Dr Woodley I am lucky to find your channel. Thanks a lot for empowering us pet parents. I have a 1 year pup 🐶 and I want to do everything for keeping him the healthiest.
Hi, Thanks for watching. I'm glad you found this helpful. Here is a recent webinar on finding the root cause (and prevention) of disease. ua-cam.com/video/Jrukn1wBaCg/v-deo.html
I have 5 dogs. 10 year old German Shepherd/Lab mix. Appreciate every natural prevention or remedy. Commercial pet meds have gotten way too expensive and it seems the side effects are more common and more dangerous
Amazing video, thank you so much, sharing NOW! I live in Tampa Florida in the swamp and I don't use the meds and have never had a case at my rescue. We've been preventing them naturally for over 15 years!!!
Thank you, Dr Woodley! So happy to have found your channel. We have watched this video multiple times and will take the information you shared to discuss with our holistic vet (AND share with friends!). We live in Queensland, Australia. It's so heartening to hear a vet who is clear and balanced, fearless and compassionate. Thanks again! 🥰
I truly believe the preventative started my girl with having seizures. I have always tried since to use repellents that are safe for pets. I am close to a woods and drainage stream, and I am in Ohio, so I worry, but I just do what I can.
I am so thankful that I stumbled upon this video! I have had so many questions, and have worried about heartworm for the last number of years with all of my dogs. This was the most clearly explained video I have ever seen! And the suggestions were SOOO, very helpful! Thank you, thank you! I want to do everything I can to protect my pet, yet not expose him to unnecessary chemicals… You really helped me find the balance in this video. Definitely a subscriber from now on! ❤
Hi, Thank you for your kind message. We appreciate you watching and learning more for your pets. We also have many good articles and information on our blog post page here: thenaturalpetdoctor.com/blog/
This is something I have been thinking about for the last day or so... Haven't even watched the video yet. Regardless, I already know I LOVE THIS WOMAN!!!! Thanks Doc!!!
It absolutely works for getting rid of worms I started 3 new kittens on it and have used it on my other cats as well. They’ve been passing them in their poop and have puked several up. However be extremely careful you can apply it topically for ticks and fleas. But if they inhale it… it’s not good. I have a vet appointment tomorrow as 1 kitten she likes to groom the others and I’m 99% sure the cough she got came from inhaling it off the others hair. If you put it on furniture definitely keep the cats or dogs off or out of that room till it’s cleaned or vacuumed off. Before I figured it out I was sooo worried she was sick but the other 2 kittens are fine as they are in quarantine together from my other cats. Just took them in on Monday.

Thank you for this informative video. There are two new puppies in the home (Texas) and very conflicted about Heartworm meds, etc. BTW love you mentioned Dr. Falconer.
Unless you want to have to treat your dog for heartworms you better be putting them on ivermectin monthy. The treatment for heartworms is horrible, painful and expensive. I have had many dogs in my life and no issues with them given a micro dose of ivermectin monthly.
@@ckombe00 feed store look for cattle and swine 1% in solution injectable. You put in in their mouth not inject it. My fox terier weights 24 lbs and gets 6 micro liters. That is 6 tiny marks on a 1 cc insulin syringe. Take off the needle before trying to put it in the dogs mouth or risk the needle coming off in their mouth. The math is something like .25 micro litter per lb of body weight. I had a MD doctor help me do the conversion from a heart guard chewable to 1% liquid solution. Been doing it for about 20 years and many dogs without issue but you are doing it at your own risk.certain breeds like collies can die from ivermectin, do your home work and if its a mutt it can have collie or other breed that can have a reaction to it so be careful and smart. Good luck
Hi DR Woodley, thanks very much for this informative video. Are there any heartworm preventives with just milbemycin, other than pure interceptor. Its getting harder to purchase interceptor here in Asia ! Appreciate your advice!
Do you have any suggestions on natural ways to treat heartworm? I was reading about black walnut and artermisia along with coq10, hawthorn, and mullein to treat... thoughts? I have a rescue from Texas at stage 2. He was so emanciated, he almost died so not wanting to put him through injections...
I live in Louisiana & my dog has hemangiosarcoma, should I give her just ivermectin in heart guard? She has been off since September 2023! But she only goes out to bathroom but I live in rural area! She is doing terrific now like she is completely healthy! Acts like doesn’t have cancer! But she is only on holistic, natural foods and TCVM recommended medication and supplements! But what do I give her come February! Our spring starts then & misquotes are prevalent! When do I start on what? What is also a holistic spray as prevention?
My 80-pound, seven-year-old lab mix has been having seizures for a few months, averaging episodes every 3 weeks, each fit lasting one to four minutes. A switch to a carnivore diet, cessation of Heartgard and Nexgard, and running three miles everyday tethered to my e-bike may be what has lessened the seizures to one minute. I'm lookin for heartworm and flea/tick preventative replacements. Thanks.
Thanks for watching and I'm sorry to hear about your lab and the seizures. Nexgard unfortunately can cause these episodes, but you are on the right path. Here's another blog post on detoxing which can help too in these situations: thenaturalpetdoctor.com/holistic-pet-care-a-guide-to-safely-detoxing-dogs-and-cats/
@@thenaturalpetdoctor I've been feeding him meat, almost exclusively, and it seems to be lessening the severity of his seizures. They've gone from four minutes to less than two. I'm not sure what to do about the absence of HeartGard and Nexgard that are said to possibly cause the seizures. I've learned of the use of black walnut oil, and diatomaceous earth as preventatives.
Well, THAT was short-lived. Skeeter suffered a record ten seizures in a 12-hour period, just the other day, and now exhibits symptoms of having had a stroke. He's too unstable to allow him to run with the bike. Also, he's less anxious about not being able to go. He's a different dog... palsied, falling down, stumbling, less protective. I'm hoping that he'll overcome the affliction.
Feeding a baked chicken quarter with Kibbles n' Bits and an eighth of a small can of Pedigree for micro-nutrients, twice a day. He weighs 85 pounds and is seven years old.. I'm hopeful.
@lonniepee9804 why bake it ? Its better raw plus cooked chicken bones get brittle and sharp as raw bones are ok to give to them! Raw Chicken harts livers & gizzards are very good also to mix in! Any Organ meat!
I get my heartworm prevention from Pet Bucket (in the UK). I pay half price vs getting it from a veterinarian in the U.S. (no shipping) They do not carry Interceptor, but they do carry Sentinel Spectrum. My question, “Is this comparable to Interceptor?” Thanks
Thank you so much for the balanced, well thought out info. I have a 7.5lb Havanese and we live in Eastern Iowa. Would you recommend Heartgard, Interceptor, or something else? I’m also wondering how dangerous roundworms, hookworms, etc are since heartgard only protects against heartworms from my understanding. Any insight is much appreciated!
From my research, I believe it's Praziquantel that works on those worms. Interceptor Plus has both Praziquantel and the heartworm drug Milbemycin Oxime but the dose is way too much to use each month for heartworm as they suggest, so I'm trying my best to try and buy the drugs separately. It's hard here in Australia.
Hello 👋,,my dog is 5 , Chi and pom,,he got diagnosed last week with heartworms,,Can l give him a heartworm preventative? He Starts treatment on June 22,,lm so worried
Here's more information on detoxing that you can check out with a link to other products that have milk thistle and other remedies to support your pets. I can't give a specific dosage since your pup's not a patient, but the dose for milk thistle is 60mg/kg per day to help you get started.
I live in Granite City Illinois next to St Louis Missouri and I guess it's a high risk of mosquitoes Sunday and I really don't want him taking this he's on a slow kill took his first pill today
Thank you for the detailed overview. For my CAT w/ outdoor access in the San Diego area, seems like summer months are worth covering for (when temps are above 57 degrees day/night for a few months). I'm torn between (my vet recommended) Revolution + and Intercept tablets this video recommends.
Thanks for the information on heart worm stages. I live in eastern Oregon where it gets above 64 only in the summer, and I'm not sure if the lows are always above 64 degrees. I will check out the natural remedies or get the vet to prescribe a low dose heart worm preventative for 3 months. I am more familiar with ivermectin and prefer that drug having used it on myself. In the winter, it gets cold here because of the wind.

Hi, thanks for your message and for watching this video. You can find some additional information on Heartworm prevention at our blog post page here. thenaturalpetdoctor.com/natural-heartworm-prevention-for-dogs-cats/
That was so great. Thank you. I've been so worried about my dog. I took her off Nexgard after 20 months of her being on it since a puppy. I didn't give her the dose due on 15th May and she's had nothing since. Not knowing what to do, and finally finding out about Interceptor (except we only seem to have Interceptor plus here in Australia😢). We have when in our winter since June, so that's why I thought it was safe to stop Nexgard in May while I worked out what to do. I now have the meds coming this week. It's impossible to get my dog to a vet for a blood test before putting her on the meds because she's really hard to control and nobody can get near her anytime let alone a vet 😢However, I'm thinking it's unlikely she's carrying heartworm. Can you put my mind at ease about this ? I live in mid NSW where we have a mild temperature. Our winters are between 4-19 degrees Celsius. I'm so sorry for the long post, but I've been so worried about not having her protected, but I wanted to get her off Nexgard as quickly as possible once I learnt how bad it is.
I live in South Carolina and I’ve got a creek in front of my house. That’s where they drink that water. He’s always been outside care and I had to bring him in so I need help now not a prevented
Me too I adopted a little Frenchy who has a pulmonary stenosis what is the blockage. They told me she has a hospice case I have had her for six months and recently she has gone downhill fast I’m thinking her blockage is heartworm.. I have read that diatomaceous earth doesn’t penetrate hw What can we use I have wormwood black walnut and clove but she’s at the point where she doesn’t want to eat and it’s too strong to put in a syringe 😞
Hi Dr. Woodley, Thank you for this wonderful informative video! I live in a high risk state for heart worm. In the Safe Heart Protocol you mentioned that the dosage for Interceptor is 0.05mg/pound. What is the recommended dosage if using Heartgard? Thank you.
You indicated that we should/could use the Animal Essentials detox for 5 days after using any medicines. Would you suggest that this detox support should/could be given on a daily basis? Would it be helpful due to all of the environmental toxins they are exposed to even if we are not giving them medicine or commercial food?
Thanks for watching! You can use it more frequently. Here's a blog post on detoxing: thenaturalpetdoctor.com/holistic-pet-care-a-guide-to-safely-detoxing-dogs-and-cats/
There's not a lot of studies around that, so I wouldn't rely on that to naturally kill heartworms. If your pet is positive, I recommend working with a holistic vet. Many do telehealth consults and you can search for one here ahvma.org.
@@thenaturalpetdoctorDE is great also. not a lot of studies for a reason. it’s effective and cheap so they don’t need want everyone to know about it. u know the system works doc. they only put out there what they want u to know about! keep u focused in one direction or train of thought so u don’t go outside of that. same goes for humans smh.

I live in the red areas. I’ve been giving the milk thistle when I give the meds. They eat farmers dog and 1 ingredient treats meat only. What is the safest conventional med? Right now they are on triflexis. I just get so scared after watching seizure videos of pets on it. One month in the winter I was scared seeing those videos and stopped it but there’s too many risk in the summer. I wish I lived in a cold state. Should I switch to the heartguard in separate meds from flea and use wondercide? I spray the yard one outside. Thanks so much for your videos.
I don’t recommend all in one combos - lots of chemicals and can come with increased risk of side effects. Interceptor tends to be one of the safer heartworm meds, especially for pets who may have the genetic mutation MDR1. Hope that helps!
I have to admit that even though I can sense that very good info is being provided here, a lot of it is quite confusing. I'm still not clear on when and how often I should give a preventative to my dog even with knowing (according to the map) cases for heartworm are low. Also, I've often wondered why pet parents sometimes get criticized by their regular Vets for using the Internet for information when such good and helpful information is COMING from actual Vets, especially when they're integrative/holistic vets!
Hi Dr. Woodley, Could you provide the formula or the recommended dosage amount per pound for Noromectin (ivermectin) I have the 1% injectable solution that I plan on injecting into my dogs food.
Thank you so much for this information! I live in a high risk area and my pup has had reactions to THREE flea/tick/HW meds. We just changed her yesterday to straight ivermectin from her compounding pharmacy. On the safe detox protocol, do you recommend doing vit E AND animal essentials detox blend, or just one of those at a time? Thank you!!
What is the most recommended for a small poodle in Florida? Mine is 11lbs. She hasn’t had anything I’m the last 3 months. Does ivermectin work on heart worms? I noticed she looses her appetite for weeks after treatment of intestinal worms and heart worm. It’s impossible to keep a healthy pet if she has anorexia after treatment.
My dog is 57 lbs in human diagnosed with it Sunday what is the best medicine for him He's a bully dog I wanted to keep it more natural how do you say once a month for a year and then Injustice what do you think's best for us
Hi, In the 'Safe Heart Protocol' you had mentioned the Antigen (snap blood test done in clinic) should be done every 6 months. Just to be clear, isn't it the Microfiliria blood test (test that is sent to the lab) need to be taken every 6 months? Sorry for the confusion...
I know this is an old thread but I have a question. We adopted a Collie two years ago, that was rescued from a breeder in Tennessee. She tested negative for heartworm (Nov 2021) by the rescue. When we adopted her we took her to our vet and she again tested negative for heartworm (Jan 2022). During our annual exam in Dec 2022, she again tested negative for heartworm. (That’s 3 negative tests). However, in December 2023 she tested positive and we are now undergoing heartworm treatment. Everyone is telling us it’s unlikely that the heartworm existed but was I detectable for two years but at the same time her blood has shown no microfilaria the entire time, even when the recent antigen test came back positive. She has been on interceptor plus administered monthly and at most we would have been off only a few days. We do not understand how it either went undetected for two years or she became infected while on interceptor plus. Any insights you can give us?
I think that puppy would have more of a chance surviving. The things is, when dogs do get sick, if they don't have the vehicle to heal itself, they'll suffer. If your dogs immune is as strong as you say it is, then it has less chance of suffering. I've known dogs to heal from HW, the key is in getting them tested
My vets never mention the cats needing heartworm meds even though I have 5 cats. They only push for flea/tick/heartworm medicine every month for my 3 Huskies
Actually you can grind raw unsalted pumpkin seeds to fine powder and add to food, hookworms will be paralyzed and eliminated from body. Tsp per 10 lbs body weight.
Thank you so much for this info and all the info you share! I wasn't clear on if using a natural preventative (ex: Clean Heart) was needed year round in low-med risk areas. I live in MN so I assume that isn't something I need to use during our frozen tundra months, just like the meds...is that accurate?
You’re 100% correct that in a cold area like MN winters (those are really cold!), you don’t need to use heartworm preventatives because there are no mosquitoes at that time of year.
I have Lyme and have become phobic about biting insects. Everyone talks about ticks and so do I, but along with ticks, fleas, spiders, ants, and especially mosquitoes can cause vector-borne illnesses. I just read that the mosquito is the leading cause of death in the world. Think Malaria. It’s awful, because I happen to have a live version a co-infection of Lyme, Babesia, is first cousin of Malaria, and I’ve been through all the symptoms of malaria; the uncontrollable shakes, fevers, sweats, etc. My doctor has never seen this before, and I get it from volunteering!
I was told by the breeder fenbendazole in combination with ivermectin for my 10-11 lbs poodle. However, she gets anorexic after I give her those meds. What can I do?
There can be many reasons, even being that it's sometimes a delicacy for them😜 However, I always recommend looking at the pillars and making sure that their gut health is healthy. Here's a video to help guide you: thenaturalpetdoctor.com/how-to-optimize-gut-health-in-dogs-and-cats/
Im so confused!! My conventional vet told me to give my 4 months, 3lbs puppy, Heartguard, and after researching this medication i found its a neurotoxin that can cause neurological and liver issues. My pup eats a balance home cooked diet, that includes small portion of carbs, veggies a two proteins( generally ground turkey and ground beef liver). I live in Florida, in an apartment, and im terrify of this disease. The idea of poisoning my pet with the commercial medication is awful too. My only option is either stay indoors 24/7 or risk to give him natural preventive not knowing if it work. I like the idea if small amounts of garlic in his food, but again many vets say garlic is toxic. I read people use a brewers yeast recipe with excellent results. PLEASE HELP. Can i give small amounts of garlic to a 3lbs puppy?
The study that said Garlic was bad, was extremely flawed, look it up.🥴 I give garlic to my 3 Chihuahuas and doing well. I also include Organic ACV in meals and so far 3 years No Fleas. For Tick repellent, I make my own. Brewers yeast with garlic many people use. ( I used to work in a large private Pet store and we always kept that well stocked, that was 30 years ago and it's still around and being used)😊
@@inix9748 You can buy Brewers yeast with garlic in tablet form in pet stores. ( dogs of Asian descent don't tolerate garlic, so keep this in mind) I put Fresh chopped garlic after its sat at room temp for 10-15 minutes in my Dogs raw meat. I also add Organic ACV with the mother in tiny portions to my 3 Chihuahuas and a larger portion to my Chow Chow meals. No Fleas. I made a homemade tick repellent spray,,ACV/H2O Rose Geranium essential oil, and Lemongrass. Shake well before use.
My dog rascal has heartworms very very bad case I took him to the emergence vet they said wen they put under the telascop9they could emedietly see them didn't have any money then and the the money I was suppote to get I'm not getting after all I've call a few local vets got no response back I'm on a bad situation and I don't won't him to die what can I do with no money
I just found your channel. I can't afford the simpatico trio I have been using for my rat terrier. I watched your flea/tick natural solutions video and can do that. In this video are you saying that I can give my dog Heart guard every 45 or 60 days?
The meds are being used off label but they technically last for 55 days. So if you're in a high risk area you can definitely extend it out a little bit more and then I of course recommend detox when you have to use the drugs. Here's a blog post that provides more information on that: thenaturalpetdoctor.com/holistic-pet-care-a-guide-to-safely-detoxing-dogs-and-cats/
Can I hesitating to give him the big pill cuz I don't know what to do he went there cuz he couldn't poop soup bone little pieces in the colon they got it out but he's on medicine now
My cat is having breathing problems. I’ve tried all kind of breathing things to help him naturally I’ve gave him antibiotics and I think that he has Heartworms now he was bitten by some animal and I think we have foxes around here and it gave him a bad infection in his ear and then I gave him extra round of antibiotics to give them something for breathing problems, therapy problems nothings working he keeps his mouth open. I heard him cough a couple times, and he has no energy. so I need to know what to do now that he has Heartworms not a prevention. All this information is just so so confusing
Your cat may have a hairball trying to come out. Get hairball treats and feed tuna and salmon. Believe me when I tell you what hairballs can cause. Foaming at the mouth extremely hard to breathe, gagging coughing not wanting to eat. Try some coconut oil on your fingertips and put in the cats mouth. Or try putting small amount in tuna or salmon. 😮
Did your vet diagnose your cat with heartworms? What did your vet say about bite wound? Maybe bloodwork is needed? I'm sorry--your writing is hard to make sense of.
Does Heartgard and Interceptor without the extra stuff to kill other types of worms still have the dosage too high? What I did was go to a pharmacist to compound the minimum dose needed based on my dog’s weight.
Thanks for posting this. SVP pharmacy online has an ivermectin only that you can order. I would have never thought of it without this comment! @angelawallace5413

Where can I have the Milbemycin compounded to a safer amount. As interceptor it is a very small pill to try to break into the right dosage. Have you heard of any dogs still contracting heartworm on this dosage if consistently given?
I just got my first dog within the first two days he ripped open his paw pad that healed pretty fast but now it’s a couple weeks later now he has heart worms vets are way to damn much so I’m trying anting to treat the worms
I went to the vet with my dog, and the vet said he hadn't seen a dog that old that did not have some signs of hartworms. I was so proud to tell them that i put a small piece of flat leaf parsley in the water bowl for hartworms and they are looking at each other and looking at me funny and the next time i went in they had added to the poster on the wall on what to never give your dogs was parsley. Wtf.
You still would want to have a conversation with your vet about the prevalence of heartworm in your area and you can follow the guidelines on the temperatures for the lifecycle of mosquitoes. I hope that helps!
My dog has been on Heartgard plus since he was 3 months old. My vets have NEVER tested him for heartworms. I really don't want to give him anymore Heartgard because of all the side effects. Unfortunately, we live in Alabama, so I don't know what to do. He is past due to do his Heartgard.
Can someone please help me 🙏😢 for the last 2 days natural lawyers for my dog on me drugs up all the time he's a very active dog I have a bully can someone please help before I end up this big pill that they gave him for heartworms
I thought citronella was bad for pets. Can you clarify? My doggie had a reaction last fall to interceptor plus which she had been on for years. Evidently she developed an allergy and interceptor attacked her liver and after 4 days in the hospital she has recovered after 6 months. I'm in Colorado too and will never give her heartworm meds again. Please clarify on the citronella. Thank you!

Because I say that your dog cannot be accurate run you have to become the whole time over a year is kind of going to be hard cuz sometimes he likes to run and play 😢 so what should I do the 6 tablets to kill the baby worms Indian going to get another 6 tablets he was not his it's like he was a zombie
After your dog gets heart worms and you see how painful and horrible the treatment is you wont question giving your dog ivermectin in a micro dose monthly. I have owned many dogs in my 57 years of life and if you live in the south and arent using ivermectin as a heart worm preventative you will pay the fiddler sooner or later if you dog goes outside. Cats who are inside are a different story.
@@JedStevens1234 i give my 23 lb fox terrier 3 microliters which is 3 marks on a 1 CC/ml insulin syringe of cattle and swine ivermectin 1% solution by mouth. After drawing it with a needle remove the needle before attempting to shoot it in the dogs mouth or you risk the needle coming off in the mouth. A doctor helped me do the math to figure dose per lb for dogs but do this at your own risk. The factor is like .0130 per pound. Monthly. Do some homework, certain collie breeds can die from ivermectin so be for warned.

Sorry for your loss. Im dealing with lyme myself and wondering if my dog has it. Did Elisa test confirm lyme for your dog? My elisa was negative, my western blot positive. My dogs elisa negative also. I hate pet insecticides but have been using them sparingly since our 2 nd home is in TN.

It's so heartening to hear a vet who is clear and balanced, fearless and compassionate. Thanks again! 🥰
You are welcome! I'm happy to hear you found this helpful :)
I truly believe the preventative started my girl with having seizures. I have always tried since to use repellents that are safe for pets. I am close to a woods and drainage stream, and I am in Ohio, so I worry, but I just do what I can.
What preventive did you use? Sorry to ask but one of my American Bully babies has notoriously bad seizures
Thank you for letting me know this is helpful!
I am so grateful, and so impressed, with your knowledge, your explanations, your good sense. Thank you!
Hi, Thank you for your kind message. We appreciate you watching and learning more for your pets. We also have many good articles and information on our blog post page here: thenaturalpetdoctor.com/blog/

Haven't even watched the video yet.
Regardless, I already know I LOVE THIS WOMAN!!!! Thanks Doc!!!
Thanks for the great feedback and definitely check out the video for more information to help your pets!

Glad you found the information you were looking for!
Excellent site. Glad I found it. Can't improve on compliments already posted. Many thanks as well for the food guide.
You're welcome! Thanks for your feedback and for wanting the best for your pets!
We should have more vets like you around, it is so hard to get the required support we need for our pets.
What are your thoughts on diatomaceous earth for detox & boost their immune system? Thank you! 🌸
Thank you! I was going to ask the Dr about that. 😊greetings from BAKERSFIELD, california.

Unless you want to have to treat your dog for heartworms you better be putting them on ivermectin monthy. The treatment for heartworms is horrible, painful and expensive. I have had many dogs in my life and no issues with them given a micro dose of ivermectin monthly.
@@GregariousAntithesishey Greg, where can I get ivermectin from?
Good luck
Thank you so much! Very informative!

Hi DR Woodley, thanks very much for this informative video. Are there any heartworm preventives with just milbemycin, other than pure interceptor. Its getting harder to purchase interceptor here in Asia ! Appreciate your advice!
I am in Australia, and you cannot find any of these tablets without the Plus.
I live in Arkansas we have tons of mosquitoes and I have extremely large dogs that are very expensive to treat for heartworms prevention

I love it! I have a 6mo Yorkie and we live in Puerto Rico, mosquito city in the summer. Yes I am concerned, but THANK YOU!
How much milk thistle should I give my 5yr old great pyrenees, weighing 120#

Can diatomaceous earth help with heartworms?
There's not a lot of studies around that, so I wouldn't rely on that to naturally kill heartworms. If your pet is positive, I recommend working with a holistic vet. Many do telehealth consults and you can search for one here ahvma.org.

Because they don't you thinking for yourself.
Enjoy your boosters
Same, I still feel confused and unsure what to do.

What is the most recommended for a small poodle in Florida? Mine is 11lbs. She hasn’t had anything I’m the last 3 months. Does ivermectin work on heart worms?
My 16month pug had focal seizure on interceptorvplus and vctra suppossed to move to Fl to be near my family I am afraid to use these drugs rhanks
So a puppy who has eaten fresh food since puppy and has a healthy immune system it can fight it off if they ever get it ?
No, any dog can get it that isn’t properly protected can get it
Don’t matter how healthy
I think that puppy would have more of a chance surviving. The things is, when dogs do get sick, if they don't have the vehicle to heal itself, they'll suffer. If your dogs immune is as strong as you say it is, then it has less chance of suffering. I've known dogs to heal from HW, the key is in getting them tested
My vets never mention the cats needing heartworm meds even though I have 5 cats. They only push for flea/tick/heartworm medicine every month for my 3 Huskies
Great video. I live in SC and have a 14 week old puppy that has hook worms. Vet recommends symperco trio. What should I do?

Thank you so much for everything 🙏
My dogs eat rabbit poop in the yard 😜 what can I do to prevent or is this something I shouldn’t worry about.
Can you tell me where you had that compounded? I can't find a vet pharmacist who will compound.
