Annica, I am 29 years old and in tears. The way you handle yourself is… girl idk, I don’t even have words. My little 15 year old self needed a girl like you when I was that young. You are an amazing example and influence on these younger girls 🥹 your momma did so good ❤️
Girl high school kids are freaking mean!!! You hit the nail right in the head when you said it show different maturity levels…. Not just him but females that are talking shit!! I’m so proud of you girl!! You are something special!! Keep on going girl, your gonna reach the stars!!
Beautiful Annica Jane! “I am woman hear me roar. I am wise But it's wisdom born of pain. I've paid the price but look how much I've gained.” Helen Reddy wrote this and your Mom sang this on stage the very week she learned she was carrying you. I am 76 and still LOVE her song. Btw, I did not go to my school prom and have never lost a night’s sleep over that!! I’m SO proud of you! I love you. Gran 😘
Girl, you are thriving! I can promise you that any girl or boy at your school saying mean things about you is jealous. You’re out here living your best life at only 16, even I’m a little jealous (and I’m 29 😂) But I can already tell you have so much emotional maturity and you’re going to thrive in this world. 10 years from now, you’ll think about these moments and laugh and realize it pushed you closer to who and where you’re supposed to be.
I’m a 27-year-old woman about to get married in a few months, I don’t know how I got here lol. But I did wanna chime in and say I didn’t end up going to prom and although I was sad at the time, I literally never think about it and don’t regret it now. So sorry, high school boys are dumb. ♥️
As a grown woman, Annica one thing i know for sure is those girls from high school are so jealous. You have been going to coachella, travelling ext. Jealousy makes you so nasty and thats all it comes down to. Keep slaying and keep your head up
One thing I love about J&A + this channel is the pure and genuine feminine energy…. It’s so refreshing. Love you A! So many great things in store for you.
People are invited to proms at other schools all the time even if they don’t attend school there! There’s no problem with you going to prom even if you don’t “go to the school” - those girls sound immature and are just looking to be mean. You carry yourself with such grace and are so well spoken for someone your age. Love you and your channel! Keep being awesome!
Jealousy is a disease. What were the girlies even mad about?? Going to prom at different schools is about the most normal of things to have ever been done lol. Jennica did a great job in raising a strong mature girl, Annica is such a reflection of her mama. ♡♡♡
What a clap back just being like “I’ll hang out in LA instead” lolololol 👸🏼 good for you turning a bad situation in a incredible memory! Who can say they took their prom pics at the observatory like WHAT 🤯
Never ever apologize for being more mature than your peers! That is what makes you amazing. Special. And proof that you were raised by a mature queen! ❤❤
I’m a 25 y/0 girl and I watch ur videos lol I have 2 boys and I’m glad you shared this because boys are truly mean. And I hope to raise my sons to be mature and respectful. This is just a great reminder how important of a job being a mom is. If I ever have any girls, you’re just such a great role model and there isn’t many people like that now a days. So thank you for being genuine for this future generation
First of all - PROM PICS IN LA BY YOURSELF, girl SLAY Secondly - it would have been a blessing in disguise Thirdly - I LOVED this video, such a cool vibe 💖💖💖
That boy missed out on one of the best teenage girls around because other girls were too jealous of her to “allow” boys to take interest in her… how sad for them… and what a blessing for you to see the true colors of people before allowing them to hurt you deeper.
trust me beautiful girl, your prom experience in LA was so much more memorable than your prom at the school would’ve ever been… its really not anything its hyped up to be. im so glad u were able to change your perspective!!! u being this young & this mature is amazing & you’re helping so many other young girls struggling w the same thing right now!
His loss Cause literally your IT ❤ I felt like your aunt just now hearing girls saying mean things about you. Your literally soo genuine and sweet. Im in GA girl, lol It will take me a minute to get TN and I got cha back Also they didn’t want u there cause I mean look at you. Your a threat to them.
Annica, you looked stunning❤ I have an almost 13 year old daughter who has had more than her fair share of mean girl experiences and struggles to find real friends. You are definitely a great role model on how to not let rude people bring you down! I remind her all the time that these kids aren't going to determine her happiness, success or future in any way and to keep living her life for her and not them!!! 💕
Colored mascara would be so fun on you, Annica!! Like purple or even brown would look so cute on you. Proud of you for having the mindset and emotional maturity that you have. It’s seriously such a priceless quality for someone to have, and it’s a great one.
Prom can be an amazing experience and it’s totally okay to feel down about not going. However you got to have another amazing experience with your mom and this experience came from your hard work! Its so nice to see you giving yourself grace regarding this whole situation. Thank you for being vulnerable.
Annica, you are so precious. You are building such an amazing life for yourself while those kids are being mean and living small lives. Im so sorry this happened!
Girl u are handling this so well at your age because a lot of people would take it to far. U didn’t deserve him so keep your head up and rejection is sadly part of life❤
This is something hurtful to go through and I completely understand your feelings. I went through it in the same week of prom and ended up not going. if you ask me now, almost 4 years later I dont regret it. sad to think how mean people can be, but is also important to remind yourself who you are and how wonderful of a person you are, regardless of other peoples actions. Keep shining and being the ray of sunshine you are🌸💐 Much love! also thank you for sharing, hearing other peoples experiences helps a lot!
Period queen. Never apologize for being you! You inspire me every day, and I’m 21. Tbh prom isn’t that exciting looking back on it. You won’t regret missing that for the amazing memories you made!
Annica you handled this situation with so much maturity. I went to my highschool prom 2 years in a row. My jr and sr prom. Both times I went with a boyfriend. 2 different ones. In all honesty it wasn't that great and I only went because people said I would regret it if I didn't go. It would have maybe been better if I just went with just my friend's. Either way I am 33 years old now, looking back I dont think I would have regretted it. And would have much rather have done something similar to what you did. I'm glad you were able to still enjoy your dress. You looked gorgeous in that dress. I love watching yours and your moms vlogs. Let the haters hate. You are amazing! And never let a "boy" make you cry. Even though I am the same way as you; a cryer and would have cried too lol.
You absolutely didn’t deserve that however you are moving forward bigger and better than anyone could ever compare to which shows miles more maturity and independence than your peers. I genuinely hope I’m able to raise my daughter to have so many of the qualities you share with us on here. So impressed by you, what an absolute Queen! On a separate note, I’m preparing to get a kitten, could you share with us your cat owner must haves in a video sometime? I’d love some recommendations!
Girl you had the right attitude, and the comments are right! God was protecting you , you continue to go after all that he has in store for you! You and your mama is just the cutest, loveeee the dress!
Omg u are literally STUNNING. The way you handled the whole situation just shows how mature you are. I’m so sorry this happened to an amazing person like you. Loved ur vid ❤
Annica, thank you so much for sharing your story even though it was a tough situation. I have now watched this video like 4 times just thinking how good you are at makeup and also how strong and how you got through that so well. I know it was hard at first and I love how you got through the situation the right way. It was amazing how you didn’t trash talk that boy that dumped you because I know a lot of people would have a whole bunch of things to say to that person. Thank you for teaching so many girls out there the right way to handle the situation and for being so kind. Also I live in Chattanooga Tennessee would love to visit you sometime. 😊 Love you ❤
The way youre so mature about this situation is amazing. And youre right. You were not supposed to be In Tennessee that night. You were meant to be in cali. You’re building such a life for yourself right now! The many MANY experiences you’ll have because of how strong, motivated and just genuinely a good person you are will completely out weigh this prom experience. Also not that you were trying to flex but you just vacationed an extra week in LA and you took some pretty bomb revenge pics in your dress AND you have a brand deal in this video?! Who really lost here? Not you 😎
People were giving me this advice when I was a teenager and I just was too stubborn to listen and my hormones were just so out of control and I was a boy crazy. You are one of the best role models for other young women your age because you’re not boy crazy and you just get it. I’m 33 now and figured it out thank God but I definitely wish I realized that my life is just better and more fulfilled when I choose myself and my girlfriends over a guy that doesn’t have me in their top five.
That boy is for sure the mayor of loserville. Great thing that you took this situation like a pro and made the best out of it, he could never. I don't usually comment, but I had to this time, you just showed one more time why I keep watching your videos. Keep on the great job ❤
I was homeschooled and didn’t get a prom (I wasn’t cool enough to go to anyone else’s 🤣). I SO wish I just bought a dress and took pictures and had fun like you did! You definitely made the right choice to enjoy with week with your Mom and dress up for pics!! So proud of you for having fun anyway and telling your story for other girlies!
Happened to me too, the day of, I was already at venue all dressed up waiting for him. Took me years to get over, but I’m over it now. What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger, right? Glad you’re having a good attitude about it ❤
you’re attitude is so admirable throughout the video! so glad you turned that tough situation around and made the most out of your beautiful dress! you are beyond inspiring 💌🫧
A bit late but dont even with me right now you are STUNNING like honestly absolutely gorgeous no need to be sad over him his loss not yours you seem like such a sweet girl and this worked in your favour. Time with your mum is way more memorable than a prom night, you handled this better than a lot of other people would of in that situation so good job ml you deserve better xx
my senior year, i chose to do a similar thing with school. it was super hard to not be included & for friends i had whole life, acting like we weren’t. just know that it gets so much better. keep being you, the right people will find you!!
I never got asked to prom, I still went once as a junior with friends and had an alright time. But honestly, my prom was a mess too. My mom wouldn't let me pick a dress I liked or my hair, so I felt super self conscious and yucky. All you can do is make the best of it, move on, and learn. I just subscribed I think you handled yourself beautifully! 💕
You're right. Definitely sounds like he was peer pressured into not going with you. Who knows? Maybe those girls were jealous you were having it all. Well, you got even more. An amazing trip to LA, instead of a night with some messy teens.
I'm 22 now but UGH I remember getting dumped before prom and I had my dress that fit me like a glove to and girl I did exactly the same thing... took that girl t go get pictures !!! His loss you dodged that one and made way better memories so proud of you babe xo
Old mate fumbled the bag, he is going to have instant regret when he watches this video. Your mum is right, don't worry about boys. You've got your whole life to worry about them. You did your makeup so flawless. Amazing
You’re such a beauty inside and out! ❤️ Your momma is so right, focus on you and friendships because boys a dumb. You have such a mature perspective and taking the high road and being the bigger person always makes you when in the end. ❤
The same thing happened to me! The boy I was supposed to go to prom with dumped me 2 weeks before. I’m 27 years old now, and so happy he wasn’t part of my experience. You’re thriving and don’t let stupid high school boys get you down. The world is so much bigger ❤
Trust me theres someone out there for you... I know god has you some ome special. I know what its like to be dumped guy have done it to me as well and I am 28. So I know what your going through.... but girls are stronger than guys are you'll get through it God bless you!
You are beautiful, strong, smart, and amazing. Keep being yourself and let the world adjust. Some girls who are jealous are cruel, and he obviously is way too immature to know how to treat someone . Keep on shining!
I went through the exact same thing, my original prom date bailed two weeks before, I ended up asking someone else last minute and we’ve been together two years. Everything will fall into place the way it’s meant to
Hey Annica! I just want to say that I admire how strong you stand despite adversity from other people. You’ve said before that some people at school are not the nicest to you. Just like your mom has shared that she didn’t have the best high school experience. I come from a very different background and upbringing from you and your mother, but when the pandemic started, I randomly discovered you guys. And I’ve been a fan and I’ve been following, and I admire you both and I’m happy for you both. All the sponsorships, the victories, the successes all comes through your merit and hard work. Your mom raised a damn strong, intelligent and beautiful woman, you❤ That boy that dumped you 2 weeks before prom doesn’t know what he’s missing. Sending love! And luck for the rest of the school year you got 🎉
My ex cheated on me the week before my prom and it was one of the hardest experiences especially when you’re a teenager. I ultimately didn’t go to prom but I never once regretted it! You’re going to look back one day and realize that life hands you millions of amazing experiences that trump what we thought was best for us. You are so so strong!!
Annica!!! i am so so sorry! highschoolers are SO mean! i didnt end up going to prom either. my “friends” at the time were being mean to me and i had a panic attack for three days straight leading to prom and ended up in the ER bc my heart rate was so low they thought i was going to flatline at school😅 but i am so happy you still got your prom dress!!! you look amazing❤
Oh you definately killed it. I'm so proud of how you've handled this. I'm so happy you bought a beautiful dress and took those amazing pictures in such an epic place. The memories you made for your prom will always be unforgettable and a special moment in your life and in your heart to look back on. I'm a 65 yr old lady telling you..way to go! 🥰💐💗
Girl, you are so amazing. I'm not sure what anyone could say bad about you, you just seem so sweet and kind. Keeping being you and holding your head up! You're pictures were soo cutee! Love watching you and your mom so much!!
The guy just couldn’t handle the pressure of having the hottest and coolest prom date there! His loss, so much!!! The memories traveling with mama are more precious than prom, I promise you! You look so gorgeous girl 💗 I’m a pink girlly too!! 💞💞💞
also annica i was homeschool in high school i ended up just making a friend go with me a girl it was so much better ❤but hey u came here to california and we’re better ;)
UGH AJ, as a momma bear hearing that you were treated that way makes me want to fight someone. You are so beautiful and handled yourself with grace. I am so proud of you!
Babe. Just about everyone gets the chance to go to prom. Not everyone gets rhe opportunities you just had! I'm so so glad you chose to rock your dress and make it about you! I had 3 horrible prom experiences. Girls were so so mean for no reason at all. You probably didn't miss anything. It's 10000% his loss. I've never seen tou before but I can tell you you are a light! Keep being you!
ANNICA JANE!!!!! I am so beyond round of your courage and confidence. At your age this is amazing! This is such a crappy thing that happened to you but God gave it to you because he knew you were THAT girl that could not only handle it but make it a MOMENT! You are unstoppable baby girl!!!! Love you!!!!!❤❤❤❤❤
Thank god I have never experienced a ball or a prom but Annica your such a beautiful soul and so strong keep your head high that boy ain’t sh*t his loss keep shining! LOVE YA ANNICA💛
I didn’t even watch yet! I wanted to comment when I heard what this video is about. Many many years ago, I went with a guy from my senior class in high school, for that entire school year. I was crazy about him. I still think of him, I really mean that. He of course asked me to the prom and we went. But he dumped me the day after, to go out with another girl from our class. This was very embarrassing for me. And it really hurt. I cried a lot. But 3 months later I was leaving for college and a whole new life with new people and I survived this awful breakup. You will too. It will be ok. ❤️🌺🌸

So just bc he cancelled means he’s a bad dude ? “Dodged a bullet “? You don’t know the reason he actually cancelled
Annica, I am 29 years old and in tears. The way you handle yourself is… girl idk, I don’t even have words. My little 15 year old self needed a girl like you when I was that young. You are an amazing example and influence on these younger girls 🥹 your momma did so good ❤️
I agree as a 16 year old.❤
Ik this might be hard to hear for some girls going through a rough patch with a boy but remember, Rejection is Protection!!
Still makes me feel bad cause it’s happening to everyone else around me
Girl high school kids are freaking mean!!! You hit the nail right in the head when you said it show different maturity levels…. Not just him but females that are talking shit!! I’m so proud of you girl!! You are something special!! Keep on going girl, your gonna reach the stars!!
@repentandbelieveinJesusChrist4what did she do?
It is amazing seeing someone so young handling this type of experience with so much maturity and that shows how well her mama raise her. Proud of you!

Urgh this breaks my heart for you. Im so glad you and your mom made some CORE memories from such a let down. Girl you slayyyyyed ❤

Prom traumatic stress disorder is real. You’ll remember your trip with mom much more fondly than you would giving sweaty fboys the elbow all night.
my new definition of PTSD
@@annicajane awww poor baby!!

Old mate fumbled the bag, he is going to have instant regret when he watches this video. Your mum is right, don't worry about boys. You've got your whole life to worry about them. You did your makeup so flawless. Amazing
Aj I literally wanna call Tablerock and get them to host you and Jennica a prom. You deserve it!!
You’re such a beauty inside and out! ❤️ Your momma is so right, focus on you and friendships because boys a dumb. You have such a mature perspective and taking the high road and being the bigger person always makes you when in the end. ❤
I’m proud of you girl! Annika, we may not know each other, but the way you handled this shows your momma raised a strong young woman.
yess to keepin ur head up queen! kids are so mean for no reason and high school is just a blip in your life anyways. luv to c ya thrive
My daughter went one year with 3 friends. When I had prom you had to have a date. I like that they changed that!! ❤
Honestly, this just makes your prom more memorable by bringing your dress to LA!
“Hot girls don’t have to go to prom.” Period. 💕✨💅🏼💋
Genuinely so proud of the growth I’ve had the privilege to watch you go through. You are so beautiful, confident, and self-assured🤍🤍🤍
Momma J did a damn good job with this chick. You should be so proud of yourself for who you are and how you handled this.
You are absolutely amazing girly, sending all the love, you are thriving!! Keep shining!! 🤩😍🥰🌤️❤️
You are beautiful, strong, smart, and amazing. Keep being yourself and let the world adjust. Some girls who are jealous are cruel, and he obviously is way too immature to know how to treat someone . Keep on shining!
Girl I’m so proud of you. You dealt with that better than I would have at that age ❤
I went through the exact same thing, my original prom date bailed two weeks before, I ended up asking someone else last minute and we’ve been together two years. Everything will fall into place the way it’s meant to
a queen!! for my senior prom I also didn't go and just got dressed up and took pictures (honestly thats the best part anyways)
Your mom raised a damn strong, intelligent and beautiful woman, you❤
That boy that dumped you 2 weeks before prom doesn’t know what he’s missing.
Sending love! And luck for the rest of the school year you got 🎉
This exact situation happened to me because I switched to online school too
My ex cheated on me the week before my prom and it was one of the hardest experiences especially when you’re a teenager.
Girl you look absolutely stunning! Girls rule and boys drool. 🤭 Ilysm.

LOVE YA ANNICA💛
I hope he’s watching this, because Annica is a baddie period!
Never went to dances in hs and honestly don’t regret not going
I didn’t even watch yet! I wanted to comment when I heard what this video is about. Many many years ago, I went with a guy from my senior class in high school, for that entire school year. I was crazy about him. I still think of him, I really mean that. He of course asked me to the prom and we went. But he dumped me the day after, to go out with another girl from our class. This was very embarrassing for me. And it really hurt. I cried a lot. But 3 months later I was leaving for college and a whole new life with new people and I survived this awful breakup. You will too. It will be ok. ❤️🌺🌸
