- This is my favorite build for the Griffin GRF-2N in Mechwarrior Online! It allows me to sneak up with ECM and smash with SRM's!

Back in the day (before rescale and engine decouple) the GRF-3M with 4*SRM4A was my absolute favourite mech. A little less splat, but more speed and jump capability. 700+ dmg games were common, 1000+ dmg wasn't overly difficult. Miss that mech.
Did a sick flip at 7:09, mech version of a 360 no scope.
I used to run that build all the time when scouting was still a thing, god i miss that 4vs4 mode.
been diggin these vids a bit, but would love to see two drops for each mech just to see some varying situations and map conditions

im a massive fan of the 2N. Currently enjoying running 4x MRM 10 and 2x LPPC.
But always loved the 4x SRM6 variant. Griffons are just sooo much fun
Stock 2N actually works pretty damn good, just saying.
I made this build myself here recently and I’m loving it! A question though: what do you recommend for a skill setup?
I have a 2N set up similar to this, but I haven’t touched it in around a year at this point. Will probably take a look at when they do the Griffon quirk pass.
This mech rocked so hard before the rescale.
I use the 2N with 4 SRM4's plus 2 Large Lasers. A bit less splat, a bit more option for ranged response. Carry on!
Instead of Large Lasers, use LPPCs. They don't have min. range now and their heat is low enough to use in brawl range for a couple of alphas and they have the 500m range as well.
Also they have approximate 99% less facetime, I'd get those LPPC for a possible engine-upgrade, gonna check it out

The Griffin is another one of my favorite chassis. Are there any other medium mechs that can do ECM + MRMs? Hero Assassin maybe? I use an XL, 4 MRM 10s, and 2 MLs on my 2N. It's like an ECM version of the Ares, which I also love. The Sparky has become my favorite though, 2 ERLLs and 4 MLs. Overall it just seems like a workhorse of a mech, whichever variant you choose.
ASN-27 works very well, too, plus you don’t have to spend money and you get one more energy hard point
On the clan side, ACW can ECM+(L)CAP+4xSRM6 and runs faster.
Might try the GRF-2N with 4xMRM-10 & Stealth Armour. Running MRMs & Stealth on Raven & Hellspawn, so a bigger version could be fun.
Just remember MRMs run hotter and do less damage than SRMs. SRMs have more big dick energy if you wanna get right up inside somebodys rear which you just cant get with MRMs ;)
@@awesomefatBruceLee The aforementioned Raven & Hellspawn keep enemies outside their ECM bubble, using the MRM-10’s better range & grouping.

I was a top tier founder, I have yet to really play this game. Haven't even used the founder pack yet. Lol

@@themadatheist1976 Yo i feel that pain. my only upgrade in the last 10 years is an Alienware 14 lappy with a GeForce GTX 765M before that I could barely get mw4 to run

What about a Light 280, move the heat sink to the engine slot, and go Light Ferro? Do you like that one better?
Also, how do you feel about putting some ammo in the head, and adding CASE to one leg?
C for C.A.S.E, C for coward! :P Though think that will remove the choice to go MRM60 without removing the Ligh Ferro?

As nice as the 2N is i think we all know the quad Ac2 Griffin is best Griffin ;)
Ohh, i think my 3 AC2 + 2 MRM10 SHD-2H beat them both, great rate of fire on those ballistics. Gonna check that Griffin out though! ;)
@@Iliyena87 they both will have -15 Ballistic cooldown, also come on... triple SRM4s work great on the Shadow Hawk ;)

But at the moment there is 15+10% cooldown total on the SHD-2H for ballistics. Better hardpoints and the MRM10s almost behave like long-range SRMs...
