As a retired sheriff’s deputy for 27 yrs. you main goal when in a fire fight is that you go home and the other idiots go to the morgue.40 cal great knocking down power and it’s a great carry conceal weapon.Nothing more to say👮❤️👍🏻
I bought the Glock 27 Gen 4 based on Hicock45 and folks like you reviewing it and I just want you to know that, it was one of the best decisions I've made about a weapon. The recoil is strong and hard for me to line up the follow-up shot without re-gripping, but the firearm is like a work of art. I've since added the talon rubberized grip and although I've not shot it with the grip installed, it feels better. Dead nuts accurate in my hand.
G27 is the carry gun of choice for me. The .40 in a small, stubby package is what attracted me in the first place. Stopping power + ultimate concealability in one package.
Great to the point video. I have 22 for home(33rd mags), 27 for ccw use with 22 mags as back up w/xgrip sleeves, and a 42 for pocket w/ +2. I am an admitted Glock fanboy. And why not, every gun a grab is the same. No having to think which one today and safety on/off. Always one in chamber and ready. I do have a second home defense non Glock - Mossberg 500. I have a favor to ask anyone willing to help a guy out, seriously. Please call Crimson Trace and request they make a green laser grip for the 27. Enough request and they will produce. Before you all start hating on me I like me a laser, I train with and without laser, but I do love a laser and being colorblind, red is only good for indoors. Help get a green laser grip made, I beg you. Own what you love and love what you own!!
I have a Glock 27 gen4 and I absolutely like it so much. It give me so many options. I can use it as my primary conceal carry, or slap in a 30 round fun stick and take it to the range. I want to convert it to a 9mm or 357 sig with conversion barrels and magazines. What a great all around platform. Nice video man.
Should be no debate between Glock 27 or Glock 26. Get the Glock 27 AND a Lone Wolf 40-9 conversion barrel. I did it for my Glock 22 and I love being able to shoot 40cal AND 9mm with nothing more than a 10 sec barrel swap when I am at the range. While I love my 1911, feeding her 45ACP gets expensive$$$
alwong604 this is the only legitimate reason as to why i would purchase a 27. I feel like accuracy and recoil are two big reasons why i went with the 23 for my CCW instead of the 27.
Yep. Have G27 with 9mm for training. EDC with .40 cal Hornady Critical Duty. Have to fire off few .40 cals in her for the feel. Backup is SW .38 with concealed hammer.
I love my 27. I've had it at least 8 years and put 1500-2000 rds of various ammo and have never had it jam on me once. Oddly enough I've come to like the looks of glocks as well over the years & love my 17 and 22 as well. Great video.
+Nesmaniac IN the late 80's early 90's I thought they were the ugliest gun and why would some one want one. Around 94 I bought one too and now I think the simplicity of the look are also cosmetically pleasing as well
I carry a 23, but having shot my friends 27 I really did not feel a whole lot of difference between the two. If you put a grip extension on a 27, I have the opinion you might as well carry a .23. As far as a manual safety, the training I've had the instructor did not want us even using the slide release under stress to reload bc fine motor skills become increasingly difficult under stress. I don't have the time to train all the time to work on SA/DA trigger pulls, flipping a safety on the draw, etc. the glock is just a more instinctive gun for me. I keep my finger off the trigger until I am on target, so a manual safety is not necessary for me. I do not want to have to defeat a safety at a time of stress or wonder whether I've disengaged it right before I have to shoot. A manual safety for a carry gun will get you killed IMO unless its a 1911.
Well said brother! I made the mistake of selling my Gen3 27 I had for 9 years... I recently bought a Gen4 27 because I missed it so much! Out of all my Glocks, my 27 is my fav. I also love the .40 cal round and massive pos. of options as well. I have a .22LR, and .357 sig. conversions for it. Love the G27!
I love my 27. What I like is the stopping power, and with the 27 you don’t have to worry about it going through a target and being a risk like with a 26, where in a defense situation it won’t pass through and strike anything behind.
Glock makes a solid gun, for sure! I've never liked the baby Glocks b/c of their short grip, but I really enjoy the compact and full size models. Thanks for sharing
i got it used like new not one scratch insde or out for $400.00 with everything.Glock box, locks, info, factory first spent round, 3 mags, cleaner brushes, mag loader, and NRA info. when you say first timer, do you mean 1st Glock or first handgun or first gun ever?
I have both the 23 gen4 and the 27 gen4. Picked up the 27 for my wife. She's a little tiny thing and actually ended up with the 23 because it doesn't bounce around on her so much. I recently pimped out the 27 with grips, and a laserlyte and absolutely love it!! Excellent choice for concealed carry imho. And I love the .40 S&W round. Can't go wrong with the 27!!
A excellent video on the glock 27 gen3 what's good about these glock guns this 27 could use the glock 22,23 magazines with more rounds but much bigger if you could find one buy it they are hard to find 💯 👍
To me the 27 is king over the 26 , that's what I carry daily in the waist band , as my back up to that subcompact I carry a Walther CCP 9mm , my favorite is the Glock 27 with my extended Mags off 22 rounds it's a no brainier !
I and my wife carry a gen 1 27. I have two 15 round mags with grip extensions as well as four(2 each) original equipment mags. Both are equipped with night sights. We’ve fired many 100’s of rounds..both are as good now as when they were new 20 years ago! Love the extended mags which make a steadier platform to shoot, especially at 25 yards.
I got one of these in February. I wanted a Glock, I wanted on in 40 Cal/S & W, and I wanted a different CC option, with reliability. At the end of the day, the G27 fulfilled all of my needs and I am not a Glock zombie. After I got used to the snappy recoil, it was aces from there. The options you listed are just a bonus! Good video!
I enjoyed your opinion on the magazine swap and that its like you can have another pistol by changing the barrel and the magazine, cool. I just got mine. I'm picking it up thursday but I can't wait. Thanks for the video.
Gen 3 was just too big for my hand, so I had a grip reduction done and beaver tail added and it is really a good fit now. Lone Wolf 9mm barrel shoots cheap and I'm digging it.
I purchased a 27 before glock had any other generation pistol. I asked my gunsmith if he carried any baby glocks. He asked me what caliber I wanted. He told me he had .40 cal. I was a street cop at the time, but never heard of 40 cal, so I tried them. Yeah, I'm talking years ago. The first hand gun I fired was in 1968, at fort Bennington Ga. In45 cal. I never had any problems with that 45. Never had any problem with the 38 cal in the police academy. In 1970. After 20 years in the phila police dept., never had any problem with the S & W mod 10 or 19. the glock was easy to shoot. So easy, I shot it without meaning to, in my living room. Never did that before. Never did it since. So, I sold the 27, and went back to wheelies by S& W. Stay safe out there!
It's not all about looks, it's about versatility and durability! I love my 27! Plus you can change out the internals on it without needing a gunsmith, a 3.5lb connector for example. What kind of night sights do you have on yours? I'm in the market for night sights.
Could not agree more with your video. I purchased a used Glock 27 with 16 10rd magazines, grips had been stippled and an external safety added, also a front night sight. Shoots great. Then I ordered a Lone Wolf 9mm barrel and can now shoot 9mm as well as 40s&w. Using my Glock 19 magazines for the 9mm conversion.
not sure if you have already said this or not but whats the grips you have on that G27? I have talon sandpaper type grip tape on mine but i cant wear it IWB. The sandpaper cuts me up. looking for a good rubber grip setup.
I F-ing LOVE the 27! Very concealable and tremendous firepower for its size. First time I shot it I was caught a little offguard as to how snappy it is. In fact, because of the shortness of the slide and the weight, I would say that it has even more felt recoil than a full sized .45 1911. To a new shooter or someone that gets overly intimidated by recoil, I would recommend trying out the 26
There is a barrel conversion for G27 from 40mm to 9mm. I quite sure you are aware of this. What's your opinion about that, are there advantages in changing barrels to shot different ammo? Thank you.
I bought my 27 when they were introduced and I just added the "Talon" rubber version grips. What a huge improvement for such a pittance. I did a good job installing..kinda fun actually. They are thin so there is no perceived additional thickness. $17 and Great free shipping..arrived on second day from Colorado..I am California and the guys are just straight up pro customer. I ordered rubberized version for ccw comfort but the sandy version gets high marks too. Hey..even your wife cant complain about $17 bucks.
another reason that the Glock 27 is one of the best concealed carry options is that you can buy a G-26 style conversion barrel or a 357.sig conversion barrel and u get many caliber options. it's a win win type gun. it's accurate-reliable and it's very easy to shoot. and it's comfortable to carry. you forget it's there after a while, the G -27 and the M&P shield are the two top concealed carry options for me. and the G-27 is my preferred out of those two because of the 9 round mags u get 9+1
How much is this gun going for now days? I see 3 Gens at my LGS for around $545 out the door. Yet again, I see people post they get them cheaper. Any suggestions?
i have a 23 and 27. carry the 27 daily. love them both. dont forget the 22rd mags in 40 cal. i have the 9mm conversion barrels for the hell of it. probably will get a 357 sig barrel for the 23 eventually. if i could only have one i would keep my 23, just more versatile
So if you want to shoot this gun with 9mm, and you buy a conversion barrel and mag, do you have to bend in the ejector like you do running a 9mm conversion barrel in a a G22?
The Glock 27 will also take the Glock 23 barrel which I do carry it in this configuration from time to time. The Glock 22 barrel will not fit the 23 or 27. I have the gen 3 Glock 27 and I just purchased the gen 4 Glock 27 with the Beaver Tail Back Straps' and the 23 barrel fits it also, you've just got to love the Glock 27 & 26 and by the way the Glock 19 barrel does fit in the Glock 26. Good video brother.
The fact that a Glock 27 can easily be a 40S&W, 357 Sig and a 9MM all totally reliable makes it a much better choice over the 26. Like you said options are the key.
Hate to be a buzz killer but the 26 and 27 ejectors are different. Love and carry the 27 Gen4, but really don't like forcing what was meant for something else. If 9mm was my desire, I would have kept the 26 instead. Shoot and sometimes carry the S&W M&P compact 4" M2.0 for my 9mm fix. Personally prefer it to the 19, AND $200 LESS. Each of us dance to their own music
i have a 3 gen g27 and the only gripe i have is my pinky gets pinched when i fire the first round from a magazine with a pierce mag extension. i've heard this happening with others quite a bit.
I love virtually all firearm manufacturers, some more than others for sure. But, I gotta ask one question here, why not something from the Springfield Armory XD series? Its got a good mag capacity, very nice recoil spring/guide rod, and an excellent trigger. Now, I will be the first to say, you dont yet have the Lone Wolf conversion barrel for the XDs. But it is coming soon. Just a thought I had.
I have the same Limbsaver grip on my G 27. The grip slides around when you are shooting it and can obstruct your mag release. So I slide it down low just like your is on the video, then put a drop of glue under the grip at the top and bottom in the rear and in the front. Those few drops of glue keep the Limbsaver from moving.
LOVE my g27. Bought some 3M deck tape at the hardware store, cut some small strips and applied them to some choice spots on the grip. Works like a charm and doesn't peel away, even after daily carry for 6 months. Thing's a little hand cannon for sure.
gotta luv my G27! I recently added an AA .22 Cal conversion slide ... works great! I can also drop in my .40 - 9mm Lone Wolf conversion barrel from my G23 and it becomes a G26 with extended barrel. Options are a good thing!
You can do the same mag upgrade for the Smith & Wesson M&P 9c and the Springfield XD series of pistols. I'm sure you can do the same with some others but you don't need to convince me because I love Glocks and I carry a G27 quite often.
Good video. Where are you from? I am used to hearing the Appalachian-ers use the term "you-uns". You don't sound like you are from east Tn or NC. You sound more like you have a hint of Pennsylvania in you. I am usually pretty good at zeroing in on accents but you have me stumped.
the beauty of the glock27 too me is that it has many potential uses. i own a g27 and it's reliable no matter what caliber i chose to use. i use 9mm and .40 caliber just slap in the conversion barrel and your good. i have a gen 3 g27 9+1 .40 caliber in a sub compact is a great self defense option. it's a great back up piece. (snappy? yes but man up!)
Just recently took some round files to a G27 gen 2.5. A trigger guard undercut makes it much more ergonomic and comfortable as does Pearce PG-2733 pinky extensions with the top lip shaved off to stop pinching. Also, a threaded G23 barrel gives 100 more fps to Underwood 200gr Hard Cast. All that, plus a 9/16-24 KAK compensator gives faster follow-up shots against lions, and tigers, and bears, oh my! Woods carry ready!
Nice vid. I have a G27 as well & am a .40 fan. I had to put Pearce extensions on all my mags because I'm one of those sissies who needs his pinky on the grip. I also own a Walther PPS, however, and I'm really curious to know what other G27 owners think of the PPS. For me, the PPS puts the G27 out of work as a carry gun. The PPS only carries 7 in the mag, but 8 rounds of .40 is nothing to sneeze at. It's unbelievably slim, solidly constructed & its trigger & takedown are identical to Glock.
I personally think by adding the extended base plate to the magazine you're negating the only real advantage that the 27 has over the 23 but that's just my .02 worth. Whatever is comfortable and works for you is what's most important.
As a retired sheriff’s deputy for 27 yrs. you main goal when in a fire fight is that you go home and the other idiots go to the morgue.40 cal great knocking down power and it’s a great carry conceal weapon.Nothing more to say👮❤️👍🏻
The one time I seriously agree with a cop 😅
@@TheFatmac10 Yeah crooks like th 40 cal too.
Nothing more needed than your informed comment. It is an amazing Life defense Firearm.
I bought the Glock 27 Gen 4 based on Hicock45 and folks like you reviewing it and I just want you to know that, it was one of the best decisions I've made about a weapon. Great points - Thats why I have a G27 too
You should get another G27
The thing I like about Glocks is that they're ridiculously easy to detail strip and every single spare part is available from retailers.
I don't know why people say Glocks are ugly. I personally think they're really beautiful! :D
I have 3 27s and one is my EDC. Love the way they shoot, the way they feel when in my hand. One of Glock’s best pistols.
Yes sir its small but a powerfull edc
U could buy a G33 barrel chambered in .357 sig and a 9mm conversion barrel and have 3 guns with 3 different calibers
Barrel conversions. Basically 3 guns in 1 👍🏻
This video was ultimately the reason i got my gen4 G27, i was on the fence about it but you brought uo alot of very valid reason to get it! Thank you!
Got me a Glock 23 and a Glock 27, will carry any one with no worries. I love these guns. Completely secure always

and get yourself a Glock”

;-)
Get rid of that hideous rubber grip sleeve also! 🤦🏻♂️
I have a Glock 27 gen4 and I absolutely like it so much. It give me so many options. I can use it as my primary conceal carry, or slap in a 30 round fun stick and take it to the range. Thats y GLOCK is king!!!...I got a g23 ...luv it!!

alwong604 also another barrel change to 357. And can shoot 22 with a slide change .

I have a Lasermax guide rod sight for my G27 and sent a vr. You can post if you want. If not no biggie
Another great video Marbles. I carry a 27 also. Just put on some Truglo sights and a 3 1/2 lb. trigger connector. Awesome gun, awesome caliber.
I love my 27. What I like is the stopping power, and with the 27 you don’t have to worry about it going through a target and being a risk like with a 26, where in a defense situation it won’t pass through and strike anything behind.
Loved your video, and love my Block 27!

I love my G27 (Gen 3) it's accurate as hell and very very reliable.
Dude great vid!!! I just got my Glock 27 G4 today and I have to say I love it... its great!!!
I got one of these in February. I wanted a Glock, I wanted on in 40 Cal/S & W, and I wanted a different CC option, with reliability. Cool! What Holster are you using?
Hey marbles do you have to keep reapplying that white crayon to the G27 or does it last?
I love my G27 as well. It is quite accurate for the power it has
Hey CharlyRomeo2009, I am wondering what more EXCITING cartridge do you recommend over the .40 S&W?
Glocks are also very simple to break down and parts can be found all over the world. I don't have a .40 but glocks rock!
It's not all about looks, it's about versatility and durability! I love my 27! Plus you can change out the internals on it without needing a gunsmith, a 3.5lb connector for example.
What kind of night sights do you have on yours? I'm in the market for night sights.
Thanks you too!
Well done vid sir. I also like the 27, well, and the 23 and 17 and 19 and 26 and, and, well you get the idea.
Just came across your channel, I was just wondering, what's the grip you have on your glock model 27??
Good points. I have several handguns but the only ones I ever carry are my g27 gen4 and my g30 depending on my mood!
Love my 27 great video
Don't forget the fun stick 22 rounds :)
I agree 100%! I have the same set-up on my 27.
Nice looking gun! I like the added rubberized grip too. Carry responsibly.
Do you find that your shirt gets caught on the rubbery grip? I'm thinking of picking one up.
not sure if you have already said this or not but whats the grips you have on that G27? I have talon sandpaper type grip tape on mine but i cant wear it IWB. The sandpaper cuts me up. looking for a good rubber grip setup.

how much did u buy it? and is it ur first one? and would you buy it for first timer? thanks.
I agree with you 💯%. I carry a 13 rd magazine as a spare. also have a 30 Rd magazine just for the heck of it.
There is a barrel conversion for G27 from 40mm to 9mm. I quite sure you are aware of this. What's your opinion about that, are there advantages in changing barrels to shot different ammo? Thank you.

i think they are frigin gorgeous!!
I just purchased a Glock 27 to go with my Glock 19 and enjoy shooting it. Thanks for the video!

So if you want to shoot this gun with 9mm, and you buy a conversion barrel and mag, do you have to bend in the ejector like you do running a 9mm conversion barrel in a a G22?
Great vid bromen :)
Great choice my friend. I gave mine to the shechef. I carry the G30 in the 45 ACP. I will be getting a couple more 27's though!
Absolutely and with a magazine change and barrel you have another caliber...voila! My .40 to 9mm conversion never fails.
White accents look great man, mine are done with a paint marker and acetone. I think it works a little better than the crayon method
I pocket carry this with G23 mag & XGrip rubber sleeve on it in a Desantis Superfly.
Did you ever try the CCW Breakaway Pants?
LOVE my g27. Bought some 3M deck tape at the hardware store, cut some small strips and applied them to some choice spots on the grip. Works like a charm and doesn't peel away, even after daily carry for 6 months. Thing's a little hand cannon for sure.
Excellent review of an excellent weapon.
Have you shot it with the Limbsaver yet? What's the verdict?
I was SOLD on Glock after purchasing a 19 as my first gun. Then I purchased the 26 and 27 for CC
gotta luv my G27! I recently added an AA .22 Cal conversion slide ... works great! I can also drop in my .40 - 9mm Lone Wolf conversion barrel from my G23 and it becomes a G26 with extended barrel. Options are a good thing!
Informative video. Thanks. What you say about options is like saying that Glocks are the small block Chevy of guns. ;-)
Where did you get the rubber slip on grip?
Nice review !!! Would be my choice, after de excellent 23.
Well said bro!
I have a G27. I want to buy another .40 Glock for home defense. What do you recommend? A G22 or a G23?
Good video, are you from Pittsburgh? I don't hear many people outside of da burgh saying "YINZERS"
the beauty of the glock27 too me is that it has many potential uses. i own a g27 and it's reliable no matter what caliber i chose to use. i use 9mm and .40 caliber just slap in the conversion barrel and your good. i have a gen 3 g27 9+1 .40 caliber in a sub compact is a great self defense option. it's a great back up piece. (snappy? yes but man up!)
Woods carry ready!
how much do the seperate mag's coast mate?
Are the Lone Barrels good for the Glocks?
Great video I am sold😉😎
It's unbelievably slim, solidly constructed & its trigger & takedown are identical to Glock.
i have the same gun... how did you get the white on the gun??
Where did u get ur grip from
clipdraw IWB holster is a great addition to the 27 i love it on mine.
I personally think by adding the extended base plate to the magazine you're negating the only real advantage that the 27 has over the 23 but that's just my .02 worth. Whatever is comfortable and works for you is what's most important.
Nice!!!!! Im looking forward to get my first glock, Where did u get yours?
