Orderly Talk of building a Race Car descends into Chaos

- For Episode #138 of the Flatirons Syndicate Podcast, Jon, Tasso, and Viet sat down to talk about the state of both Tasso's new OTC Racing Rally Car build, and the Flatirons Tuning Pikes Peak car.
The conversation started out well, and some good points were made.... But then the conversation got a bit chaotic.
It is a good chat and we hope you enjoy it.
Thanks for listening and Stay Tuned!

#itsamarathon not a sprint. I relate to this podcast so much right now lol. I'll also be on the lookout for that embroidered pillow xD. As for ideas, I'll second suspension. Things like oversteer/understeer/neutral and how to achieve these, properly fixing suspension geometry when lowering a car (which you recently touched on a bit), etc.
Thanks for watching and thanks for the suggestion. Definitely like those.

#itsamarathon. Rallycross/Autocross, cams and maximizing your powerband. Your podcast always re-enforces my decision not to build a racecar, although I still have the same challenges building a restomod sports car, I'll just be able to get in it any time I want and enjoy it. I usually agree with Tasso, but I think it's quite the opposite. I love my GD, but there are a lot of times I wish it was a Honda, such as changing a simple valve cover gasket or being able to go and do a track day without worrying about blowing up your turbo motor. There's a reason I'm choosing Honda for my track day car.
Thanks for watching and thanks for the comment!

To be honest I disagree with myself most of the time anyways.

@@NemesisGnat In your defense, Honda killed my beloved CRX back in 91, only to replace it with a fat, ugly del sol, then insight, then years later, when we thought they might just resurrect it, they pooped out the CRZ....
@@Rynowhite14 as an owner of a classic Land Cruiser and a first gen Cummins, we might just have to start a support group for people who have been abandoned by their car companies in favor of “what the market research suggests will sell”.

I said I’d read the comments and here I am reading the comments like I said! 100% awesome ideas in here but Viet says that he will only be back on the podcast if you all message him directly and send him a picture of a duck. Ya it’s weird I don’t know but there ya go.

#itsamarathon coilovers upgrades (track use), aero ducting, weight reduction, I'm just throwing things out there.
It was a fun podcast.
Thanks for watching and thanks for the suggestions.

#itsamarathon. Misfires, all of the conventional causes/fixes and the weirdest uncommon causes of a misfire. One of the most common Subaru troubleshooting endeavors (whether caused by over/improperly modifying the car or just age/wear on parts). You've kind of covered briefly in HWYP episodes, but not a ton...also, if you create these pillows and sell them with an embroidered rally buffalo emblem, 10/10 would buy!!!
Thanks for watching and excellent suggestion!
Will have to do some research on the#itsamaraton pillow :-)
