    From what I have found it is the sugar caramelizing

    It's steeping in your RDA from the heat of your coils. It's not really a bad thing, but if not wicked the best or if your coils aren't great it will happen more often. It usually just dulls out the flavor a small bit, and can make it more "watered down".

    Its the caramelising of the juice. I switch between 2 flavours every few days and notice 1 of them always leave a red stain on my wick. Its not the screws.

    ethyl maltol + diacetyl (vanilla custard CAP) . I mix my own juices, and i was able to isolate that ingredients that caused that

    Well I've noticed one thing for certain: The more I dry burn my coils, the faster they'll turn my juice red/brown. I'm not speaking of gunk build-up, but rather the oxidation of the alloy itself. This became quite apparent to me after I experimented with a brand new coil. Instead of the usual quick burn I give a new coil to remove factory residues and whatnot, I gave it 4 long, red-hot burns, with a quenching between each burn. It made my juice taste like ass, and it began changing colour almost immediately.
    My advice is to dry-burn your gunk, but don't get crazy. The coil shouldn't glow brightly, or for very long either.

    I know that light will turn clear juice a amber as the bottle ages. I never seen red, but I have seen it turn like a dark drown in attis when juice gets thick from using it a long time with out cleaning. At least once a month rinse it with water and let by over night even if you don't need to rebuild. I have also used vodka or even rubbing alcohol if it's real bad then rice real good with water. I also will put a drop or 2 of vodka in like 30m bottle of juice to get more of a throat hit.

    Heard could be old juice or other chemicals added in to the nicotine e juice can make it like a redish color leaked out of coil an into the tank don't know if it's safe to vape it or why it's happening on a new mesh coil

    I believe this is due to the heat as well as the gunk and oxidation from the coils. I would not dry burn coils. I would change them out once they start getting gunked up and dirty looking.

    • @xjallday320
      @xjallday320 7 років тому

      NunOfYourBiz so you would change the coils every week? I have heard that dry burning and especially dry burning then hitting with water while still hot really speeds up the corrosion process and weakens the integrity of the metal

    Never had that problem. Could be something with the juice. I run a box mod with a Mutation X addy and duel 24 parallel coils and a Stingray with a Tobe addy and duel 24 parallel and neither do that. Have ran many different combos of mods and addys and the only time Iv seen a slight red tint is on my copper Tobe addy, the cotton had a reddish tint right around where the cotton and coil meet.

    Its certain sweeteners caramelizing/ oxidising. Its not the screws or the posts...i have all stainless and gold plated decks and posts and certain juice lines will turn my cotton red in less than an hour of vaping.
    It should be noted that all juices will eventually turn red if left long enough in a rda or tank without use, but some ingredient that makers are using is speeding up the process in some juice lines during use. One that i recently tried and it bothered me is Anarchist white label juice. After an hour my cotton was already beginning to redden. This does not happen with higher quality juices like the Naked 100 line, Cassadaga or even Loaded which is a very sweet juice.

    Noticed this a lot with juice using koolada (forgive me if spelling is bad) or very sweet juice , every juice I personally have had from Malaysia seems to turn red within the first 10 to 20 puffs ....

      @jalajsingh8767 5 років тому

      Absolutely.
      I regularly buy nasty and this happens to be with them all.
      TBH, it gives burnt taste too.
      Once it turns red, its never the same as you first vaped it.
      Worries me everytime.

    Can it be rust

  • @cecosvidovski
    @cecosvidovski 7 років тому +1

    ANSWER: I had the same problem with a Plume Veil RDA Clone. When some of the screws aren't galvanized well they become rusty... Try pouring some e-liquid on a rusty screw and you'll see that the liquid becomes red after some time. The heat fastens this chemical reaction...Go get some high quality screws and clean your posts well. It can be also from other not galvanized parts.

      In no way shape or form should a GALVANIZED item be used in a vape. that coating can come off at high temp and is EXTREMELY toxic.

      incorrect, happens on brand new hardware

  • @chrispifer3691
    @chrispifer3691 8 років тому +1

    It's s reaction to cheaply built atty's if it's a cheap metal it's having a chemical reaction with the juice if you put the same juice in "authentic" rda's Then it won't happen. Most clones are made from cheap metal and I only experience this issue with cheap gear

      Chris Pifer however I have this problem with my authentic endless v2 rda. It's confusing me a lot. Probably going to get some titanium screws for it

      Chris Pifer I'm having this issue with my brand spankin new wotofo serpent rdta so I know it isn't the screws and I'm using wonder worm which is as clear as juice can get and the coil is only 2 days old

    Mine does the same thing. I think it's oxidation of the nicotine. I'm at 1% nic now, and it doesn't seem to be as bad.

      Sultan Almubarak no idea. But I think I know what might be it. I have orange seal rings and I think they're giving off colour. I'll replace them to see if it's fixed.

  • @alexneil394

    I'm getting sick of people trying to over complicate this issue. Its oxidation , its sugar coarmolizing yada yda... NO its not. It has to be the wicking technique or type of cotton. How do I know this ? My mod mechanic just made me a new build and didn't turn brown or rusty. Well just today the wick was croaking on me so I re wicked it (with my own cotton) and before you know it , it was turning brown and tasting horrible.. Not sure if its the cotton or wicking technique or even both.. It's really frustrating. I'm thinking about zapping the coils ..
