DIY Bug Repellant with Essential Oils (Fleas, Ticks, Mosquitos, Gnats!)

Always be sure to use safe, pure Essential Oils!
Protecting your dog from summer insects is a high priority for most pet owners. Although there are many commercial products on the market, many of them contain harmful chemicals. Playing it safe and making your own repellent is an effective way to make sure your dogs (and you) are pesticide free. Citrus oils like Citronella are highly effective without adding any extras to the mix. This recipe uses 3 essential oils ~ Citronella, Cedarwood and a doTerra blend called Citrus Bliss. Along with water and apple cider vinegar. Just a few steps and voila! you have your own bug repellent! Which is safe for your dogs, as well as yourself!

DIY Recipe
1. Start with a 16 ounce glass spray bottle amzn.to/3O5J2zt
2. 1 ½ cups warm water (steep a lemon in it for added citrus)
3. Add 1/2 cup of vinegar (white distilled or apple cider vinegar) amzn.to/46J61aP
4. Add 5 drops of doTerra Citrus Bliss oil blend, 5 drops of Citronella oil and 3 drops of Cedarwood oil
5. Keep refrigerated and shake well before applying to your dog’s coat
