Congrats on the swap. I recommend you get that auto brake pedal changed out for a manual one. Most believe you have to change the entire brake and gas pedal assembly to do it, but you can really get away with changing out the brake pedal only and keeping the same gas pedal. I did it that way and it wasn't bad at all, and i've never had problems with doing it that way
Hi Im currently in the middle of doing a manual swap my civic is also cvt ek1 hatch 1999 EUDM. I’ve put the manual t bean racket in place and when I try line up the gearbox top mount and bottom mount. They don’t line up. I think the t bracket is the issue but i got the manual t bracket only other thing that it could be is the bushing that it bolts to on the subframe. any tips?
Do i have to wire reverse light when I put an manual ecu in my b16a2 swap? The car was an auto all that was done was the clutch pedal and gearshift fabrication. The reverse lights worked but all the sudden dont, got volts on fuse on both pins but absolutely no voltage anywhere for the yellow wire in engine loom to reverse switch. None of the honda lads are bothering to help me out so I'm stuck here
I have a question, man; I am planning on doing a b series and manual swap in my Ek at the same time. I was wondering about the mounts for the transmission. Would I still need to get the torque mount and top mount for a manual? I am assuming I need to get the top mount and torque mount from the b series transmission or do the d series manual mounts (top mount and Torque Mounts) fits the b series transmission.
Oi I got a question I watched this whole video to see how you handled that upper trans mount. Are you running without it? I have this project coming up for a friends 97 ek and it’s also an HX. So we got the frame Mount piece from the junkyard and then we will drill the frame and put in the nut inserts so it’s like the every other ek chasis. Hopefully 🤞
Hello I’m swapping my Vi ferió from CVT auto to 5 speed. And I’m having trouble with the transmission mount. Which one did you use? Since our chasis are different from regular automatic Eks.
@@forcarssakeanother question, how does your car idle and did you change the intake manifold ? Mine is surging while idling thinking to might be the manifold/iac.
hey man great video it helped me do mine this weekend im almost finished. Do i need to get a manual ECU or is the auto one fine to run? Are you driving with the auto and its fine?
It took me about a month in total, ut I did run into weird problems such as the T bracket from the CVT was different, my S20 some how ran B series drive shafts, the gearbox mount is also different.

Cool! Thank you so much for the tip. I'll try that out
Get the grinder out and cut it.
@@forcarssake I have a question with transmission mound on top did you buy because I have the same problem it doesn’t fit.

Thank you for taking the time to make this video. Great info.

I can only dream of doing this some day - I can’t even wrap let alone swap!
Just got to try bro! Hope the video helped
Question, for the reverse light wiring, where did you get the plug that goes into the hatch dome light wire?
@@paulinarosarioalers2081 great question. I grabbed from a parts car (similar era Civic) the ceiling light wiring.

@pixelgaming4603 sorry man, but I'm not 100% sure what is causing it to not work in your case

B and d series have different mount all together. So you need all the brackets
Hi my I ask do I need to change my ECU too if I do A/T to M/T swap?

Yeah, that's one way to do it. I am still making the bracket right now.
@@forcarssake I just did it and that is the cleanest way and it preps you for other swaps like if you go B series 👍🏾
@@civicstar982 all the best with the swap!
Do you also need a manual intake manifold and throttle body? Really good stuff mate!
Hey bro I got a question did u use the auto ecu and auto harness?
Cause you have check engine light?
I used the auto ecu and harness, the engine light was because the air intake wasn't installed, and the air flow sensor caused the error.

No mate, still running the auto ecu
