I think that's going beyond optimism into being suicidal. An Awesome of all things with an XL? The same mech with some of the absolute worst hitboxes in the entire game?? 😅
@@bort6414 Probably depends a lot on the particular mech. I've seen quite a few Clan mechs continue to live and fight on for quite some time without one of their side torsos, even if admittedly their heat management has gone to shit subsequently.
Glad you mentioned the left side mouts. You can tell on the last game that it came into play. Still a great build and works great, just things you have to keep in mind like any build. Great video!
Love my Dragon's and I love the idea of 3 Binary Lasers with a quick laser duration, but that is a rough build that you would need a good team to play with. I love PPCs and AC's when using the mobility of a dragon where you can literally pop your shots and quickly move for cover and/or run evasive maneuvers while popping shots.. But you are a master ace when it comes to MWO, so this build works really well for elite players that know what this mech can and can't do.. Like brawling is not this mechs strong suit, unless you uses its mobility to run around the mech.
Considering what happened at 14:04 and after looking at the score at 17:08, I think the Anni was working for the other side (or just an inexperienced player).
At 5:00 in you pointed at the tonnage and said that was 59.5 kph and talked about dropping armor to increase speed. The stuff was actually almost 84kph and with half a ton you can increase the armor somewhat.
Dragon mech is best mech, ran it all the time 'back in the day.' It's a flanker king. AC10 or LBX10, 6SRM, a little ammo didn't need much, 4MLs, endo, FF, and massive XL engine, running ~105kph. It can hunt everything.
I've been waiting for YEARS for PGI to give the Grand Dragon (7K) the ability to mount MASC, like it should've always been able to. Being able to hit 100+ would give the Dragon much more of a battle niche as the glass cannon that runs down clan mediums.
I remember when Flame and Fang were released. There were no quirks back then. Fang was more Ballistic and Flame was more Energy. I love Energy and hate Ballistics, so I got the Flame. Just looked at the quirks on Flame, and... they're Ballistic. They put Energy quirks on Fang and Ballistic quirks on Flame. I would have been so mad! Glad I stopped playing before that happened.
That Awesome was the definition of an optimist. No radar deprivation, no head armor, and an XL engine... living on the edge!

@@stormthrush37light engines rarely matter when losing a ST ends in death a few seconds later rather than instantly.

That laugh you do ... I wish PGI would make it a war horn. 😂
Duuuuude YIS. I'd buy that.
I’d love to hear “Enemy ‘Mech destroyed” from MW2, that would be dope.

Having full thoughts at the beginning of the vid was really nice
been playing this setup a for a few weeks now and its one of my favorites now.

I miss my morning cuppa Joe. I just dont have the time for it in the AM anymore. Mechwarrior AND coffee? Doubly so.
Nice build, wonder if i could fit them into, my favorites, the ECM Med/Light Mechs.
Mobility is so important to me. Good firepower and armor too, I'll have to try it.

Those are some quick burns alright.
What Betty do you have? How to install it?
gsync that guy was having issues wiht, I always have to alt-enter to window then alt-enter back into full screen or it always just locks at 60fps.
The dragon is a fine mech.

I run my Flame with an AC20 and 2 Snubs...it's brutal when you just peel off 40pts of armor...shot after shot.
16:03 "being locked on..." How do you tell?
I'm a MW5 guy, dipping my toe into MWO and still figuring things out.
You can hear a little chime sound when someone locks you. Hope that helps.
@@ooverlord It does help, thank you kindly.
@@cscrossman You need at least one skill point in radar deprivation, though.
Why do you have a drawing of Burt Reynolds on your screen?
Real question is why does Burt have a picture of me on his wall?!?
It's a shame that almost all the content I find on UA-cam is for Hero/Legendary mechs, seems they are just flat out better that the free ones.
More dragon content please!
Why's that guy complaining about "pros"? Is that not allowed? It's good players that he has a problem with.
Who knows?
I'm in the same unit (unfortunately). He's just a salty bitch.
Haha roger
