me, the curiosity is endless. I’m what’s called a polymath: someone who loves to self-educate. Maybe you can help?
@@UniversalMarcus1483 it really looks like a spray of some sorts. Maybe hairspray, or the dye that he used in his hair? The cap's the same color
I was today years old when I found out that he said “GUITAR!”… I thought he said “GET DOWN!” Hahahaha
Love this! The Brits are never afraid to use some imagination, even in rock
Pink Floyd, Iron Maiden, Ozzy, and so many other incredible rock bands were Brits. The Brits have the best Rockstars easily. Here in the US we had incredible Rockstars as well so everything combined beautifully. Many other countries had amazing bands that would rock hard as hell but the brits dominated the rock genre easily. Let's thank all these countries and their people for giving us amazing music.
OMG, that's why I love British bands
@@luzpueblalara4128 the invasion of Britain in the late 60s was huge , most of your favourite rock bands are British and you don’t even know it , we also created punk
Rock is all but dead. USA wins again… as always
@@vertigo10yearsago25 not true. The ramones are American. First punk scene was in New York. Also Brit rock bands came from uk blues players who who copied the American blues legends and made a new genre. America is the real birth place of all your favorite music
I just heard this great song in the movie Fall Guy. This is 🔥
The whole freaking album is incredible, front to back! The Darkness definitely kick ass!
So weird to me that a song that sounded so old came out when I was a kid. I played it for my mom back then because it sounded like the music she played and she loved it. One of the best moments ever.
The best
I played my mom My Morning Jacket because they have a heavy 70s sound (my mom's music) and she was blown away too! It's a great memory for me too
