Regrettably, I saw it once, don't remember the comedian, and just remember how well he caught the neurotic pathos, ending with a weak little laugh from the puppet.

This is the greatest single performance in Comedy Ever! He inspired me to perform stand up for 20 years. I love this man... not sure why he didn't make it like Jim Carey but was there in the same era to make it shine. Viva Bob Nelson.
I've been a fan since then, too. I saw him love about 11 years ago in Branson, Missouri. There was only a couple of dozen people in the audience, but I loved every minute of it.

Love this guy. When I was a teenager this was one of my favorites. I also like the thing he did where he'd blow a bunch of bubbles in the air and say, "I'm a fish in a fish tank with too much food!" Then he'd do a fish impression and start freaking out trying to eating all the bubbles. It was hilarious.

As a black man I'd like to make an observation. Funny how it's ok for black people to make fun of white people, but not ok for white people to make fun of black people. Always a double standard. Really though, when blacks make fun of whites its funny, but the reality of the joke is not really insulting. If whites made fun of blacks, the reality of the jokes would be sad. When whites have a joke told about their race they say, yeah that's true, haha. When blacks have a joke told about them the get defensive and blame whites. It seems that racial tension, segregation, and racism and perpetuated by blacks more than whites today. Maybe I'm wrong. Just seems that way.

I was just thinking about those complaining about his "stereotypical" black accent, but those same people will roll in the aisle for Chris Rock doing a really bad white accent. Truth is we all land somewhere in the middle, and we have to be able to laugh at and with each other. The PC garbage is killing our collective culture.

And comedy that didn't rely on sexual innuendo and swearing. Jack Benny could kill you with laughter with just a look, Red Skelton could have you rolling on the floor with his pantomime skits without saying a word, I STILL laugh at Tim Conway's elephant routine with Carol Burnett.
Today's "humor" is sick.
I remember seeing this skit on HBO when it first appeared. I laughed so hard I nearly bruised a rib and I never forgot it. Great Stuff. If you enjoy it too pass it on. More people need to laff at themselves these days and I know this will do it.
