Once killed Napoleon himself and 3 full stacks of French by killboxing a reinforcement points with canister shot artillery and line infantry. The AI is also notoriously brain dead in these two games. Line infantry warfare does not really translate very well into TW unless all you want to do is march in a straight line without manouvering. Still, I have a soft spot for these games. Watching cavalry draw sabers and charge home is amazing. In a weird way these games have my favorite cavalry gameplay. Super easy to get them killed, but it is also possible to get amazing results with them.

    I always did enjoy Napoleon and Empire, but the AIs inability to see or understand elevation meant you could always trick their artillery to fire ineffectively into hills nullifying it and making the game pretty easy.

    man I know It's weird but I love empire total war. This battle is basically peak empire: infinite artillery duels, reinforcement camping shenanigans, a giant blob of infantry, friendly fire removing half a unit on accident and, of course, AI plowing a field with cannonballs for an hour straight.
    Makes we wanna play that mess again lol

    It looks like this guy won a campaign, spammed the end turn button to get crap tons of money, and then forced all the regions in the game to rebel, then peaced out with the new nations by giving them territory back, and then declared war on everyone after letting them build up for a while.
    I think this is what happened because every single territory that can rebel and become it's own faction has. Look at the UK for example, Scotland, and Ireland exist, which can only be formed by the territory rebelling or the player releasing them as a protectorate. Since Poland is so big, the player must've given them the territory. Poland usually only spawns in Warsaw, but it has a bunch of territory that looks like it does on the Empire campaign starting position.

    • @kam9201
      @kam9201 Рік тому +1

      Also, I think the main reason you've gotten barely any Napoleon submissions is simply because the way the AI usually works you just rarely ever run into disaster battle situations (As long as you are somewhat competent in managing your campaign). I mean this disaster battle was created intentionally, it wasn't a natural part of a campaign.

    fyi you can just clump your units together at the point (at the red line) the enemy reinforcements arrive, which allows your units to wear down the enemy as effectively as when they're routing before they're even usable on the field
