Looks, sounds and (I'll take your word for it) drives much better. However, paying that much for a car that you then need to spend soooo much more on just to get it where it should have been to begin with is a tough pill to swallow.
That’s my issue. I bought a used 2022 m240i w/ 13,000 miles recently. The M2 is a better car but would cost another $20-25,000 include taxes and then the mods I’d want would add another $5,000 plus over the M240i. Wish it was 10-15,000 more all in
To be honest, the only "essential" mod for a G8X platform in my view is monoball front-arm bushings to fix the numb steering. These can be had for around £500+ (installation cost not included). The "CS/CSL" software code for the gearbox, suspension etc. is also great, but not essential IMO.
@@drjk7565 I didn't drive it but I also think it's a superb car. I owned a F87 M2 - it's a fun car and sounds extremely good. That's a fat minus point for me - G87.
I owned an F87 and now own a G87. The G87 is better even stock and now I actually like the esthetics better. The extra weight is a benefit IMO as the car is more planted than the previous gen.
Remeber what this guy says how he hated on the looks. When the next gen m2 comes out he will be saying how amazing this gen is and its the last true m2.
Love that rear wing, just placed my order yesterday for the wing and magnetic shift paddles for my F87 M2c, didn't know about the discount code, maybe next time.
i cant understand as well why you guys have only 33k subs, you have great content. RS no way is better looking. f8x series are better looking outside, but not inside.
So … spend a fortune buying it and then more cash to fix it? And… No DCT. At the limit you feel it. You also feel the weight when pushing it around corners.. it’s a no for me. Save yourself the pain and a load of cash … buy a low mileage prev gen.
Facts. Too expensive, too ugly, too heavy. That’s an immediate strike 3 for me. Previous gen is so much nicer looking. Does it perform like an S58? No. But the Competition has the S55, which is a great engine. And it will put a smile on my face so much more in stock form, looking back at it when I park it.
@JacesOwnWorld the S58 blows the S55 right out of the water though (easy 600+ on pump gas tuned)...I just ordered a 2025 in portimao blue with silver wheels. Fugly lines? Yes but it's a better car overall by far (esp interior) and lap times don't lie
Still ugly as f! You shouldn’t have to spend silly money on mods to convince yourself it’s a looker. BMW messed up on the looks department on this car, in fact all of the new M cars. Performance might be great but you still need that wow when you look at it
This is how to g87 🔥👏
I wasn't a fan, but after seeing one today with lowered springs, it has changed my perspective on this car. #beast
Super clean and aggressive look. Love the wrap. Love everything you added to the M2. BEAUTIFUL 🤌
Been waiting for this video, watching this series has made me order one.

Damn that exh system is 🔥🔥
The look grows on you over time.
But a good design doesn’t force someone to grow on them over time. 🤷♂️
I think I would need several decades then…

It's nice to see that you can improve on your g87 m2 but for me wide wheel arch gapes and all oem will still be classic for me ❤😊
Always love an AUTOID video
I liked it from the beginning with few mods I like it even more. Great value for money and best modern M car.
Rs3 looks like a Jetta compared to this
Love the color. Is that a custom color?
the color is amazing
Love that rear wing, just placed my order yesterday for the wing and magnetic shift paddles for my F87 M2c, didn't know about the discount code, maybe next time.
Absolutely peach 🍑 you’ve nailed it ! Saw this car at FOS and it’s even better in person
Thank you bud!
“You got plastic door cards “ sounded personal lol
Jack, incredible video as usual. Would you mind sharing what barber you go to?
i cant understand as well why you guys have only 33k subs, you have great content.
RS no way is better looking.

I'm changing my mind because of you 😁😁
Great film Jack. G87 all the way!! Is the exhaust set up road /MOT legal?
Thanks Mark, and kind of, pop us a message where we can run you through it.
Nice car, I'm still sticking with f87 for now. Its so much cheaper on the used market.
The rear floating calipers on most new sports cars screams regression 😢. They always look off.
g87 future classic💯
Looks sweet
Probably down to price
Is why most disliked it, the front grill and wheel gaps were just an excuse
Not excuse but additional negatives.
Personally, I dislike the rear end.
What alignment specs are you running?
Alignment specs are on our track day blog post - autoid.co/blogs/news-releases-builds/preparing-our-g87-m2-for-the-track
You have to mod the shit outta it to fix the ugly from factory...that's not a win in my book. Only thing good about it is the engine.
i be real after all the this all the g models kinds grew on me except this one i tried to love it but cant
wrong

Or 2025 RS3

Lead lined doors 😆😆
Wheels would look a lot better in black
In this setup I’m not so sure but i much prefer bronze so it can contrast it.
Intake adding 20 hp is wishful thinking
It’s still ugly no matter how much $$ on exterior mods someone throws at it. 🤷♂️
Colour is horrid. Wheels are fugly. And that spoiler 🤮
Yikes.
Still ugly as f!

when xDrive drops will be the best M car.
it won't
@@moglyz9911 Rumor on the street is that 2026 could come and if not BMW is missing a lot of sales opportunities imo.

Nice mods apart from the wheels, they are horrible 🤢

The m240i is a much better car. Why would you ever buy the m2?
Said no one never
@@karolmaciejewski340 🥱. What car currently holds the record for the fastest bmw ever made? Oh that’s right, the m240i
Sorry but there's nothing anyone can do in order to make that front end of the car look anyway good with those square inlets on each side!🤢🤮
wrong
I agree. If I did want an M2, I'd consider it in black in an attempt to hide its odd looks
Still hate it, moving to porsche.
Twice the money for similar car (new) so completely different price point...
I'm in the 20 percent. 🫡
