Such a great addition to make an already good system better. I love it when my gear is solid on the bike like that. Less stuff bouncing around usually means less wear. Cheers from the Island.
That's a thought-out approach. I simply wrapped mine around the frame and footpeg mounts of my T7 without any racks, and it survived 18k km of trails so far.
Thanks for showing how you take it off too. Seems like that part is a bit harder than putting it on and many reviews skip showing the taking off part. Will try your tip of pressing down a bit first. 👍
Hi! Great Video! As i own a DesertX too and just bought and unboxed the Reckless 40 i was wondering which setting you use for the side bags? The wide for Adv Bikes, oder the narrow for Dirtbikes. Have the Perun Moto Rack too. Cheers from Switzerland!
I like it! However just 1 makes me worry that it will “stress” out the fabric on the 1 mounting spot. I would like to use 3 to try to simulate the strap design of 3 strap down to spread the force around. Can’t wait to see how it works and last. Good work!
I might be the only one, but I actually don’t like my gnoblin. It’s a pain to engage and disengage and my bag is less stable being anchored on a pivot point. Also, the thumbscrew chews through anything I place in the beaver tail. I’ll most likely remove mine and end up with a useless hole in the rear fender, lol
Great video which really helped my fit my Gnoblin. I think your idea of heating an awl I’d better than using a leather punch. What’s your wrist watch by the way, I like it!
Timely video since I've been thinking about buying the Reckless 40 and using this piece as well. IF it works with the 40, which I'll call/email and ask about. Great job on the install and video!!
Not about this video but if you were going to put a top gun spring on a klr and intended to ride two up with some luggage would you use the 7.4 spring or go up to the 8?
Nice! Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery they say, and I might have to adopt this for my DX Are you lined up on setting 3 for the MM legs? I'm patiently waiting for Perun to release the side racks to give the legs some support by way of the auxpox, but your bracket is a slick solution. Great channel!
Just purchased the Reckless 80 v4 with the Gnoblin, fantastic piece of kit and the Gnoblin is brilliant. Great video, subscribed 👍🏻

A very useful video to understand the usefulness of The Gnoblin. Thank you! 👍
Simple secure easy install that's friggin awesome great review brother 👊
Thank you for that! Have bags and Gnoblin ready to go, waiting for CRF300 to put it all on.
Thanks for doing that video. Been thinking of ordering that gnoblin, now my mind is made up! Also I think the heated awl is a better solution.
Haha, a bit smoky but it sure works well ;)

Thanks. I'm leaning towards Mosko Moto for next luggage and I wondered how this worked.
Really been missing your videos. Have you stopped permanently?

Thats good information to know. I hadn't installed the gnoblin yet but I was getting ready to. I might rethink it now. Thanks. 👍
That's neat, well made too.
Pretty slick Mason

absolutely awesome.
Thanks!
Great mod. 👍
Looking good
Coming together now ;)
Will the gnoblin work on the tusk highland?
Mason , I wonder if it wouldn’t be more solid by sticking the horseshoe in the other direction ???

I don't love that you have to cut the harness. Looks great though.
Nice!
Thank you! Cheers!

Do you need to cut a big round hole out of the bottom foam?
Just around the clip. cuts easily with scissors and it gives room to line up the clip with the bobbin.
Wild they can't include the proper harware in the $1200 piece of luggage, then have the nerve to call the bolt a "Gnoblin"!
I completely agree.
I’m off to Kreiga… Can’t be arsed to wait for 3 months !
