I really don't want to start a fight but this is just my opinion - If women can't have abortions, men shouldn't be able to leave women after getting them pregnant, because if a woman can't back out of a pregnancy, neither can a man.
If I was a man and I got a girl pregnant, I could never walk away and leave her to raise the child. I mean going the rest of your life knowing that you have a child and the mother is struggling, is heart breaking.
I would have been so good if the dad said "You will always be my little girl." And if her bf came back with a decent hair cut and clothes and supported her. 😭😭😭❤️
@@Jojo-nd8dh oh my god i made that reply a year ago lol, but you're right, i just haven't found really good friends yet. i guess i was just in a really dark place when i made that reply.
i had my son at 17. my boyfriend didn't call me for 6 weeks. he finally got the courage to talk to my parents. we are now married 11 years and have 3 loud loving sons.
I got pregnant right after turning 17. My boyfriend and I had been best friends since 8th grade and just got together a few months before me getting pregnant. I knew I was pregnant I just had this weird instinct. I layed out of school and went to the doctor. Sure enough I was pregnant. I was nervous to tell him. That same day I called him and told him. All I heard were cries of happiness. The only day I seen him happier was when our daughter was born 5 days before my 18th birthday. My father was upset for about 5 mins and realized this was happening either way. He was so happy to actually have a grandchild that he could see and that didn't live hundreds of miles away. We're still together today 7 years going strong. And I couldn't ask for a better husband or father. I got really lucky with him!!
It really opens my eyes to see a man or "boy" that wants no part in raising their child. It's really pathetic and shows me and other women that there are still some good men out there. The main thing is use protection but if by chance you do get pregnant it's not the end of your life. I love hearing story's of teens who got pregnant and thought their life was over but took control and are living their life. Baby's may change plans but there is a plan for everyone of us.
+Kayleigh Myers I like your story lol and congrats but im a little confused you said you got pregnant after your 17th birthday and had your baby 5 days before your 18th birthday but your only pregnant for 9 months that would be like saying you were pregnant for a year
@@pauljordan4452 maybe you have never been a parent..........I have a 27 year old Daughter........she will always be my little girl, perhaps one day you will understand
i’ve done this for my friend before and the part where they’re standing and waiting for the test was honestly the most stressful moment of my life and I couldn’t imagine how my friend was feeling♥️ it’s so important to have someone there bc at least she knew she wasn’t alone no matter what
And then it's me. An adult, never ever kissed or touched by a guy. Staying in bed all day, wearing pajamas, watching cartoons and drinking fruit juice. Yep, definitely not normal...
Just A Flame In The Fire omfg can you stfu?! I’m the exact same! It’s called being a nerd asshole. It’s not quirky, it’s being normal and having a neutral life. Nerdiness is one of the best qualities that any girl or guy can have. I hope you feel like you’re life is going perfectly bc if so... damn you’re life is boring😂😂😂
Everything happens so fast like one minute you're climbing trees with you're best friend and then you're waiting in the bathroom for a line on a stick that will change everything
"I should've seen it. I knew better. I've been taught better." This hits me real hard🤦🏻♀️ I've been through the same situation. I got pregnant when I was 18. It was so unbelievable. I never expected any of those would happen to me. My family had high hopes from me since I get good grades but with just a blink of an eye, one mistake, it all disappeared. Everyone in my family was very diasappointed including me, specially when the guy didn't stood up for me and my baby. Depression hit me and did horrible things. Luckily, all of those didn't let me die. Despite all the judgements and gossips, I pursued my studies and graduated SHS with honors. I am now 20yrs old, 1st yr college and a single mom with a 1yr 8mos. baby boy. I don't promote teenage pregnancy, I'm just sharing my story to express my thoughts regarding this short film. That mistake will never define who I am. It will be the greatest lesson and biggest motivation for me and my baby to reach our ambitions despite our situation.
She is lucky to have a mother like her! She - I'm pregnant! Her mother - Hug's and support her! Me - I'm pregnant My mother - Get out of my house your no more my daughter! Notice - I was never pregnant! They are lucky to have parents like them! I'm mean my parents would kill me if I say that!
I also got pregnant when I was 15 but my boyfriend supported me instead of leaving me on the way and we both got married because he wanted to raise our kid together. Now my twins kids are 3 years old. And we are happily living
If I ever have a kid who becomes pregnant as a teen, I wouldn't yell at them or anything like that. I'd just give them a hug and tell them it would be okay.
Same. But at the same I would worry for them. Pain of losing a child is heartbreaking and at that what if you lost them to their child. I just hope they would know no matter what they are my child.
HA! If you were a parent you couldn’t help BUT yell at them. It’s their nature to punish a child when they do something wrong. If I was parent I would be furious! And I probably would yell at them at first. But then I would talk it through with them.
I hate how men think that it's the woman's fault for getting pregnant meanwhile he's the one that supplies half of the genes. It takes two to get pregnant.
Lyall wiccanAcesN-B that’s what I am being a dad raised my step son since he was 11 months the real father was never in his life. She dealt with her pregnancy for 9 months I took over a 11 months later!
I love how her mom didn’t yell or anything, she was being so supportive and caring and just gave her a hug. I would honestly do the same. *Sadly, my mother and father would yell at me until I go deaf, then throw me on the streets and tell me they don’t ever want to see my face again.*
Veli N. Right my friends would be out of there and i even think my friend is pregnant and shes a teen and i will always be there for her no matter what happens
I'll own both of you if it happens to you. free mom hugs all around . It is not your fault. You are amazing and beautiful and strong and im blessed and honored to know you
The sad thing about teen pregnancy is that most of the time the boyfriend just leaves as soon as hears “pregnant”, in this story he didn’t leave her but in a lot of cases they do leave.
My boyfriend was going to leave. Was just going to pay child support. I miscarried when i was helping him move. In his dads pick up truck. I still will never tell his parents or mine.
I had to take a pregnancy test this past weekend cause my period had been late. during the whole process of me buying the test and taking it, he was there with me and promised to stay with me no matter what would have happened. luckily it was negative but it was the most stressful experience I have experience
Haha me imagining my period telling me in not pregnant - Aunt flow : heyyy girl, just stopping by to let you know there are no current intruders, and I think I’ll stay for the week. You cool with that? Thanks. Oh, and I’ll need some chocolate 🤓🍫
I think it's so hard for people to understand why people would get an abortion. Like, there's some people who say "if she was raped..." Or "If she was going to die bc of it..." But what people don't understand is that pregnancies are taxing, mentally, physically, and emotionally. Ask any woman who has been pregnant and they'll probably tell you that. Pregnancies aren't easy, at all. They're also extremely expensive. Between cravings, hot/cold flashes, new clothing sizes, and the many hospital bills and bills from pregnancy/care centers, these numbers add up pretty quickly. And there are many women out there who just aren't capable of going through with a pregnancy, whether it's financially, or bodily. And they shouldn't be made to feel less-than because of it. It doesn't make them lazy, nor does it make them a bad person. On the contrary, it shows that they're smart enough to know how much they can handle, and they know that this isn't their time to have a child.
+Ally Greyson Yes! People assume that the person who gets an abortion is just lazy or whatever, but they're looking out for themselves and their wellbeing, which should be respected. Like, even if they were to give the child up for adoption, there's so many things they would have to deal with that they, especially if they're a teenager, may not be able to handle.
Pregnancy is hard take it from me I am pregnant right now lol. But since when did something being hard mean it should stop you from doing it. That's just selfish to abort a baby because it will be a hard thing to have. I can understand if you were raped or the baby will be unhealthy or it may kill the mother to give birth, but it being "hard" is not a valid reason. I don't care who you are that's just wrong. I have severe anxiety and depression and I'm still doing it. I'm sucking it up and sacrificing certain things so another person will be happy and healthy down the road. That's bullshit to think it being hard is a worthy excuse.
+L If you can't financially afford it, how can you afford to care for the baby? To bring a child to this word and not be able to have enough money to support him/her? Really?
+L it's hard on anyone. A lot of people aren't equipped to handle both the financial burden of carrying a child, as well as the mental and emotional toll it can have on the pregnant person. It's good that they are understanding their situation and taking note of their health. I congratulate you on your child, but it was your choice to take that burden, your choice to continue to care for the child. However someone chooses to care for themselves, as well as their possible child, should be respected. It's not bullshit to know what you are and aren't capable of handling.
They should have been more careful if they didn't want to deal with it lol. Irresponsible decisions lead to tough consequences. Running away from that is not the right choice. The only excuse is if they are severely mentally unstable. No one is that incapable of it otherwise. Financially having a baby isn't that hard regardless. Lots of government assistance out there for women with babies. Not saying it being hard isn't a reason, just saying it isn't a good one.
It's easy to judge other people , you never know how you'll react when you don't have time to process something that made you upset ... imagine all the hopes and dreams he's had for her , he knows how hard it is to have a child and how much pain it is going to bring her ... Some people can't stay calm in caos it doesn't mean that he doesn't love her
I got pregnant at 17 with my boyfriend of 3 years. My parents were newly divorced and not being good parents, selfishly doing their own things but I was still scared as hell to tell them. When I told my boyfriend he told me to get rid of it or he would never have anything to do with me or the baby. Because of my parent's divorce I was now living in a small apartment and my room only had a mattress on the floor so I knew bringing a baby into my world was so selfish. I found an adoption agency by myself, chose a family by myself, went to OBGYN appointments by myself or with the wife of the family I chose to adopt my baby. Since my boyfriend had checked out of the situation he never offered to tell my parents with me and I was too scared to do it I hid the pregnancy from them the entire time while managing a tanning salon & working a second job for a brief period of time. When I was getting ready for work one morning my water broke. My boyfriend was there so he knew but I went into work for a bit and had the woman who was about to become the Mother of my child pick me up and we went to the hospital to have the baby. I told my Dad (who I lived with, my Mom was with her new man somewhere) that I was spending the night with a friend since I was obviously going to be at the hospital overnight and he never found out until years later. Actually I was able to hide my pregnancy the whole time from everyone besides my boyfriend and the adoption agency/family which was very lonely. My boyfriend never even came to the hospital and after I had a little girl whom was handed over to her new parents, the hospital wheeled me into a room where I was all alone. The rooms around me all had balloons and congratulations banners on the doors. After the baby my boyfriend wanted me back so badly but my heart still runs ice cold for him to this day. My daughter however is now 22 and comes to spend weekends with my husband and our son, her brother all of the time and takes family vacations with us. Moral of my story: if you are going to have sex young, use protection! The pain and struggles from those decisions are more than you can imagine.
Exactly. You need to evaluate what will be best for both you and your baby. The ethical decision. Just use good reasoning skills I guess. Just be careful. Abstinence isn't a bad way to go, neither us protection.
I hate abortions!! Im against you keep the baby! The baby didn’t ask to be put in this world I’m going through with my girls baby daddy raised his son since he was 11 months now he is 7. Never been in the child’s life now he wants to come around!! Nope get to steppin! Im all this child knows I be damn he takes my son! He called me dad from day one!
+Cute Potato ooohh i get it now I thought you meant like since your on your period that means you can't get pregnant but i get what you guys were saying now.
That was a fairly normal reaction. It must have felt like he'd been slammed in the gut. Like any good father, he felt protective of his daughter. He wanted only the best for her. That scholarship would have helped, as hard as he must have worked to pay for college for her and her brother. She was active in ballet and the church, on the honor roll, and had been taught to focus on her education and wait to have sex. The dad came around in time. Because he IS a good dad, and loves her.
So, how old are you? Have you been passed the 2nd grade yet? "The dad should of"!!!!!???? I believe you meant to say "The dad SHOULD HAVE" or "The dad SHOULD'VE". Go back to school, and this time, PAY ATTENTION!
i hate how everybody always thinks it’s just the girls fault but never says anything about the guy who got them pregnant. like how do parents just not care if their son got a girl pregnant
Justine Stylinson I know. Like men should get punished by their parents if they get a girl pregnant if they are under 16 or really any teenage age. If my son got a girl pregnant I would take away his tv,video games, phone, computer, and really any other devices. On the other hand if my daughter got pregnant i would hug her and say it’s okay. I’m not mad. Tell me what happened and who did this to you. I’ll make you some tea. Men are like the whole entire reasons girls get pregnant. It’s not the ladies’ fault if they get pregnant. Normally it’s on purpose. I don’t get how a man could get a girl pregnant on accident unless they are drunk or they rape the lady. A girl would get pregnant by rape or if the lady got drunk. Or you know, sex. Also if you pregnant go to your mother first or any Eason you really trust and you know has your back and won’t let you down or hurt you in any way.
+emichelle19 well no duh I know the bald guy is the girls dad and the curly haired guy is the baby's father, but he looks like he's fourth and she's like 17
the support the best friend gave to her makes my heart feel so big. Knowing that someone was there for her from the beginning, makes me jealous, because I never had something like that in my life.
Z P I’m sorry for your loss I lost my best friend to cancer in 2009! He was 22 I was 23 at the time he would have been 34 this year! Wow I’ll be 34 next month time fly’s! Rip James! My brother forever!
I hate how her boyfriend just walked out on her like that. What if men were the ones that got pregnant at 16? They would have to deal with the pregnancy and becoming a teen Dad. It's terrible...
sky if i got pregnant around her age my mum would go mental my mum would scream and scream but then after time apart she would calm down and maybe let me make my iwn decision
Here is a more serious comment: My mom had me at 19 so if my teenage daughter came to me and told me she was pregnant, I would help her as much as I can, cuz people do make mistakes, and of this where to ever happen to anyone you should give them all the support they need. Cuz once they tell you they will need you more then ever
If i was that mom i would've screamed "YOU HAD SEX WITH A BOY WEARING FLANNEL, A HAT, AND SOME FAMILY DOLLAR FLIP FLOPS!!!! edit: its been i was 11 when i wrote this and it still makes me laugh lol
so cami J I would've been pisses like wtf he looks like those fat hairy curly dogs that's turned into a human and lived in 2007, found a time machine and went to 2017
The moment she said I can't have an abortion after listening to baby's heartbeat I literally cried.. I remembered my twins daughters heartbeat first time in ultrasound & can't forget the happiness & excitement
Exactly so I don’t get why all the teen boys get so mad when they find out their girl is pregnant it’s like if you didn’t want them to get pregnant then don’t have sex in the first place it’s not just their fault it’s yours too idiot
Abortion was meant for people who KNOW they’re kids aren’t gonna have a good and healthy life, now it’s being used for people no matter what, it’s disgusting
I just found out I was pregnant two days ago, and I am 21. My bf is 23. I've always had problems with his family, and I'm scared to tell them. My mom is coming down to our apartment to see us for thanksgiving and we are going to surprise her then. Then, I will plan on telling everyone else. I'm scared, but I'm also so happy. Everything recently has fallen right into place, I feel like this was meant to happen. I don't wanna regret anything or anything like that bc I can't turn the clock back now. I think the thing I fear the most is that he could potentially leave me bc we are not married yet. I'm also afraid of what MY dad will say.
My daughter is a teenager and pregnant. Almost five months. With a girl. I'm not mad, I'm not embarrassed, I'm not ashamed. I'm happy, proud, supportive, I go to all her appts, She works, goes to school and still tours colleges. We are ready for her already. We have everything she needs for the first year. I'm proud of my daughter. She will be an awesome, loving mom. I love my daughter no matter what. I was also a teen Mom. Same age as her.
Talitha Smith awww that’s awesome! My daughter is almost 14 but still doesn’t like boys but if things change and she ends up pregnant I’ll be supportive of her too! You’ll be an awesome grandma! ❤️
My cousin got pregnant when she was nineteen, and her baby daddy was really abusive, but her mom (my auntie) was also a teen mom and helped my cousin through it all, it's better to be a single parent than be with somebody who doesn't want to do it
while they shouldn't make you feel horrible and hate yourself , they have a right to discipline you. teenagers shouldn't be having sex in the first place.
Why_So_Sad Love yall are missing the point, whats done is done, there is no going back to the past, all you can do is own up to the consequences, move on and keep going foward, even if you have a baby, at this point theirs no “teens shouldn’t have sex in the first place” “why do it?” The teen is pregnant, and all she can do is carry her offspring and get as much support as she can, bc their will be a whole lot of shaming, doubt, questioning, everyone will look at her as a “__insult here__”
To be honest, in the end I do think the parents should support the child and the grandchild but I believe it’s understandable for them at first to be worried and a bit angry because they may feel slightly betrayed especially of the parents have no idea the child even had a bf/gf
i personally feel like a parent should comfort their child instead of lashing out on them, i mean they already feel like their world is ending, why make it worse??
mac the snack :/ to be fair, both parties are in distress. Your parents were your mentors, your guides through life and to see you make a silly decision when you could've easily avoided it will completely crash and burn your and your parents life. He must've witnessed this young girl throw her life away (in his opinion) and clearly became worried and, a first reaction would naturally be fear or anger :)
Mrs Irrelevant The thing about parenting is that sometimes you have to quell your gut reactions in favor of taking a more reasonable approach -- or if you can't do that, you admit your gut reactions, explain them, and THEN take the more reasonable approach. People aren't perfect, but when people are parents, it's their job to view everything they say and do through the eyes of their child and modify their behavior accordingly. That's how you build trust. Expressing your gut reactions with abandon? Breaks that trust. rayne hutchinson It's not wrong. Teens have sex, have had sex since the beginning of time, and will always have sex. What's wrong is that we don't adequately equip them to do so safely.
mac the snack :/ right I mean at least in some cases such as my mother and stepmother. My mother was 20 when she found out she was going to have my brother (a week after her birthday) my grandfather being Arabic wanted to fucking kill her while my grandmother knew it was coming and didn’t give a shit (lol). On the other hand my stepmother was 19 and then ended up having two other children, now she has two grandchildren the sad part is she’s a year younger than my mother.
I am a 37 year old mother of 4 sons. I saw this video and it brought tears to my eyes. I got pregnant for my first son at 15 years old, growing up in a broken family. 2 weeks after finding out I was pregnant our mother left us. I felt like I was completely on my own with the responsibility of taking care of my brother and trying to help my father cope. So many people told me to get an abortion, even my closest friends. The thought of abortion was never a question in my mind. I thanked God for what I had learned as a child in youth group. I went to school full time and worked full time while pregnant. I can still remember all of the weird stares I would get as I walked through the hallways of my school, but I held my head high and kept going. I delivered my son at 16, took 6 weeks of maternity leave and then went back to school while breastfeeding. It was hard, but I graduated on time and that has been one of my greatest accomplishments in life. I did it for my baby. It gave me the opportunity to speak to other young girls who found themselves in the same situation. Years later, one of those girls saw me shopping and told me that because of what I did she decided to keep her child and thanked me while crying tears of joy. My son is almost 21 now and is still one of the biggest blessings of my life. I am married to his father and we since have had 3 more sons. For anyone out there that may be going through this, I just want to tell you that you can do it no matter what anyone else thinks or says. You are so much stronger than you know! And you are definitely not alone! God sees you and he will never leave your side. I know he never left mine ❤️
I'm terrified for my bestie she got pregnant and her parents already hate her and she's 14. Rn she's at my house crying and I got four hours until school starts but I'd rather keep her safe instead of myself. She told my parents and my parents told her she's always welcomed and to calm down. Just a long road ahead that's all
Whyd u share that? Its not ur place to say something like that. Yes, its related to the video but that's not OK to share that. Now thousands of people know.
the way her parents reacted to her getting pregnant is the way my parents react to when I leave empty water bottles in my room. Funny to picture what would have ended up happening if that happened to me O_o
can people in the comments stop comparing themselves as “teens” to this? this is a serious topic and i’m getting sick of the “i’m not like other girls” trend. not doing drugs, not drinking alcohol doesn’t mean you’re any better of a person than the people that do, it’s an escape for most. stop comparing yourselves to people that do these things because all it does is make people feel bad for their own choices that YOU didn’t make or for who they are. it isn’t your life so stop commenting on others. also, feel free to vent in the replies🖤 i’ll respond to all. i know what it’s like to be struggling a lot mentally... and to be dealing with mental health issues. i want the people that are struggling to know i’m here for you and you aren’t alone.
hey @butter cxp what you have written is so true!! and i hope you are doing okay, dealing with mental health issues can be really tiring sometimes umm just from my experience
I know a lot will judge, I'm 18 and I just had a baby, but I felt the exact same way when I fell pregnant. I was 5 weeks pregnant when I found out, I had an ultrasound a week later and I saw his heart beating. I couldn't stop it. I didn't care that it was just an embryo, it's still my child and I already felt it was my responsibility to raise him. I'm glad I went through with it. It's very hard, but I don't regret a thing. I love my little boy with all my heart and I will raise him like any other mother. Age doesn't matter, yes it's advised to wait until you're older and much more stable and mature, but honestly it doesn't matter the age. You can be a wonderful mother no matter what age you are. Older women can be horrible and not ready for kids. For some it's not meant to be, for some it's the best thing that's ever happened to them. I don't care what people want to think or say, everyone is entitled to an opinion. But you have to think about how she feels, what's going through her mind and the challenges she's facing. It's terrifying but it's worth it in the end.
I'm grateful for your comment here. Im 18 and have faced the same problem. When I found out that I was already five months pregnant I couldn't even believe myself that I was. I missed my periods and went to the clinic with my mom for my checkup and there we found out that I was pregnant. I was really scared Nd had lots going on in my mind...but my parents and my aunts supported me throughout my pregnancy... I never thought that my dad will support me, but by gods grace everything went on well.. To all the people facing this problems I just wanna share you all that no matter what do not give up your dreams, we all learn from mistakes..and there is always a second chance. And to be very honest my pregnancy was the best thing that ever happened to me... Stay strong 💪.. Everything happens for a purpose.. Believe in yourself and strive for the 👍💯
If your a girl reading this I just wanna tell you, you are beautiful, strong, and absolutely unique in every way love yourself and focus on school don't fall for the pressure 🥺🥺 because "if you lay down with a dog you wake up with fleas " Don't do anything until your ready and remember boys aren't going anywhere
This was me when I was 17. I was a full time dancer training to be a dance teacher and working a full time job in a care home and studying at college. I had my whole life ahead of me and then I found out I was pregnant with my long term boyfriends baby. We had been dating for over 2 years and we moved intogether after high school. It was just after my 17th birthday I found out I was pregnant in April 2014. Myself and my boyfriend called it off as it just wasn’t working out a month later I found out I was pregnant. I was at work in the staff bathroom. I had to dry my tears and carry on with my work like everything was okay and I did. I got home at 12 o’clock at night and told my gran parents straight away. They shouted for while then they just ignored me. Didn’t hug me , didn’t comfort me. Everytime I tried to speak they ignored me and they couldn’t look at me. I called in sick to work the next day and my grandparents kicked me out. I packed my things I left. I went to stay with my mum who abandoned me when I was 3 for a bit but only lasted a couple of weeks. Until she hit me and beat me up. My mum was a violent person who abused me and my sisters she was also pregnant with me when she was 17 I thought she could help. I called my dad who abandoned my mum when she was pregnant and was put in prison when I got taken off her but he said there was no room for me at his it was too much for him. So I was homeless and pregnant 17 and alone. My boyfriend wanted nothing to do with me or the baby. I tried to end my life I tried to end my pregnancy at first but it didn’t work. I am happy it didn’t work now. After a few weeks I got a place a hostel and I quit my job. I am epileptic and I was having around 12 sezuires a day lasting 30 mins or more at a time. I had to see people slit there risers and drugs and alcoholics in the hostel I seen people fight and break things. Abortion I never believed in but I did consider it at first. But then I had my first scan and I couldn’t do it. So I had my baby a couple of weeks after I had my baby the dad asks for a DNA test. stupid as he new he was the dad. The DNA test comes back his no shocker there. My gran did come back into my life tho before I had my baby and we acted like normal for a while I had to hide my pregnant belly from her till she could accept it. About 2 months till I had my little girl my gran finally talked about me being pregnant and supported me from there. She was the only one I had at the hospital with me. I was in labour for 4 and half days they almost lost me I stopped breathing next thing I no I’m paralysed by an epidural and I’m being told I’ll need a C section. I’m terrified. I don’t get to see my baby for over an hour after she is born. I finally get to see her and hold her and it’s the best feeling in the world. I’ll never be alone again. After she turned 6 months, I asked her dad if he had told his mum as he wasn’t seeing her or me and didn’t want to. He said no he hadn’t. So I told him I’d give him till her first birthday to tell his Mum or I would. After my taughter turned one he told me he still hadn’t told his mum. So that was almost 2 years since I was pregnant and had a baby that he hadn’t told his mum I wasn’t pregnant and I had a baby. So I told his mum. It was the hardest thing at the time that I felt like I ever had to do. Not only did I have to tell my parents I had to tell his mum too that wasn’t fair. She called me a lot of names shouted at me Said I ruined his life then demanded another DNA test to be done. 2 DNA tests later still came back his and I never heard from her again and I got a letter through the post saying he didn’t want to be involved with my baby till he had finsihed university. 3 years later now, he has graduated and he is still not involved and is refusing to be finatually supportive towards his daughter. I’m 21 now never been stronger. My little girl is 3 and my world. Best decision I have ever made having her. I hit a lot of bumpy roads through my pregnancy but I wouldn’t change it I wouldn’t go back. This short film was very good I just wish my parents were as helpful as this family. I self harmed a lot when I found out I was pregnant and throughout high school I was bad for it but I’m a stronger person than I was then and it’s because of my little girl.
lauren glennie sorry you had to go through that alone, you went through so much, your story is inspiring, I too am a mom I had my son at an older age I got pregnant with my son when I was about to turn 26 and he is the best thing that's ever happened to me
this is stupid. Abortion and adoption and parenting are all choices that a woman should be able to use. STOP telling girls its not okay to be in control of their bodies -_- this is so aggravating!
I was about to disagree with you, but then I realized that the only things they showed on abortion was how "dangerous" it is. And the language on "getting rid of it" and "making it go away" as if abortion is a cop-out for women who can't face the consequences of their decision. As if women who have abortions aren't making the right choice for themselves! So, yea, this video has an obvious bias against abortion and I think it is ill-informed as well! Women have the right to make INFORMED decisions that suit them, their bodies, and their life best. I surprised myself by how easily I believed this video was actually informed. It presents itself in a way that makes it seem this girl made a choice, when by removing the decision making process of all the different options that could have been presented to her, the video is obviously skewed. SMH
Mackie Williams abortion should never be a choice, it's killing a unaware living being,it's like murdering, i have a classmate and she's was pregnant and guess what? she asked the teacher if she can get maternity leave, the teacher understands her, after months she went back to school and catch up, so what you got pregnant?! it's not like you can't go to school forever, all i know is if im the stupid one who got pregnant, the child will be my responsibility.
Whether or not an abortion is murder is debateable because it really is all about personal opinion and perspective. It lies in an extremely gray area, along with taking adults in a coma off life support or other such examples. I personally have not decided whether or not I think abortion is a murder, but that does not change my understanding that this opinion will differ from person to person and that will affect whether they will participate in abortions. My problem doesn't lie with that opinion, but with you insinuating having a child is a responsibility and not a privilege. Your classmate was blessed enough to be able to be a mom and a student. I'm sure it couldn't have been possible without extensive familial and economic support. However, what about women without a support system? If you're going to use one example and use it to generalize different women's experience with unplanned pregnancies, I can bring up examples of women who do not have the financial support for themselves, let alone a child, women who do not have the people around them to help them take care of a child while they continue pursuing their educational or career goals, etc. etc. If you can afford and are able to care for a child you choose to keep, great. However, you can't restrict other people from making their decisions based on their circumstances no one can ever completely understand. What does the right to abortion restrict? It doesn't ask that all women who are unable to support children abort their babies. It gives the opportunity for different individuals dealing with different things in their different lives the ability to make the different choices for their own different sense of well-being. Why should people who can afford to have children or want to carry an unplanned pregnancy to term be the only ones afforded that right to act upon what is, at the end of the day, a matter of personal belief and opinion? What gives you the right to restrict this freedom of their's, especially if it does not and will not affect your own personal well being?
ShoMeSho well, that is very long statement, however, what i have commented is not directed to you, i wasn't making any restriction here, it is simply a personal belief,im not forcing my belief into any one. im just here to tell someone that ,that abortion is like killing, why did i chose my classmate as an example? because she have the worst situation than the girl on the video or maybe any other girl, 1. she's broke 2. her parents doesn't support her 3. she's 2nd year college 4. her boyfriend left her 5. she's battling depression anyway,im not here to make some argument to anyone,i will consider your opinion but you should consider mine too.
Thats completely fine that its your preseason belief. So if you and your significant other get pregnant, keep the baby. Be loving parents. DONT however tell me what I can do with my body. Especially girls that young like in the movie. They aren't stupid. SO many teens get pregnant everyday. In my opinion i fell that it is irresponsible to bring a child into the world KNOWING that you cannot care for it
i thought MOST of the comments would be the completely unhelpful or judgemental ones sayin "keep your legs closed then" and im glad thats not all im seeing.
Silent Whisper because it is... Since when is killing a baby ok?? Because it's convenient for the mother? That's selfish. They saying that killing a baby is against the human rights for women, but taking away that baby's life and stopping that heart beat isn't?? Your taking away that basic human right of the baby to simply live, because of personal convenience. Honestly, when u have sex, no matter how many birth control pills or condoms, you can potentially become pregnant. Why do u think this girl in the video did not have an abortion even though she was at first priority choice? It's because she new that having an abortion was not the option! Even though she was a teenager with a scholarship to a university.
Izzy M This is just a question but what’s your opinion on people who were raped and became pregnant or if it was some type of sexual abuse? What would be your stand on abortion on a situation like that?
I don't know how anybody can be so calm, quiet with such big problem.Honestly her friend was too honest she cried in her tears .she smiled in her happiness.
It made me cry so hard cause I get pregnant 3 months ago and my family wanted me to have an abortion, I'm feeling again all that pain I had when I imagined killing my baby it was very very heartbreaking I cried every night. I didn't abort, I couldn't, I'm 21 yo and 11 weeks pregnant, I already love my baby more than everything on this planet and I will never let someone hurt him, I love him so much
I really don't want to start a fight but this is just my opinion - If women can't have abortions, men shouldn't be able to leave women after getting them pregnant, because if a woman can't back out of a pregnancy, neither can a man.
You are completely right!

Aww😊❤that's great so glad for you
I got pregnant right after turning 17.

This is a emotional story 😢 😪
@@tandzilemalambe8776 The moment she said that she couldn’t go through with the abortion, it was very emotional indeed.
Screaming at your child is an immature way to deal with the situation.
I agree it honestly made me cry and I’m 22 years old 😭

It's easy to judge other people , you never know how you'll react when you don't have time to process something that made you upset ... imagine all the hopes and dreams he's had for her , he knows how hard it is to have a child and how much pain it is going to bring her ... Some people can't stay calm in caos it doesn't mean that he doesn't love her

My exact thought!
Really pissed me off when the boy was texting her and said are you going to get rid of *it*
Exactly!

The dad should of never yelled. The first thing that should of been said is, “thank you for telling me.”

Also if you pregnant go to your mother first or any
Eason you really trust and you know has your back and won’t let you down or hurt you in any way.
❤️Torrie_Wernsman💙 that's so dumb it's both the guy and girl fault for having sex when they're not ready
Why does the girl look 17 and the guy looks like 43
I don't know what guy you're looking at but the boy with the curly brown hair was the father of the baby. The bald guy was her father.
+emichelle19 well no duh I know the bald guy is the girls dad and the curly haired guy is the baby's father, but he looks like he's fourth and she's like 17
Amiyah Williams Well idk what 40 year olds look like in your area, sooo yeah.

Can't you guys spell "pregnant"??
Here is a more serious comment:
My mom had me at 19 so if my teenage daughter came to me and told me she was pregnant, I would help her as much as I can, cuz people do make mistakes, and of this where to ever happen to anyone you should give them all the support they need. Cuz once they tell you they will need you more then ever
My mom had me at 19 also and I would do the same thing. Parents should be there to support their kids in bad and good times
If i was that mom i would've screamed "YOU HAD SEX WITH A BOY WEARING FLANNEL, A HAT, AND SOME FAMILY DOLLAR FLIP FLOPS!!!!

My cousin got pregnant when she was nineteen, and her baby daddy was really abusive, but her mom (my auntie) was also a teen mom and helped my cousin through it all, it's better to be a single parent than be with somebody who doesn't want to do it
Wow. So much for breaking the cycle
It's better than being raised in an abusive household.
Then when you tell your parents your having a baby They make you feel worst then you are already feeling..
while they shouldn't make you feel horrible and hate yourself , they have a right to discipline you. teenagers shouldn't be having sex in the first place.
rybug2 what were you pregnant or something?
Ky your right but I guess sometimes people make mistakes

i personally feel like a parent should comfort their child instead of lashing out on them, i mean they already feel like their world is ending, why make it worse??
mac the snack :/ to be fair, both parties are in distress.
On the other hand my stepmother was 19 and then ended up having two other children, now she has two grandchildren the sad part is she’s a year younger than my mother.
mac the snack :/ my youngest brother has a child he’s 22 it’s a sad family, but her father (my stepmother) he father was mad even at my brother

Just a long road ahead that's all

can people in the comments stop comparing themselves as “teens” to this? this is a serious topic and i’m getting sick of the “i’m not like other girls” trend. not doing drugs, not drinking alcohol doesn’t mean you’re any better of a person than the people that do, it’s an escape for most. stop comparing yourselves to people that do these things because all it does is make people feel bad for their own choices that YOU didn’t make or for who they are. it isn’t your life so stop commenting on others. also, feel free to vent in the replies🖤 i’ll respond to all. i know what it’s like to be struggling a lot mentally... and to be dealing with mental health issues. i want the people that are struggling to know i’m here for you and you aren’t alone.

That's awesome!!! It's nothing to judge about.. only people who with weird beliefs would.. love ya and the kiddo 😘❣️
I bet your a perfect mum
I'm grateful for your comment here. Im 18 and have faced the same problem. When I found out that I was already five months pregnant I couldn't even believe myself that I was. Yeah!!!

SMH
Mackie Williams abortion should never be a choice, it's killing a unaware living being,it's like murdering,
i have a classmate and she's was pregnant and guess what? she asked the teacher if she can get maternity leave, the teacher understands her, after months she went back to school and catch up,
so what you got pregnant?! it's not like you can't go to school forever,
all i know is if im the stupid one who got pregnant, the child will be my responsibility.
ShoMeSho well, that is very long statement, however, what i have commented is not directed to you, i wasn't making any restriction here, it is simply a personal belief,im not forcing my belief into any one.
im just here to tell someone that ,that abortion is like killing,
why did i chose my classmate as an example? because she have the worst situation than the girl on the video or maybe any other girl,
1. she's broke
2. her parents doesn't support her
3. she's 2nd year college
4. her boyfriend left her
5. she's battling depression
anyway,im not here to make some argument to anyone,i will consider your opinion but you should consider mine too.
Thats completely fine that its your preseason belief. So if you and your significant other get pregnant, keep the baby. Be loving parents. DONT however tell me what I can do with my body. Especially girls that young like in the movie. They aren't stupid. SO many teens get pregnant everyday. In my opinion i fell that it is irresponsible to bring a child into the world KNOWING that you cannot care for it
One of my best friends is a teen Mom and I was the best friend in that situation. I supported her and she is my everything. I would never leave her

That pissed me of cuz he called the baby an it
i thought MOST of the comments would be the completely unhelpful or judgemental ones sayin "keep your legs closed then" and im glad thats not all im seeing.
no what you're seeing is "ohhh yes keep the baby, be a teen mom, its a great idea. abortion is eviiiiilll"
Emily & William your right bc these days ppl all they do is judge but when it comes to them that's when there completely different
Emily & William the problem is not the baby. The fact she had sex and like she is so little for that!!!

Me
I don't know how anybody can be so calm, quiet with such big problem.Honestly her friend was too honest she cried in her tears .she smiled in her happiness.
It made me cry so hard cause I get pregnant 3 months ago and my family wanted me to have an abortion, I'm feeling again all that pain I had when I imagined killing my baby it was very very heartbreaking I cried every night. I didn't abort, I couldn't, I'm 21 yo and 11 weeks pregnant, I already love my baby more than everything on this planet and I will never let someone hurt him, I love him so much
Tess Jonin god bless ur family and have a wonderful life and raise him well 😊
