You’re welcome! After the isomalt is cooked, I usually put it in a silicone cup and add the coloring, mix it, and then pop it in the microwave for 30 seconds to bring it back to a boil. Let it rest a minute if you’re pouring so you don’t pour bubbles into your design. Air brush colors are best but I also use gel. It can be a bit more sticky if you use gel.
I make sure that it’s no longer boiling or has bubbles when I add my airbrush food coloring and flavoring. I also pop it back in the microwave after mixing in the coloring to bring it to a boil again.
@@IcingOnTopBeckysCakes I love being able to re-melt. I make a lot of hard candy with sugar so Isomelt feels so forgiving! Thank you for your response!
You can buy precooked isomalt from somewhere like Simicakes.com and she has great precooked isomalt that’s really clear. All you have to do is microwave it.
This is so helpful - Thank-you 🙏🏻
If you want to colour the isomalt, at what stage do you add colour?
And can you use gel colours?

Could you pop the bubbles after the first pour with a needle just after you pour it?
once, it is shaped as diamonds, do they feel sticky?
and do they break easily?
They’re somewhat sticky but are best if stored in a cool dry place.
Isomalt is more fragile than glass. These little gems are as easily broken as a thinner piece would be but they’re definitely breakable.
Great videos
Thank you
Hello there, at what temp can I add color or/and flavoring?
