@cinthiabela8408 absolutely!!!!! Someone that is going to unalive themself is not going to brag about it or make it a big thing. They are just going to do it and not tell a soul beforehand. Trust me I know from close personal experience unfortunately. My cousin and one of my good friends unalived themselves. There was no telling anyone they were thinking about it or anything like that. They just did it. It was absolutely heartbreaking. People like to say that to try and manipulate others but almost never follow thru.

@@cinthiabela8408The best response to this is to call the police and leave anyway. They're expecting that this threat will keep the person from leaving because most people have compassion. But it's better not to let that sort of thing work, or they'll do it every single time.

I feel like the crimes of passion plea shouldn’t be allowed when it’s a murder trial. For example…you found out your ex was cheating and in a sudden rush of emotion, you bust his car windows and immediately regret it? I get that. Snapping and murdering someone? Nah. You are a danger to society and need to be locked away somewhere.

Kendall, when I saw this video posted, my jaw dropped! Crystal was my realtor. She was one of the sweetest people I’ve ever met. This happened a few months after my husband and I worked with her. I am so terribly sad for her family, especially her children who now don’t have their mother or their father. Although it does seem convenient that Steven did this right before Hurricane Harvey, everyone had been told it wasn’t going to be a big storm, so that’s why so many stayed at home and had to be rescued by boat. It very well could’ve been pre-meditated though considering the threats he had made in the past. Rest in Peace, Crystal! You are loved and missed by so many.

RIP Crystal, and I hope those children are able to heal from this horrible tragedy.

Crystal's story and death just shatters my heart. As someone who overcame so much and really made a life for herself and her family, to be taken out so brutally and needlessly by the father of her beloved children...it's just unfathomable. My daughters are close to the age her daughters were at that time, and for them, I'm just so sorry. Loosing a mother is the hardest thing, loosing a mother as a young child is an unbelievable challenge, but loosing her at the hands of their dad... i have no words. I can't begin to imagine and comprehend the sheer terror that must have been running through Crystal when she realised what he was doing - i could cry just thinking about it. I wish those two precious girls nothing but the best, to find strenght in themselves and in each other, and to always know how much their mom loved them ❤

As someone who grew up in that area and was there from Allison through Harvey and the big ice storm, many people didn't think that Harvey would be as bad as it was. And the officials were telling a lot of different things (like where I lived, we were told not to evacuate and then put into a mandatory evacuation when it was no longer possible to evacuate without swimming). With that said, while I do think he was probably planning her murder, I don't necessarily think he initially planned to use it under the cover of the storm. It was convenient, so he sped up the murder.

Oh god. I was so worried when they let Steve go that he would use suicide as a way to ensure that Crystal was never found and that he'd never have to face his responsibilities for what he did. I'm so glad that wasn't the case. Those poor children, including the daughter from before his marriage to Crystal. What a terrible thing to have to find out that your dad did that to your mum/step mum.

I'm a Flight Attendant and when this happened, I was working at ExpressJet and she was an instructor when I had went through training. Also where I met my husband who was an instructor as well. They were friends. And had gotten a creepy vibe from her husband when he met him. We were based and living in Houston, and I remember when Harvey hit and she went missing, it was a sad scary time. Then once we all found out what really had happened once she was found, it was devastating. I have friends that will forever be mourning the loss of her. RIP Crystal. 🙏🏻

Harvey was insane..my sister in law lost her house. The water came up to the second floor. My husband and I had just barely finished moving out of our house before it hit. We would have been flooded out too had we decided to stay one more day. People I know are still recovering from it. Hurricanes suck

Steven threatened her with suicide and he might kill heir children in an effort to hang on to her. He may not have verbalized it but he may have considered killing her too when he made that threat. I think the murder may have been premeditated and he took advantage of the hurricane and the chaos it created. He may not have had the day and time worked out but he was upset and the circumstances put him in a position that he could mask her disappearance and maybe some of the evidence.

I think it’s a bit of both premeditation and in the moment. i think that steven fully intended to kill crystal at some point before she actually got the chance to leave him and take the kids with her. but i think that he saw an opportunity with the storm as far as getting rid of evidence and (in his hopes) her body so that it could just be played off as she was lost in the storm.

Highways and streets were flooded for a week - there seemed to be nowhere for the water to go. I'm glad her body was still right where he put her after all this or he would be free to just kill the next woman who broke his heart.

7:49 Just want to point out that sleeping in separate beds doesn't mean "something is off" all the time! More couples are doing this, these days, if they have the luxury of separate rooms. It can help with different sleeping schedules, or vastly different sleeping preferences. Some people who suffer from past trauma may also find it comforting to have their own spaces.
But yes in this case the couple was having issues.

Edit: I just finished the video, lol. I think it may have been premeditated, going off of his previous threats and obsessive personality, but IF I remember correctly, a lot of people including me didn't realize Harvey was going to be as bad as it was. It gained strength very quickly, but the most devastating aspect of it was that the hurricane sat on top of us and wouldn't move or dissipate. The constant rain for like 3 weeks caused Dams to overfill and have to be released flooding more people plus rain water and surge not having anywhere to go. Not sure if he thought the hurricane would help him any, but who knows.
Hurricane Harvey was hell. I'm in South East Texas, about 45 minutes from Baytown (Beaumont, Tx)
We were all under water. Had to be escorted out by military trucks. The military trucks were bumping and pushing cars that were under water out of the way as we were driving. I was lucky, but know people that were clinging to trees as water rushed around them, waiting to be saved. So many are still living in homes that are damaged or missing drywall halfway up.
I can't imagine having someone going missing during this time. ( Haven't finished the video yet 😅)

My dad and I stayed in New Orleans for Hurricane Katrina. My street had 13 ft of water (Yes, you've heard that correctly) You could swim DOWN to touch the roof. I guess that's what happens when you live in a bowl. You can literally stand on a street and have to look up to see ships. Our only protection is the strength of our levees.
