It is fun to see how everyone has different things that they like. I have tried a ton of tampers and have gone back to a standard tamper (Pullman in this case). I guess it is just how I push on a self-leveling tamper, but I always get a slanted puck! I recorded myself and can see that the collar lifts off the basket on the front left side. It isn't the tamper, it is me. I have this happen on my 54mm Ikape and 58mm Normcore. Using a standard tamper makes me tamp much differently, with my fingers on the base. I push in one spot then move my fingers and push in another and everything is even. Idk why but that is just what happens for me.
Also, for whatever it is worth I tend to like tapered 14-16 gram baskets as a whole. I find my shots more balanced. But I tend to pull tighter ratios with a modern take on Italian blends. Could be the reason why, or maybe my taste buds just don't know any better, lol.
Anyway, nice tips, thank you for sharing.

I have found the majority of the rattle comes from the water lid and cups on top. You can add a piece of cabinet liner to the cup tray and some electrical tape or something similar around the water lid and it helps a ton.

Solid upgrade choices! Stopping that annoying rattle with just a piece of tape is great

Hi, I stumbled over your channel via the algorithm. I also have a relatively new Profitec Go. I love your videos!! Please keep on going!! 😊

Love your videos. I’m the in the market and I believe the Go is the machine for me. I keep being enticed by higher priced and more feature rich machines, but if I’m honest with myself, the Go is more than I need.

If you make just 1 or 2 drinks a day, I think the Go is a solid choice!

What container are you using to store your beans?

How do you like your 078s? I’m leaning towards that as well. Wondering if the black or white will go better with the stainless steel Go. Thanks!

Game changing Profitec Go Upgrade was Dreo barista maker for $89. No more single boiler hassle with purging the boiler twice, then steaming then refilling
Now its press button, prep coffee, pull shot and pour latte art. Tic tac toe 3,5min and all done.

Do you make a lot of milk based drinks? Wondering if the machine serves you well if you do, considering that is a single boiler.
I have used a single boiler for quite a while and recently bought a HX, it's a game changer.
    Nice upgrades and video =)

I mostly make milk based drinks. It's definitely a nuisance to switch from brewing temp to steam temp but I have learned to embrace the process. Definitely not as smooth of an operation as using heatX or dual boilers...

Hello! I also liked your video. I am looking for my first machine - and I am standing between Proftec GO and Profitec Pro 400. Any thoughts? I am also wondering if it is ok to have a Wilfa uniform grinder - as my husband likes filter-coffe - maybe an americano. I really do not want two grinders on my counter:-) all the best - Anette

Well it depends. If you make a lot of milk based drinks, I would suggest the 400. Single boilers like the Go are budget friendly but it is quite a nuisance to switch between brewing and steaming. Fortunately, i have learned to embrace the process.
As for me, I think heat exchangers are not worth it - I would rather get a dual boiler instead, though it's a little bit more expensive. In the end, It depends on your budget, workflow, aesthetic preference, etc. Only you have the answer :)

How do you like the stainless steel color? I've always leaned toward the black, but your videos have my liking the SS.

It's beautiful. I wanted the black at first, but the stainless steel variant is just a stand out. Looks like a tank!

I got it from a local online store in Indonesia. I think they only sell it here. It's called Mischief Workshop

Just another paid video. Those ims shower screens doesn't change anything. It's just marketing. It doesn't cause a better distribution.
