Im doing mine, im using the 2000 ex factory harness, and swapped in a manual ecu, and instantly the car had idle issues (bouncing up and down) and check engine light on for iacv. I heard you need to swap a manual intake manifold with the iacv on the back of intake (the auto intake has the iacv on the throttle body.
Yep if u had the auto manifold u have to swap it out of manual ones or either cut one of the wires for it so itll trick the ecu thats its been grounded off thay way ull get away with up n down rpm
Yes you will need to swap ecu and wiring for smog purposes but if smog is not that priority u can used auto ecu and wiring temporarily with check lightbon
@@lamar_scoots7824 all u gotta have to change is either the ecu for manual or just reuse your auto tranny itwill have check light for automatic tranny functions and make sure yourjump wire the switch for neutral or park
@@andrewdero6271 I also wanted to ask is it okay if I use any D series Intake manifold as long as it’s a manual one? Or do I need to change the throttle body as well?
This is great dude its nice to know what you need in one video. Couldnt really find a clear answer just video clips.

What was the part you named at 57 seconds ?
Its prolly the type of transmission dx and lx has same gear ratio ex has a bit bigger ones and then hx has longer ratios
The automatic T bracket will work too
Yeah both will work for d series motor
Hey, did you ever have to swap any wiring or the ECU?
Yes you will need to swap ecu and wiring for smog purposes but if smog is not that priority u can used auto ecu and wiring temporarily with check lightbon
What code does it show when using the auto ecu?
Would this setup work for a 1998 Honda Civic with a D16z6 auto transmission?
Yup plug n play in all d series motor
@@andrewdero6271 okay thanks man. Never done a swap before so hopefully all goes well, is everything you listed essentially for making the swap?

@@andrewdero6271 my check engine light is already on, would that even Matter then and what do you mean jump wire the switch for neutral and park
What about the bearing cups for the transmission....can the auto transmission ones fit the manual?
What do u mean about bearing cups? Is it the axles
@@andrewdero6271 the part the axles go into
@@holdavyb9544 in the transmission or in the spindle? Both manual and auto axles are plugnplay in d series as far as i know
@@andrewdero6271 ok great that's all I want to know
@@holdavyb9544 ok cool glad to help bro im in the project of doing a bswap so i might do video of it sooner
You need more than this to make it run right
@@ericcartman8716 basically it will run with auto ecu but will need a bit of wiring works.. auto axle will slap right on
I have an auto 99 civic ex coupe with a d16y8. Will I be able to use a d16z6 manual transmission for this auto to manual conversion?
Definitely a plug n play only diffirence between y8 n z6 tranny is the size of bearings inside the tranny.
@@andrewdero6271 thanks bro👍🏽 have everything besides the transmission but finally came across one locally
@@elegantjaytv actuall casing for all d series engine will bolt on right up strongest tranny of them all are from y8 and z6

@@elegantjaytv as long as its a manual for that same year..
you will need a manual subframe for this to work
Nope stock frame will just work fine done it already just gotta make bigger whole for auto shift linkage location for manual linkage
hi sir just asking what is size of length of axle civic 2000 model lxi manual to automatic
