BMW shipped it with that goofy stance to save money. Just spacers and springs fill out the wide hips and COMPLETELY transforms the car. Once the stance is fixed the hips take center stage. Those hips are not Lego!! I'm super conservative. Kept my E92 M3 and completely skipped the F series. G87 is as close to old school M with modern performance at reasonable price we are gonna get. Spend some money and the car becomes a beast! It's arguably the best M engine to date in the smallest package possible. Ignore the internet foolishness. Anyone who is actually in the market to enjoy something like this know what it is... I wish I had held out for the carbon buckets, now I gotta go get aftermarket buckets. Beautiful wheels. Enjoy!!
Couldn't have said it better. I like the buckets but I would easily enjoy Recaro Sportsers just as much. I've had an E46 M3, still have my F82, and X3M. The G87 is what I wanted my F82 to be lol. Those who really want that old school feel in a modern package, this is the only way to get that. It's not going to feel exactly like the E46 but nothing will. This is just the most pure driving experience you can buy new and throw 700hp at it and still manage it.
@@karolmaciejewski340 Yeah we don't have to worry about that extra filter. I don't think the US cars sound bad stock. I'm pretty sure US regulations require the tires to be completely covered as well. The goofy stance I hate from BMW is the reveres rake the M cars come with. Fronts are always so high now but after taking them on track and standing on the brakes, it might actually save the car on track.
Just like everyone. I hated the G87 M2 when it first came out. I had one foot in buying a Supra, but then I decided to take one last look at the M2. The M2 is a car you really have to see in person.. It may not look as pretty as the F87 M2 but I feel the G87 M2 has more road presence. Needless to say I ordered my M2 on Nov 2023 and picked it up Feb 2024. Very happy with it so far.. with how the car industry is going towards.. the G87 M2 could be my last car I buy new.
I’m very happy with mine. It can get just as wild as the F chassis cars but it can handle the power much better. It definitely has presence and character. The Supra isn’t a bad choice either but you just get sick with old BMW tech and no back seats. Lighter package though. Lacks some of the M refinement like cooling, diff, brakes, M setup controls and such. The price difference though…people should just get the M2 for what these dealers are charging for the Supra.
@@mthusiastmedia9782 At first I wanted the Supra over the M2 simply cause I like the styling more. I live in Canada so there is no mark up here we just pay MSRP and the difference between the Supra 72 600 vs base M2 81 500 is not much especially when you are getting the S58 engine, over all better performance, better interior and more/newer tech.. those things to me just made more sense to go with the M2.
@@patc8653 I like the look of the Supra too. I just get tired of seeing them. Where I live, the car scene is pretty nice so I feel like everyone on earth has a Supra and a G80 or GT3 RS because I see 5 everytime I go to the grocery store but then you look at the sales numbers. We just have a high concentration of nice cars in Charlotte. I went with the G87 because still to this day, I've only seen 2 others in person.

The whole car is matte PPFd. The benefit is it’s a finish change so gives the car a different look and it’s completely covered. Easy to clean up and no rock chips. The down side is it’s $7k to do the whole car and it’s still Brooklyn gray/looks like a factory color lol. It does make long drives and cleaning almost worry free though.

Yeah off camera I remember making a big deal about how EVERY SINGLE TIME a new generation drops, people hate it for the first 18 months and then when people start modding them and making them twice as fast as the last generation, no one cares. Its the best BMW ever. Get it now before they ruin the next generation. Been going on since the E46 released. The E46 M3 wasn't an instant hit. People hated the sound, it was too comfy, no 4 door option lol. Then the E92 M3 was too big and heavy... Look at us now.

I guess the best option is to split the difference and PPF the front and maybe a larger section of the rear quarters.
