Spectacular spider man and spider man, 2 was my introduction to the character Greg is right whatever was your first introduction to the character. You are going to love that the most because that is your childhood. I just wish people who grew up with the 90s spider-man show We'll give it some respect. This is my childhood

Yeah I also agree with Greg because I grew up with Spectacular and here I am doing a whole breakdown series about it. I still do love the 90s show most people complain about stupid things (especially the action since he wasn't allowed to punch) but they had some really fantastic stories and that's why it's so great and they also did Peter Parker fantastic too.

This took forever, not even finished with the video, after work was Grocery shopping and checking around the house, but here's a possibility on how he survived, maybe.
Miles Warren was working for Norman at the time and Miles Warren was working on the structure of DNA, from Animals, to living fire, and he was behind the Clone Conspiracy/Saga/Genesis. I'm not saying a Clone Saga was possible for the show, especially during his Highschool Years. (Not counting the Ultimate Comics) but it's a possibility.
Well give an honest Review later after a nice shower and Ramen Dinner.

My Theory for how Norman Survived:
I think that the Norman we see at the end of the episode is a clone created by Miles Warren. We know that Miles was working with Norman and we know that we would’ve gotten the clone saga eventually in the show so it makes sense that Norman could’ve gotten Miles to make a clone of him as a backup plan in case he died.

This has been a really cool and innovative way of covering the show that goes beyond just reacting to the episode, and I appreciate how well you incorporate the behind the series throughout the episodes! I don't think I've seen anything like it!
As for the show, while I don't expect a series continuation, some part of me clings maybe to the possibility of comics. I don't know if being a non-original IP would make that easier or harder, or if Sony and Disney would be willing to be a bit more collaborative with comics. At the very least that Spectacular got a major acknowledgement in ASTV at least means studio heads are aware of its continuing popularity.
Extra tidbit for the future plans video if you make it and something I thought was interesting on Emily; there's an AskGreg question about her whereabouts during the play, to which he gives an answer along the lines of "excellent question!". I always figured it was just neglect, but that answer makes it sound like there's something important there. I wonder if that event would have been revisited.

I really appreciate it. Ink Tank does similar Breakdown videos with obviously his own unique style for the Ben 10 show and the inspiration for this series goes to him for sure. I did a whole different format that I enjoyed though like adding the interview clips which was probably my favorite parts of the video because it's just super interesting and the character infos I added and all that so yeah I'm glad you enjoyed them.
Yeah there is definitely a possibility of comics since you know it's not as popular as main stream media but again they would probably have to pay Sony in some capacity to probably use the character designs but their way to greedy for that. I'm also glad he got a cameo always nice to see him back even if it wasn't that long.
I remember seeing that but I never took a picture of it because I just thought it was Greg being Greg and not giving anything away but I'm sure she was doing something that we would've found out later on just like I think we would've found out what Harry was doing when he got kidnapped by the goblin since it was pretty obscure.

    • @gota7738
      @gota7738 Рік тому

@@krispykrb7081 I've just started watching Ink Tank recently and really dig it! I admit though I do prefer your way of structuring the breakdown and cutting away to accompanying visuals to any behind the scenes information since it makes it easier to digest. The incorporation of the interviews is especially clever!
For the time being I've decided Emily may have been the one actually keeping Harry under lock if the Pumpkin Heads were being hired anonymously. Makes sense since having anyone not in the know would complicate things. Though overall, Emily Osborn drives me nuts since there's so little to speculate on other than the Gargoyles Crossover and Greg's choice of VA indicating she was going to be shady herself.

But either way he still one of my faviorte people to watch and I can't thank him enough for the inspiration.

How would you feel if Spectacular Spider-Man got the Batman TAS treatment in being revived but with Avengers EMH to sort of fit in with the Yost Verse ( since it was confirmed that Josh Keaton was going to reprise his role as Spider-Man but his lines got dubbed by Drake Bell ) just like how Batman TAS was revived with Superman TAS’s art style to fit in with the DCAU, instead of Ultimate Spider-Man ?

Of course I would love that. Yeah even thought the art style change would make the show lose some creativity I still think EMH has a wonderful comic book looking art style and I think they could really pull off some amazing things if they bring back the original team heck even bring back the people that were writing EMH to write him because they seem to have been done a good job just from the little screen time we saw him

You found Coach Smith! You f***in’ legend! That stumped me for years! We managed to find Hammerhead’s moll in comics and assumed she was his driver in the show, but this one named character we couldn’t find to save our lives. Ha and you found my pet project on Superherohype from back in the day. I always liked that Spectacular made sure to not make a bunch of original characters, and being restricted to Spider-Man mythos only due to legal rights forced them to be creative and pull from stuff like the Scarlet Spider books or even stuff from Reign. I think nowadays, the FBI agents Wade and Briggs would have just been SHIELD Agent Fury and Hill. Congrats on both finishing your youtube analysis and graduating in real life!

@@krispykrb7081 I gave a theory as to why Norman survived in some other comment, but yeah honest Review and opinions, in the Comics Norman was just making the a Strength enhancer Drug cause that's what every Scientist did in the Comics at the time, but over the years new writers did there best to explain why all this stuff happened. And it traces back to some of the Heroes, like recreating the Super Soldier Serum, creating a Mutant Defense/Attack Unit. Creating more invance and powerful Ironman Suits and even cases of re creating The Fantastic Four, Hulk, Spiderman and even Pym Particles.
So while Norman was just creating a Drug enhancer just because, but if he had the right, than maybe it was because he was trying to create new Super Soldier Serum. As to why he became a Criminal? It was cause the serum made him Insane, but I think Norman is just an asshole like in the Ultimate Comics.

Greg confirmed that Norman became the Goblin because Adrian's attack made him feel vulnerable, which he couldn't abide by and decided to outdo everyone in that field.
It makes sense given that he was already dealing with the criminal underworld and involved in the creation of a new generation of super powered crime. There's an aspect of the series that's about supervillains taking over from the Mafia types, and I suspect Norman saw it coming and decided to take advantage of the opportunity to dominate both scenes.

It's fucked up and an ominous note to end on, but on rewatching I definitely saw more of where that ending with Harry came from. Gwen's a lot better than Peter and makes some effort to take it seriously, but that look she gave Peter and Liz strongly implied that she wasn't thinking of her addiction-recovering friend when she said yes.
Harry had definitely picked up on it by Gangland, so can you imagine being kidnapped for a few days by a supervillain who Spider-man and Norman thinks is you, and the only person whose shown she cares about your wellbeing in the past might have reasons to be relieved your gone so she can date your best friend. The same friend your dad keeps implying he prefers to you.
Then after you escape by yourself, you go to those two friends and open up to them, and as soon as you leave they immediately discuss how she needs to break up with you seconds after almost cheating. Not a good look.
Combine that with; his repeated failure in maintaining his other relationships in school, Norman and Emily's general parenting style, dealing with addiction, believing said addiction turned him into a violent supervillain, being kidnapped, and then of course finding out that was his who Dad took advantage of his addiction to frame and physically hurt him, followed by said dad "dying" in front of his eyes.
Kid didn't even get to do the school play he worked for.
In no way to does it justify manipulating Gwen to staying with him, it's a scummy move, but you can see how everything prior would build up to a decision to flip the script and take control of the situation. It's just that his teacher for taking control of the situation is Norman.
It's like watching a train that's already caught fire and hurtle its way towards a collision.
