New ways to do the same old things. Moving the widgets from the right side to the left side of the screen is not innovation, it’s desperation. Let’s admit it folks, software has peaked.

Unbelievable that Apple left the System Settings in such a horrible state. Couldn’t they at least allowed it to be resized horizontally? Passwords should be turned into its own app, not a settings panel. None of the settings are in alphabetical order. They are just randomly listed in the sidebar. Why not group Appearance, Wallpaper, Screen Saver, Lock Screen and Desktop & Dock all under a main “Appearance” section? And the same with other things. Make a Network section, Peripherals, Users, etc. At least have some rhyme and reason to how things are placed in that list. It’s such an absolute mess.
The very best thing about Sonoma is how Airpods now instantly switch between iPhone and Mac. Before this, it would always seamlessly switch from the Mac to the iPhone, but trying to switch back would never work and you would need apps like AirBuddy to assist you in switching over to the Mac, even with the latest Airpods Pro with the H2 chip. I expected that when Apple transitioned to M1 and used the same chip architecture as the iPhone, that switch would be as seamless as between the iPhone and iPad, but that wasn't the case. Now it automatically switches instantly and I was able to uninstall AirBuddy as it's no longer needed. It seems you haven't mentioned this here but this is by far the biggest feature of Sonoma as it really limited the convenience of AirPods that the switch between Mac and iPhones was never seamless. This is a gamechanger for anyone who bought Airpods for the convenience of switching between Apple devices but was not getting that experience from Mac
Damn really? I'm surprised with how many Apple users usually die on that "everything is seamless" hill when they talk about why they use the products. Weirdly sounds like things are just now getting to be really seamless
Not mentioned anywhere, but Sonoma fixes the quality of the webcam on MacBook Pros and anything else that uses a 1080 FaceTime camera. Gives it the same quality the 15inch Air has.
Hello Arron, I thought I'd mention a bug I found in Sonoma. Received a word document that used the Gill Sans font. The document can be viewed correctly but it prints mostly 'empty boxes'. The Font Book shows that the font is validated. Tried printing to PDF but it is the same as the printed page. After trying a number of possible solution the only thing that worked for me was to use the web based MS Word which produced a correct PDF file. Thank you for all the good work.
