I feel it bro. I drive for jb hunt and go to the mountains every night n its sad and lonely. But, there is light at the end of the tunnel, hot shot trucking is next!
Smart. They beefed up capacity during covid and now they are trying to shed drivers without having to layoff, or fire. It's going to save them a ton on their insurance, and Unimployment insurance payouts. It's strictly business.
Hope this isn't preachy, but stuff like this is why i got trucker friends who swapped to stuff like instacart, doordash, any and all those apps and after learning markets best they could so pay is worth it couldn't be happier. By no means saying go that route, but i guess point is just always look for opportunities when employer steps out of bounds, and once you get in the habit never ever stop looking.
@@DopeStrings Then you are winning 👍 One way i look at stuff like this is it annoys me at the time but if i can manage it that secures my own job because i know it has to annoy everyone, so at end of the day it can be a win even if its annoying as can be in the initial moment.
It’s stupid to everyone who drives a truck for prime, but the ones who are unwilling or unable to drive it makes so much sense. Here we are again, those who dont drive making decisions for those who do
I didn’t get depressed at all during OTR I just went local after a few years because I hated the snow 😂. They tried that camera sht at my job & lost drivers. They ended up pulling them out on the third week!!!
@ this is my 3rd carrier. Pam transport is strict on dot clocks. A 15min pretrip is all thats legally required. I even had indepth discussion with this at prime logs
Dang man. It’s easy to sit here and say quit and go somewhere else, but what you are describing is not the same Prime inc I enjoyed working with. If you are considering your options, you’ll make just as much money anywhere else as you are at Prime. Not that the grass is greener, but there are countless options out there, for all of us.
Leverage ? lol they have the deciding factor if they think it should’ve been done differently guess what your case is denied . It doesn’t matter what the driver say at the end of the day.
@DopeStrings your both right and wrong, but it depends on the offense. Manual traffic orders override this when police are on the scene and usher you to pass in hazard zones, power outages or barricaded sites and is 100% disputable, and this is FACT! Company rules do not supercede local, county, state and federal law.
@ guess what police aren’t going to be on the scene of a driver picking up someone off the floor . Moving from one lane to another or being already in the intersection before the light turns red . Sounds good tho . So it’s still safety job at the end of the day lol
@@DopeStrings Leverage is taking your skills to another company. Whining is . Move elsewhere, once they lose enough drivers that rubbish will be reversed and Robert Lowell will know his people screwed the pooch. Obviously, you can bend a knee and whine on YT. Yet, actions > words.
Mental Health is EXTREMELY important. if Prime isnt giving that to you, then move to another company. Lifes too short.

@DopeStrings ah ok. Hope u get past it. Jesus loves you. God bless.

They want to annoy drivers so they'll quit. They want less drivers, and I think it's a financial decision.

What about when there’s 30 or 50 pages that we have to upload one by one? Those are the days that are fun..
If safety did their job in the first place the cameras wouldn’t be needed.

You are not required to do a pre-trip or a post trip. You only have to do one legally.. I only do 20 minute pre-trips every day.
