Because of unequal length headers this car to me its the only other car to sound like a subi.
Check out Honda b16 or b18 with UEL header. You will notice right away. it is more like Subaru than this Mazda!

That's cus these cars have unequal lengh headers on the OEM manifold also where cylinders 1 and 2 exhaust are longer than 3 and 4
