Aside from just getting stronger, more muscular, and looking leaner, maintaining healthy testosterone levels with benefit your heart, your bones, your mood, and even your verbal memory and reasoning skills.
This is because testosterone is the primary male sex hormone. It’s also known as an “androgen,” which is a steroid hormone that promotes the development of masculine characteristics. To better understand exactly what testosterone does inside your body, we’ll first have to look at how it's made. And the process of creating testosterone actually starts in the hypothalamus, which is the part of your brain that you can view as the master regulator of your hormones. The hypothalamus releases gonadotropin-releasing hormone which stimulates the pituitary gland to release luteinizing hormone and follicle-stimulating hormone. Both luteinizing hormone and follicle-stimulating hormone are important for male hormonal and sexual health although each are important for their own reasons.
For example Luteinizing hormone is important because it stimulates something within your testes known as a “steroidogenic acute regulatory protein.” This starts the conversion of cholesterol to steroids, more specifically androgens. So, in case you're confused the answer is yes testosterone IS made out of cholesterol. That’s one reason research indicates diets low in cholesterol are terrible for your testosterone levels. (1). They literally crush your testosterone. For example, a study found a direct correlation between cholesterol intake and testosterone. The more cholesterol people ate, the higher their testosterone went. (2))
Now Follicle-stimulating hormone, is less important for hormone production than luteinizing hormone, but it's crucial from a reproductive perspective because it stimulates your body to produce sperm. The testes of the average healthy male produce around four to nine milligrams of testosterone per day. This testosterone production is controlled by a negative feedback loop. This negative feedback loop measures androgen and estrogen levels in the body. That’s done to make sure your hormone levels stay within a certain range. When your body senses testosterone levels have reached the upper range, the hypothalamus stops stimulating the pituitary gland to release Luteinizing hormone and follicle stimulating hormone because they're no longer needed for more testosterone and sperm production. But in a normal scenario, when the lower end of that range is reached your body will release more Luteinizing hormone and Follicle stimulating hormone to increase testosterone and sperm production.
Unfortunately if for whatever reason this process is impaired you can suffer from low testosterone. Things that may cause that to happen include poor health, poor nutritional status, or a gonadal disorder. it's also important to realize that not all testosterone that your body makes actually impacts your body in the way testosterone is supposed to impact your body. A big reason for this is that a part of your testosterone gets converted into estrogen on a daily basis, and as most of you already know, estrogen is the primary female sex hormone, that is also of course present in men in more limited quantities. Testosterone is converted into estrogen primarily through the aromatization process. And don't get me wrong, this process isn't inherently bad. In fact, estrogen is vital for regulating your libido, erectile function, and the development of sperm cells. It only becomes an issue if too much of your testosterone gets converted into estrogen. Bodybuilders that abuse steroids routinely run into this issue where they jack up their testosterone, then a percentage of that testosterone gets converted into estrogen, and they end up with issues like gynecomastia. That’s one reason bodybuilders often take anti-aromatase pharmaceuticals like Arimidex. Arimidex helps prevent so much testosterone from turning into estrogen helping keep their testosterone levels high while maintaining more normal estrogen levels.
It’s also important to note that this aromatization process primarily takes place within body fat, which is why overweight and obese people tend to have higher estrogen levels and lower testosterone. Now, aside from being converted into estrogen, about ten percent of the testosterone in your body gets converted by an enzyme known as 5-alpha reductase into dihydrotestosterone also known as DHT. While testosterone is known for its anabolic muscle building effects, DHT is more androgenic which means that it has more impact on things like beard growth, body hair growth, Adam's apple size, and the pitch of your voice...

    4. Interesting randomized, double-blind study published in the Journal of Clinical Endocrinology and Metabolism. In this study researchers blocked the natural testosterone production in a group of young men with something known as a gonadotropin-releasing hormone agonist. This means they blocked the release of Follicle stimulating hormone and Luetenizeing hormone, which, again are needed to stimulate testosterone production. From there, the researchers divided these men that could no longer properly produce testosterone into separate groups and they treated each of them with one of five doses of testosterone enanthate each week. These doses were 25... 50.... 125.... 300.... or 600 milligrams. As you can see there there was a tight link between testosterone and changes in body fat levels after 20 weeks. The low-testosterone group experienced fat gain - especially around their waists - while the high-testosterone subjects shredded fat.

All I ever see is people on bodybuilding forums saying that I should be around 500-600 at my age, and that the range of 250-900 that doctors give is bogus because it includes older people.

Now what does testosterone have to do with bodybuilding besides it being a steroid, we know it helps with building muscle and stimulating the muscle but is that a solution? I wouldn't say so besides the recovery benefits of testosterone but other things like collagen and whey protein does a better job at it.

you have artificial testosterone and then experimental substances that exploit body's reaction to testosterone (steroids). People commonly make the mistake and call everything a steroid.
You want to stay away completely from steroids, because those can severely and irreversibly damage your body.
Testosterone replacements, however, can improve your health and overall experience that you're getting from being alive.
You can get tablets (hard on liver), creams (not so efficient) and injectables (recquires an elaborate approach)

If someone doesn't even know the proper names for things, how can you trust them to talk authoritatively on them? Find someone who actually knows what they are talking about. There is plenty of good information out there, just not here.

    • @Wide_leaf_indica710
      @Wide_leaf_indica710 Рік тому

First your body will stop making its own and then your levels will most likely go up from the levels you was at naturally, and a potion of it will be turned to estrogen but that happens naturally also. It's just important to not take to much testosterone. You can make sure of that with starting low and doing blood work every couple months before increasing the dose.

Forgot to mention the face bloat. Now before all the experts chime in and say it was my Estradiol levels let me 1st say that I messed around with my trt protocol in every way possible from changing the weekly T mg’s everywhere from high as 200mg a week to as low as 100mg and everything in between.. I also adjusted my E blocker multiple times. Even went as far as tanking my E completely but nothing would ever fix the face bloat. At my most sustained period my blood work was regularly showing that my E levels were within the range my Dr wanted it at, not to high and not too low but still had face bloat. After multiple years of trying to fix this issue I just decided to get off the treatment all together and my face returned to normal soon after. I’ve also read that others have struggled with the same moon face issue 🤦‍♂️

sure you can loose that fat and become mr. Muscles, if you persist...with having fat it's all a bit harder as the hormones that fat cells produce will make your will to workout go down and your will to eat carbs go up. My advice, work more often on the largest muscles (cos they burn most of your calories) and eat protein all day long (don't care what form, just keep carbs on the lowest amounts that you posibly can, substitute with good fats for energy instead). I lost 16 kilos (like 30 pounds) of fat and put on 8 kilos of muscle all in one month and 2 weeks! But I was on Testosterone propionate injections. But still...I went from a fat man to a good looking bloke in under 6 weeks time! ;) (low carbs is key and eat below your daily caloric maintanance number - work it out, get an app, it works 100%). And adjust everything (nutrition/workout routines) on your results/how your body responds. Mind over matter until the finish line, hah.

I've been on a calorie deficit plan to lose weight while training in the gym, lost over 3 stone but now I want to build muscle but I don't want to gain on the waist if possible , this seems to be very difficult, im struggling with wanting something to eat thats sweet and bad 😄, I've been on this plan for about 20 weeks and loving it apart from the food cravings , I am currently adding food to come out of the deficit but it's difficult 😅. I do hold fat around the chest area, would a testosterone supplement maybe help me shred ?

Before I even watch this video I know they are not going to talk about the real health risks that are associated with steroids. Which is the fact that when a person does even one cycle of an outside source of testosterone better known as steroids it genetically alters the blood in such a way the Red Cross then deems it as being medically useless for the rest of their life meaning they can never legally donate a pint of blood at any Red Cross Ctr. in the world. Keep in mind The body has over 60,000 miles of area that blood can travel through within it that is enough distance to circumference the world twice so what in the world is good physically mentally financially spiritually beneficial and rewarding about one poisoning their own blood Highway around the world many years before I found out about these facts. The one reason I would definitely never do know steroids is because of the sexual side effects it shrinks your testicles. Because when you do an outside source of testosterone your body thinks it doesn't need to release any more testosterone making the testicles shrivel up like raisins. So the next time you see somebody looking like they did steroids ask them how their balls are .

Getting old sucks especially if You were athletic . Your T crashes and contrary to popular beliefs its NOT easy to raise it naturally . However diet is key along with physical fitness. Muscle tissue shrinks rapidly sometimes in a week or two. On year or hard work can go away in 2 weeks. it is most frustrating.
