I was pregnant at 16 but had a miscarriage before I even told my family. I became pregnant again at 21 & my parents disowned me for 3 years. They didn’t meet him until he was 2. I didn’t have a baby shower or anything. You’re very lucky to have a supportive family.

I’m so sorry that happened. It’s awful to find out your parents love is conditional. I’m sure it would have taught you a great lesson to love your children regardless of what happens. Whether they become a teen parent, are gay, trans, have mental health issues etc, the most important thing you can do for them is to show the unconditional love and support. I’m sorry your parents didn’t understand this x

I was pregnant with my daughter at age 17.I felt so alone.I was raised in a foster home, but I really didnt know how my mom felt about me.When I had my daughter I immediately felt so much love and joy.I moved out on my owe when I was 18.Then i met my son dad we lived happily.But One day life was changed forever, he deid from suicide. I raised both my kids on my own.My son has autisim its been really hard.I never gave up from the grace of god he was always with me and guiding me to be the best mum.Im now 41 and can say I did it and im pretty amazing mum.Jennica you are amazing mum to Annica.keep shining and much love from 🇨🇦❤

My mom had me at age 18 and my dad was 17. My mom never went to college until I was about 5. My dad stayed in school AND had a job to make sure we had enough food and things for them to take care of me. My mom was adopted because her mom had her at 13, and my mom has met her mom once. I know your story is different and I am so happy for you, but I wanted to share my story because my mom is also very young. Her and my dad has 3 more kids, my 2 brothers and sister, then had a divorce. My mom was very depressed but she is now 32, remarried, and has 5 kids. My dad is now 31 and has a gf, and is also taking care of 4 kids. I am so proud of you and my mother.
🥰🥰 So many hugs and love to you 💋 I can speak from personal experience conceiving my first born anywhere from 1-3 days after I turned 18! It is not easy being a young mommy and even scarier with the person I had my (now 2 children with). Life and miracles do happen in mysterious ways! My boy is now 16 and my daughter is 13❣️❣️❣️ It has not been an easy road but having my son was truly the epitome of “Love at first sight!” (And the same feeling 2.4 years later when I had my daughter)❣️ The beauty of this and the best gift is learning what unconditional love is❣️
The daughter I got pregnant with at 17 is now a brilliant, strong, beautiful, socially conscious child. I raised her on my own, too. At 35, I can tell you it was not easy, and I certainly didn't have the added challenges you did with your son, and being alone in caring for his extra special needs. But I am a Canadian mama... and I just wanna give you a shout out too, because you deserve it. Teen momming is hard enough without the stigma. Sometimes, we just so happen to kick ass at it. Yes girl! My momma and daddy were PISSED. My momma knew I was pregnant at 14 because I was stupid and never asked for tampons or pads. I'll never forget, they were sitting at the kitchen table, dad was reading the paper, mom looked up at me and said "you're pregnant, aren't you?" and she and I just both burst into tears, and my dad looked up from his newspaper and said "we'll get through it." I have 3 kids now, and I'm 30. My dad had been diagnosed with bladder cancer when Maddy was 2, and my momma swears to this day that my kids were the reason my dad got out of bed every morning and until he took his last breath 5 years ago. They were already my biggest blessing, but knowing that really solidified it.

MTV should cancel Teen Mom and give you two a show. This is a far more realistic and accurate portrayal. You’re the same age as they are now. The difference is that you are actually a success story because of your own work and your families help. No one just handed you checks and said “okay, do your thing!”. I really admire you. As a mother and also just as a human being. Your story is inspiring and I appreciate that you shared it.
Yesss i was pregnant at 14 with my daughter when 16 and pregnant and teen mom was 1st aired and the mess and chaos, stress, etc was all something I couldn't relate to fast forward 2 years later..... I'm like🤨🤨🤨 its just got more and more unrelatable which I understand not the moms fault but it someways it glamorize it because they are telling the story of teen pregnancy from the teen... who is still immature and dosent even fully realize it yet. I'm 24 now and I cringe at how I was at that age and how much I just didn't grap how serious things were or even how the world worked. I appreciated jannicas story because it come from someone who was a teen mom now raising a teenager but mature enough to realize and reflect on her life in a mature and realistic perspective.

I got pregnant at 18 then I had my son at 19 now am 20 and my son is a year old I admit it is hard having a baby at a young age but not so bad because my son has made my life better with him then with out

You remind me so much of my childhood best friend’s mom, she was a young single mother who worked her butt off to provide. Not only did she raise her daughter right but she raised about 6 other girls who basically lived in her house on the weekends and viewed her as a second mom. Keep doing what you’re doing because you are an amazing mom and your daughter is lucky to have you ❤️❤️

When I was in fifth grade, I was in the delivery room when my older sister (who was already married and grown) was giving birth. I watched the whole thing and vowed to never have kids. It scared the hell out of me so anytime my ex boyfriends would talk about our “FuTuRe FoReVeR” and kids were mentioned, I was out 😂✌🏼. Now I’m 24 expecting my first baby who will make his appearance in October. I’m so glad I waited until I found someone who was as equally scared as I was yet we were ready to have a baby at the same time almost.

I remember what my mom said when she found out my brother's gf was pregnant when he was 17. She told my dad " we can be sad and disappointed but we will not yell or get mad because I don't want him to walk out and never see him or the baby again". i love seeing the perspective of a teen mom with a teenage daughter because ive seen alot of moms telling there story while still pregnant or with a very young child or them still being a teen so i love the different perspective.
Yessss i was a teen mom... 10 years ago... and you really only hear about it from moms that are still teens, so we get a bad reputation. People find out I was 14 and pregnant and think wow omg..... and don't know what to say and wanna judge and don't realize.. like yes I agree I was too young, I shouldn't of been having sex, that its irresponsible, and now that my daughter is 10 or even when a couple years ago... it hit me like woooooooow wtf was I thinking, at 14 you dont realize your a ACTUAL CHILD, cHiLd.... like what?!?!?!? Why was i even 🤦♀️

My sister had my nephew at 16 and she graduated high school and later became a nurse. Thank you for sharing your story 💜 also there is an organization called Embrace Grace that helps young, pregnant mothers and we hold a baby shower for them. Something to look into.

I had my daughter young too I was 17 gave birth at 18 my daughter is now about to be 14 and she’s going to be in high school it was definitely hard for me having her young not knowing anything but now she’s my best friend and I have a 3 year old baby boy
I found out I was pregnant on my 19th birthday. I had just recently gotten sober from meth. I’ve been sober 6 years and 7months. It was a really rocky time in my life. Shortly after, I found out I had thyroid cancer. We caught it early because of my pregnancy. Everything happens for a reason. God bless ya girl!

By best friend's mom is a single mom of 5, she had 3 kids before she was 20, and I could see every time I went over to her house that she was struggling. So, I decided to ask my friend, like hows your mom doing? is she ok? and so my friend said "oh she's always like that" so I said that's not a good thing. shes overstressed and she can't handle 5 kids on her own. Obviously, me being at their house didn't make her job any easier. So, I started babysitting for her. She didn't pay me at all. I only did it to help. So, I told her that she reminds me a lot like you, Jennica. SO she told me that she watches your videos for inspiration. She said that seeing how well you raise Annica makes her feel like she can do anything. While you only have one daughter she said her story really relates to yours. She said that your videos got her through her bad times. This was only 3 months ago that this happened. Now she has a boyfriend and is now raising 6 kids. I still try to help when I can. But I just wanted you to know, that you help people. I hope when I get older and have kids on my own, that I have your confidence:)

@@beyzaboz5477 That is true she did make mistakes when she was young and had kids she couldn't handle. But one of her kids were due to a rape, and the rest were unplanned. She wouldn't change anything about her life. She agrees having that many kids that early was a mistake but she loved every part of having kids. Also, she could take care of them perfectly fine. She bought them the latest shoes and technology, she made sure they were in a good school, but she was stressed trying to make their life better than hers.

I got pregnant at 18 and had my oldest daughter at 19. I can’t imagine how much harder it was for you being even younger, but I still relate a lot to the struggles you talk about, because I was anything but prepared (mentally, financially, any of it). I especially feel it when you say that you would tell your younger self everything is going to be alright and not feeling like you were strong, because I felt that same way. And now as I sit here at 32, I look back and I sometimes still can’t believe I actually did it all and made it through a stronger person.

I am a 46 year old mom of three, all three adults now. My oldest daughter got pregnant in high school at 16 so she was a little older but your videos have helped me understand things from her perspective. My grand daughter was born three years ago and in the last year my daughter and her child’s father got married. We just found out a few months ago we are having a grandson in January. My daughter is still in college with a second baby on the way but is doing well. Just takes a family or village to help with the babies but we are doing it. It’s great to see a story that turns out well. I’m sure there have been twists and turns in your life but you seem to have most things under control. I don’t personally know you but am glad I found your channel and am proud of you and your daughter. Oh my goodness I love your story!! I completely relate, Im currently 25 years old, I had my daughter at 14 just a few months before my 15th birthday and my son right after, before my 16th. My babies are currently 10 and 9 years old and I've NEVER in the past 11 years, ever heard a teen mom story that I could relate to quite like yours. Being able to grow with our children has definitely been an experience my husband and I wouldn't ever consider changing! Keep shining bright you beautiful ladies!!! You are so inspiring!!!

i’m glad you’re not a super strict parent cuz of your young pregnancy. you’re doing the right thing by leveling with your kid and teaching her honestly and fairly, she’ll trust herself to make good decisions and you’ll always be in the know
You and your daughter are amazing. Lots of teen mom's end up with their moms taking care of their child permanently. Your mama may have helped you but you decided to be independent it appears. You should definitely be proud of yourself.

I'm absolutely loving your content and your positive attitude. I'm 26 and childless but it's interesting to see someone elses experience. I really respect you supporting her dads privacy and not speaking negatively about him, regardless of age parents need to respect their child's other parent ... happy to watch your videos and "support" you I grew up with a single mum and totally understand what a difference a bit extra in the bank can get.

You are so passionate, obviously so caring towards Annica and you really really inspire me - I am now 17 and if I was in the same position as you, I have no idea how I would've been able to fit everything in and cope with it all.
