Great video! Love the upgrade to the Rancilio. It would be great to see a video on how you dial in on the gaggiuino. Also how and when to use its profiles as well as tutorial around the parameters would be unique to UA-cam and awesome
I’d love to see a tutorial of how to get a new steam wand like yours including the Gaggiuino mod - I’m a complete novice and haven’t tinkered with a machine before. Either the gaggiuino or a PID installment for sure. It seems that many are interested in a tutorial like this - could you provide one? You articulate everything in a easy and understandable manner
I ask cause I found a v6 for 100 dollars more than the e24 and I wondering when prices are that close if the extra 100 will be worth the effort of the rancillo rather than the Gaggia.
Interested in doing this mod myself on a Silvia. Which kit did you order from peak coffee? And how manageable is this for a novice? Would be my first time tinkering with an espresso machine
Thanks for posting a great video! I had been working through this mod on a V3 myself and completed all of the low voltage work but ended up putting it aside temporarily as I haven't found a decent schematic for the mains voltage setup. Do you happen to have a diagram for this or a link you could point me to? I had looked through the discord but never came across one specifically for the V3.
Man, I love this. I have the Sage (Breville in the US) barista express and find the steam pressure too low. It only has one hole on the nozzle because the pressure is quite low in comparson to a commercial machine, which I use regularly as an Assistan manager in a cafe. I can barely do latte art on my own machine because the milk just isnt quite good enough, but can on commercial machines. I have managed to mod mine slightly so it doesn't go above 9-bar but the steamer is quite underwhelming. That machines pressure looks great! Very envious haha!
Very cool. Nice you got the Decent and this thing l have you tried to compare them directly? Quality of coffee wise. The wait between espresso and steaming would bother me being used to quicker or dual boiler machines. Which basket were you using here? For purging steam wand instead of getting your pitcher wet, I do it into my steam wand towel and it adds moisture so it cleans the wand better afterward.
Looks cool dude. I have a unbuild gaggiunio thats my fall project. And I wanted a single dose connical burr grinder and that Option-O Casa looks amazing
Thanks for your video. I'm planning to install the Gaggiuino kit from Peak Coffee on my new Silvia V6. I’ve joined the Discord and am preparing by arranging the BOM for the Rancilio Silvia V6, especially with the kit. Could you please share your BOM for reference? I would greatly appreciate it.
Thanks for the great video. I’m going to buy either a Silvia or the brass boiler Gaggia classic pro e24 for the gagguino mod. In retrospect, which would you buy?
Nice video! First Gaggiuino I've seen on a Silva. If you wan't to cut some of the wait time between brewing and steaming you can steam first and then run water out of the boiler until it's cool enough to brew. A lot of people prefer that order on the Silvia.
Just wondering if you would be able to share the setup parameters for the Rancilio vs you Gaggia mod. Also are you able to share the 3d screen assembly?
@decentcoffeeeveryday You've made the set up look easy on the Silvia. I want to get the Silvia stock and do the same mod to add the Gaggiuino mod but the material is not widespread for the Silvia. Would you say the Silvia Pro X (dual boiler) is a better option then the modded stock, bar the price difference?
Great video and nice mod! I had a modded Dedica with dimmer, steam wand, pressure gauge and shower screen. I sold it this week and was jumping between getting a Gaggia and doing this mod, or a Lelit Mara X, and I finally pulled the plug on the Lelit, but I'm planning on adding the flow control mod to it next month. Super excited to get it! P.S. Is that grinder connical? I felt like it took ages to grind that coffee lol.
Hey great video. What was your incentive to get and mod a silvia may I ask? From watching your other videos you’re modded the gaggia in the past - is there a benefit to the Silvia at all over the gaggia?
nice setup and modded silvia. interesting how all that puck prep end result 3 separate streams that don't coalesce into one. nobody even knew channeling existed until aked portafilters appeared. anyway i am making a parody video about puck prep. in it i use very primitive puck prep tools ( mainly a straightened paper clip as distribution tool and it produces an immediate center single stream pull. in your opinion does the modded silvia produce the same shots as the decent?
Hi, also building a Rancilio Silvia Gaggiuino. I cant seem to find the loadcell models you are using for the silvia, are they custom made? Would it be possible to get the files somehow? Awesome work.
Hi @decentcoffeeeveryday, great vids - I'm looking to buy the Sage/Breville Dual Boiler, can you give me some ideas whether it'll produce coffee to the standard you expect like your modded machine? I'm getting it at a good price hence why I didn't look at the Rancillio...
I dont want to offend anyone by saying this. But it just struck me that, in a way, the gaggiuino mod is kind of like an extremely complicated pressurized basket... Improving consistency
Would you ever consider doing a step by step tutorial on modding the Silvia?
Actually I’m over it. Didn’t know until recently that the gaggia now has a brass boiler!!
@@reactionsok I have modded a GaggiaE24. Was easy but the build quality of a Gaggia is crap compared to an Silvia.

Good work thanks for the review!

cool. is it any guides to do this mod?
Nice workflow with build in Scale Module
Thanks for your videos bro 😎
Enjoy your work. Do you intend to do a face-off between the Rancilio Gaggiuino and the Gaggia Gaggiuino?
I have sold my Gaggia Gaggiuino so probably not but I might get the Gaggia Classic with the Brass boiler and make it a Gaggiuino
@@decentcoffeeeverydaydo you think it will be on par with a rancilio silvia v6 with the new brass boiler? Thank you for sharing!
I ask cause I found a v6 for 100 dollars more than the e24 and I wondering when prices are that close if the extra 100 will be worth the effort of the rancillo rather than the Gaggia.
@@r2ro112 Yes they are basically the same machine aside from the size of the boilers.
@@decentcoffeeeverydaydid you break even on that sale?

Would be of interest for me as well! :-)
Great video. Thanks

pssible to have a step by step video about how to install the mod into Rancilio Siliva?
Nice machine and grinder, curious about what you do for the Casa grinder , portafilter holder.
what model of steam wand did you use? was it difficult to perform the modification on the silvia?
Thanks for the great video. I’m going to buy either a Silvia or the brass boiler Gaggia classic pro e24 for the gagguino mod. In retrospect, which would you buy?
I like the form factor of the Gaggia better and now that a brass option is available I would go with that for sure.

To do a gagguino mod would get a used older model silva or the new gaggia e24?
I went with a used Silvia
Hey great video. What was your incentive to get and mod a silvia may I ask? From watching your other videos you’re modded the gaggia in the past - is there a benefit to the Silvia at all over the gaggia?
The Gaggia I liked better but it has an aluminum boiler which I'm not a fan of. Gaggia since has released a version that offers a brass boiler.
Great video! Where did you get the wood portafilter holder in the DF64v?
I love the Silvia build❤. I am planning to build a GCP v3.1 but then v4 comes out.
Btw, You are getting leaner?
How did you build this? I don't see any guide. Did the Gaggiuino Discord community help you build it?
Has your workflow changed with the rancilio? Milk then shot?
No
Would share experience on setting Boiler Power for Silvia
That may be irrelevant for him since he has the Gaggiuino mod, which has PID
great vids as always! do u have link for the portafilter funnel?
cafune.ca/products/option-o-magnetic-dosing-funnel
what portafilter? love that thing
It's the original portafilter that comes with decent espresso machines and the handle I made.
10:34 is that metal wobble coming from the drip tray?
It sits on magnets that are part of the integrated scales.

@silasketgaskets8709 Yes, it makes as good if sometimes better cups than decent. The grinder makes the biggest difference

I used the ones that are for the Gaggia just glued them in place on the ledge

IMO, get great beans, and then comes the grinder. Grinder is much more important.
