Hey Bara, have you ever played the Kraken with a setup of 2xMRM30, 1xLB20X, 4xSL, SE325 and four tons of ammo for both weapons? Really good range buff's from the Kraken itself and you can shoot weapons to 200 (SL's), 400 (LB20X) and 650 (MRM30's) meters with skill nodes. Plus a 95 alpha strike if you get up close. Would love to see a vid of you playing that. ; )

The fun part of running a griffin, is the danger of being blapped. An XL engine, just makes that felling more intense. I have been running griffins as my favorite mech, well since they were released. remember the vapor eagle is just a clan griffin.

So I came back to the game for a few rounds yesterday, and I kept getting my mech stuck on invisible walls! How the hell do you play light mech harass if the minute someone starts shooting at you, your mech stops dead for no reason? Anyone else having these issues? Haven't played in years, so I wouldn't know when it started.
Always have somewhere to go where there is cover. Lights are tough now because so many mechs are quick now. Even 130kph can be too slow when you mediums and even heavies going 100 plus now. Try stealth armor mechs lime the flea20 or locust pirates bane. Slower lights just stick with the team and harass from midline and then when the battle is flowing more try getting i to flanks but ALWAYS keep friends nearish so you can run back for help if being chased. If you havent played since the enginge changes, some of your old favorites may be garbage now. Things like firestarters are trucks now and so slow to manuver.
Yes, there are still invisible walls and sticky terrain in many places. Seems to be worse for some mechs. If I play a Jenner I expect to get hosed by terrain (either unable to jump over things another mech could), or get stick on walls, often. If you have higher ping or a poorer connection it seems to make it worse.
That Javelin on the manifold was a very clever pilot. Thermals, NVG's, didn't matter much; he was always super difficult to see.

Have you ever done a Stealth Pirate's Bane with 4 medium lasers? Give it a gray coat of paint and many shenanigans may be had.
Thats been around since The B33F. But yeah very nasty backstabber especially on this map.
