      Here's a tip, slide a couple of steel rods or something strong enough through the mudgaurd holes to stop it spinning. it will stabilise everything while you impact the bolt out.

    Fork seal orientation seems to lead to conflicting advice online, on whether lip up or down?

    You do not apply grease to anything in the fork assembly. You'll just be gumming things up. Fork oil is the only lubricant that should be used in the fork.
