Watch the old "Gargoyles" animated series. Frakes was a feckin legend in that show.

Riker's personal log. First contact with the Mucosians went.... badly. Their overuse of their own mucous on every surface of their equipment has damaged all their hard work and has seriously set back their warp drive program by twenty years. I suggest the Federation not have more contact with them until they "clear the air" and develop Kleenex tissue technology. On an unrelated note, I should probably take another shower...
Riker: The Mucosian planet has been declared a Biohazard, until further notice.....
Sonic shower is not gonna help. Get the Cardassian bleach!
The twist is that the Mucosian mucous cures most diseases in the galaxy and reverses aging. :)

Love the fact they got Frakes and McFadden to reprise their roles for this. Very Scooby Doo and hammed up for all it's worth 😂
Unfortunately Jim Stamburt was not available to voice Redheaded Ensign #15, so he had no lines in this.. But at least he was included, because they knew he was a fan favorite.

I was just saying how great it is that they captured the disconnect these old cartoons had, between the stoic TV actors voicing the leads and the goofy hanna-barbera cartoon alien voices... and now I'm realizing Schultz could do both.
@@KairuHakubi Yeah he's super talented. I rather hope one of the Trek spinoffs will get him back. Maybe make him the most mishap prone captain in the fleet.
@@BeautifulFreak-qf6go i hate to say it but I have to agree with the RedLetterMedia guys, that because Picard season 3 finally nailed it so hard, they should really just retire all of those characters. so nothing can ever ruin them again. (Until 20 years from now when they think it's okay to recast them) but the occasional voice bit on Lower Decks or something? Absolutely.
Her calling him Bill was an additional layer of brilliance the beauty of which I can't quite define.
In the show, only his Imzadi calls him that but it makes sense Crusher would pick it up too.

@@tanizaki Pretty sure an early ep of TNG called him Bill, it was a mistaken holdover from the TNG series bible which said he went by Bill.
I love how noncannon the whole show is. Riker's log in the beginning was stardate 2252, in our calendar 2325. That's about 35-40 years before the Enterprise-D launched so he wasn't even born yet 😂
I wish UA-cam had an easier way of finding comments that already say what you want to say.
So you're applauding the complete lack of effort made by the writers of this? I swear, fans these days just lap up whatever trash they're fed without question so long as it's got their favourite IP stamped on it, and make mind numbing excuses for how poor quality it is.
@@spenser9908 there's a reason this is uploaded on UA-cam man, paramount would have made it only available on paramount+ if it was quality. It's supposed to be a continuation of the 70s animated series cartoon, and that's what animation looked like back then.

@@sail2byzantium They definitely nailed the Filmation art and music styles. It used to be a love/hate sort of thing with me while watching their shows on Saturday mornings. It took watching He-Man and BraveStarr weekdays to finally grow into it.
This needs to be a weekly event. Fill in the gaps between episodes. Such as, the day after "The Naked Now" or "Genesis". Nothing like working on the day after they devolved.

I'm pretty sure the Federation actually monitors planets from afar to know their culture and such before making First Contact, there was a whole episode in TNG about it.

@@jdshultis I thought the first one was kinda clever the way the captian "solved" his problem. The second one was shock humor and fart jokes (i shamefully laughed at a couple). This one was just a gross-out session with no real comedy. All in all, even the "best" one has been pretty bad. I have absolutely no clue what the appeal is of this one is.
@@jdshultis it's beyond juvenile but very fitting I think with SNW. We have now moved from high school drama in SNW to 9 year old potty humour. This is the kind of writing you get from kids raised on Captain Underpants.
