Never have i ever in my life felt this much respect to a fictional game character as i felt for Colonel Miller. The Old man was with us from the start in Metro 2033. Found D6 together, then he got busy in last light as the Commander of D6 but does come at the end to defend it. And now finally in Exodus he went on his final mission with Artyom and died like a Hero. I salute you Colonel.
hell yeah bro he died as a soldier/hero and i give him high respect, i felt close to him like he was my own grandpa, may have been a grumpy old man but he still had that caring father figure in him since he wanted to protect his people and his most prized possession his one and only daughter Anna. I salute to him to.
So Captain Miller not only found the map, but finds artyom, goes back to find the kid, saves him from mutated beasts, carries him to the truck as well and drives us half way to the train. He is truly a legend, the real protagonist of the game. Salute.
COLONEL Miller. Get it right, trooper! And Both Miller and Artyom have been doing protagonist shenanigans for a long time. Miller's just been at it a lot longer than Artyom. He was a soldier when the bombs fell and raised the Spartan Order from the ground up, alongside raising his only daughter, earned the respect of his troops and the people of the Metro and got a cool personalized Railgun that nobody else had. It sounds like things a main character in an RPG achieves. He's had a life just as storied as Artyom's, and in the good ending Artyom has the chance to bring his own life even further than Miller's.
@@mohammedtemimi1980 From Damir, Duke, and Alyosha, you need at least 2 out of the 3 of them to be present and willing to give Artyom blood at the end. This is determined by your moral points in each chapter. Duke survives the Bridge Escape if you've been kind to the cult, saved their people from Bandits, and avoided killing them so they're willing to hold fire. Damir stays if you've done many things to help the tribal slaves in the Caspian Sea so he feels indebted to you and doesn't feel the need to stay to help his people. Alyosha must leave the Taiga on good terms with Olga and the forest children, so Artyom must avoid bloodshed with them whenever he can. If you fail the moral check he will be crippled and hold a grudge against Artyom for hurting Olga and the Forest children.

On the good ending, what really got me was when Miller finds you dying, and you see he is seriously sick as well and he uses his only serum on you, as he calls you son :’).
they should have just had the good ending im kinda pissed i went through this entire game to have the bad ending, like who honestly wants to die at the end of the game? and not have the happy ending? makes no sense.
I got emotional when the kid. was telling about how Miller fought the exact same mutants Artuom fought in this level, rat creatures, giant worms ect while carrying him on his back. To think that old man went through the same hell in this chapter.

@@GX2re You pretty much have to avoid killing anyone unless they are shooting at you. For example, when a bandit surrenders, and you end up killing him, that will give you bad moral points. I got the good ending by doing that, only killing the people that shoot at me.
I literally finished this gem of a game today. Throughout the game, I was worried about Anna dying but I failed to even consider that Miller would make the ultimate sacrifice so that both Artyom and Anna can live the life that they deserve. This final music and that ending sequence in general brought me to tears. Seeing our crew rush in to aid Artyom gave me all kinds of chills. And that ending scene where every crew member sits by our bedside either worried sick or giving blood while we talk to Miller in the afterlife and bid him farewell just brought a rush of emotions. It was all executed splendidly to say the least. Artyom is a hero. Miller is a legend!
Honestly when I finished the game I nearly cried since miller has been there in the 3 metro games, miller was a great character and the sad part was he even called Artyom son.
This is why we put so many hours into these games. The characters become real and you develop feelings for them. It's sad to see the credit rolls because when that happens you are taking one last look at your friends and saying goodbye. I like to replay certain games just to see my friends one more time.
The 3 gun salute is so sad, knowing that Artyom let his friends down and allowed people to die. Turned into a monster who butchered everyone in his path, and for that had nobody by his side when he needed it the most.
Having played the game twice now getting each ending id super disagree. Maybe it's an extension of the good ending being locked behind needing to play like the mc has 40 IQ and sneaking through everything in the game making sure to never kill a single thing in the game even though they all want to kill you because that's naughty, but I couldn't care less when Artyom died. Miller on the other hand was hugely emotional his death had so much impact on the story and seeming he dies in both endings the only difference is what personality he leaves on. Good ending he thanks you calls you his son is happy his daughter and the crew have somewhere good to live and raise children now... Really fits his personality of being a great guy. Bad ending he just goes woooo we both dead who cares let the living deal with whatever problems they have now not our problem. That personality really stinks doesn't match the character he was in the metro games at all. I think the difference in the personality the game gives miller really highlights which is the good and bad ending artyom living is just like ok whatever look forward to the next metro if there is anymore where we need to let everyone try to kill us and never hurt them in return for another good ending because he is insane woo.
@@splinter360 That's not what being a spartan was about. Artyom's path has always been to save humanity, and he was (and is) capable of doing so. He becomes a monster when he strays from that.
what broke me was Anna saying she hates artyom and loves him so much at the same time. Their future severed just like that. They got to their dream place but at what cost? Just, goddammit man.... almost feel like the bad ending should not be a thing so that people can end the game on a good note. Just make one good canon ending that ties up a loose end and gives a hopeful future. Because this other one man... Anna would be broken for decades, if they even live that long.

Not a rocket science I only ever played blind ranger hard core and never got bad ending in any metro series however I did fuck up in bioshock 2 by harvesting those girls teeth what a monster I was
@that guy you never need that in exodus. Conversation moral points are in last light also you never ever need to skip fighting bad guys in any games it does not take away moral points. But if you shoot benevolent factions or kids of animals you get a penalty pretty straight forward tbh
@that guy that is not true tho in last light you get good ending if u spare bear cubs watchamn pup dragons pup on the roof if you listen to convos and spear commie guy . otherwise you can full kill wild life and other enemy soldiers that are not key story npc and you get good ending. i never got bad ending and i am pretty blood thirsty i just let go of full killing main npcs if they have understandable motivations.
I think it could. It wasn't too long they finally added the Sam DLC. This one could be sort of a Co-op survival game mode where you play different maps and try to survive with friends as much as you can against endless hordes of mutants.

I got the good ending on my first playthrough but man that bad ending is fucking sad, but also kinda awesome? Seeing Bourbon again blew me away as well as Khan. What an amazing game
I got the good ending first try to but the worst part is with Duke and Damir i know what i did for them to be ok but Alyosha I'm not sure if its because i didn't kill any of the forest people or because i made the bear flee on the first encounter.
@@deman182 You can't kill any of the Pioneers or Pirates, just speed through the first encounter by running away, and cutting the line and going up the ladder. You're supposed to fight him at the end.
Patchwork I think with Alyosha you can’t kill the Pirates after the girl said not to kill them. When she told me not to kill them I did it anyways and Alyosha got shot at the end of the mission.
Just finished around 10 minutes ago with the good ending. I think the finale was the most intense yet most calm sequence I have ever had the pleasure of playing. There was no epic firefight and giant monster, just you fighting against your worst enemy: the environment, reminding you what the real horror in the post-apocalypse is. No game has ever made me so emotionally invested in its supporting characters and have an ending sequence that made me feel so many emotions at once before.
one of the only games making me feel the feels this much like the metro was GTA V i mean that game had such a great ending and you connected with the characters so well. also witcher 3 loved that game too
That's it! I saw people complaining that the game has no big fights or a main antagonist, but the real threat is there all the time, as you said, it's the environment! Metro was always about the atmosphere, the moral, and not big fights and bosses. This game is pure art, it's a gem when it comes to story driven shooters, I think it's the best I've played ever.
I lost my father two years ago and this game let me see what he could've been like if he grew old, it let me see my dad grow old, he and Miller were kinda alike. And seeing him die in the end took a piece of my soul, seeing him take my hand made me sob

Saddly that mission spoiled the end so hard. Because whether you get the good or bad ending you will wonder : so duke can either survive or die. So how could that affect the ending ? Oh right he mentioned something about blood types .
@@Jeffro2510 It didn't. In the book the Spartans were paired on their bloodtype so that if one goes down in the field the transfusion is always available. Duke's comments were a throwback to that.
Well, to be fair, Artyom is AB+, which makes him a universal recipient. He can take blood from any type. And if Duke had the same blood type, he could as well.
8:45 i cried so much, seeing Miller pass away due to the lethal radiation just made me ball my eyes out, he sacrificed himself by giving the last green stuff serum to save Artyom knowing he knew his time was up and that he wanted Artyom to live to take care of his daughter Anna. Miller was like a father figure to me like my own grandpa when my grandpa was around when i was a kid, a grumpy old man but still had a heart and still cared. especially when Miller called Artyom his son.. Much respect to miller and I salute him as he passed away like a true hero/soldier.
I guess the enhanced edition makes a difference. When you move Miller over, you can see through his mask and see his eyes wide open and lifeless. The pat came off as a "farewell, you did good...Dad"
Literaly finished it and a couple minutes ago and thought i got the bad ending because Miller died but i guess to save his daughters life he had to sacrifice his. I literally balled at Miller dying and im a grown man.
I honestly never had a game make me cry and by that logic I thought none could make me cry. But this game is just so good and powerful. I was in tears during the whole driving scene until the credits. The music during the driving scene just multiplied its impact tenfold for me! Truly a masterpiece, we need to protect this series and 4A Games. We are lucky to have them.
To me I got the good ending and it almost didn't get me. I know it's a complete different game but Nier Automata got me good and Horizon Zero Dawn too...
That was my playstyle. I did shoot the thugs at the lighthouse as well as the ones that ambushed me from the ground while I was on the crane in Caspian as it was too far and too risky to go down. I killed a thug that was beating a slave a shot all the cannibals. I got the good ending.
Finished the game a couple hours ago and was curious to see the bad ending. In the good ending which I was happy to get I started to cry not only after Miller died(yes I cried like the rest of you don’t deny it) but when everyone was hoping for you to stay alive and giving their blood to you. Duke and Alyosha’s little pick me ups really got me balling with how connected I was with everyone on the train. Metro series is the one of the greatest series of all time and Exodus is an absolute masterpiece to add onto the series.

This game is just art. I'd say personally it's been perfected carefully and executed perfectly too. Both endings are good in a specific sense, The bad ending is clearly worse but it's not awful. The game series is where I started, And now to find a Metro 2033 book lol.
metro games are so underrated, this is by far the best game of the series, from the driving scene with the added ost and when artyom shook miller to find out he passed on the passenger seat. Oh and yes that last bit where the whole Sparta crew rushed for you is gold, I really wish I had best bros like them. This ending couldn't be more perfect, I "almost cried"

One of the best games i have ever played. Loved this trilogy from the start and its one of the best storytelling and execution of how to get the atmosphere and immersion to the player. Definetely the most underrated game in history !

Yeah , i got the bad ending , that's suck. I legit thought that Duke and Damir had to necessarily die/stay back . The chapter for Alyhosa was FULL of people telling me to don't harm any of the local so i didn't and when i got the trophy for saving him something clicked in my mind , i then realized that i fucked up. Well , that is still a good game. I appreciated the last part that give a full throwback to old metro playstyle , alone in the metro and the escape from the gorilla. Also , my language got fully translated , hearing the gorilla " aaaah food , come here " in my language while shitting my pants was a majestic experience.

Bit late but, i actually had Duke die on me, but i still got the good ending. As there are 3 members you can lose across the campaign: Duke, Damir and Alyosha i believe. Atleast 2 of those 3 need to survive to get the good ending.

I spent hours looking for info about the future of Metro and couldn't find anything except some posts saying, that 4A won't be making new Metro game for PC platform and that Artyom's story is ended, however there was no source and I don't believe that shit. Metro is the game, that shows for all of the world, how today's games should look like, not only because it looks pretty, has amazing graphics, but the design, the passion, the story, characters, the small details. Those small walks on the train after every major chapter was soooo nice, it was my probably favorite part of the game, just go around, talk to characters, use radio for some additional information about what you have left behind and what is waiting for you in the next chapter. Even the small details as guitar and teddy bear that I found for little girl is in the train, it's not like "yea you found it, that's it", you can see how person that you have helped is grateful and happy. Shit I lost my ability to talk in english, I just finished the game and I'm sad.

Hats down. Best single player fps game I've ever played. For anybody just starting this gold do it on hardcore. The immersion is unreal! I am 30 yrs old and I had rolled some tears a few times.
I played every other metro game on hardcore too. The ranger mode or iron mode (I believe if you die in the iron mode you have to start from the scratch because in Gears of War 4 that’s the case) are to fucked up for me. I’m the kind of gamer who hates it if the KI is dumb af but that doesn’t matter because they can kill you in an instant. In games like dark souls you need to be focused and patient but in games like metro it only tilts you because they make a „dumb“ ki but give her more damage and health and don’t make them „smarter“ or let them learn the way you play (like in middle earth shadow of war I think) to force you to be one step ahead and change your play style regularly.
They missed a perfect opportunity to put one of my favorite characters in the afterlife: Ulman. Seriously, they should have included him in this just for him to crack a witty joke and provide some insight on Artyom’s actions/death. It felt incomplete without him since he played a pretty significant role in Artyom’s journey

I came here cuz I just finished the game, although I got the "good" ending, they are both sad, nothing can ever come out good of an apocalypse. I came here to see if other people cried too, because I cried, and stayed really sad for hours, I felt like I had lost someone of my family, especially when Miller called me "son" and used his only injection so I could live, really made me cry the most. With the sad ending, Anna's speech really killed me inside. I've finished the game almost 8 hours ago and I can't get over it :'( Metro is so immersive I feel like my family and friends have died in real life...
I cried. I remember a quote from the first metro : "'The chaos of the tunnel was locked away behind the airlock gates. They seemed invulnerable...and at that moment, so did my comrades."
It really feels like the Dark Ones helped Artjom by guiding him with Visions. Also showing Millers thoughts.... that would explain the sudden Paranormal stuff and the Dark One appearing on the Roof before you enter.
@@level100boss3 The Gorilla's are partially (failed?) dark ones i believe. Artyoms psychic link only works with dark ones, and if the dark one specifically links artyoms mind with others. Artyom can hear the gorilla's thoughts as its hunting him. Although it can be explained away as hallucinations from radiation sickness, I don't honestly believe this is the case.
@Haruhi no that's probably the dark one you spot on top of the building psychically linking you to the thoughts of the gorillas. Remember how the little dark one did the same thing in Last Light? He probably was also the one who gave you all those visions throughout the last mission, helped Miller inexplicably find you, and kept you alive through that radiation that should've killed you a long time ago, hence why Katya didn't even understand how you were still alive
10:33 I literally started crying because no one did ever come up to me like a ,,hero” and hug me. Otherwise, no other game than this and Witcher 3 made me cry like crazy. I am so grateful for it.
In all honesty. Both endings were somber and sad. Whereas Miller dies, Artyom carries his weight and position, saves Anna and leads the Order into an unseen Future. In the ending where both die. They die a heroes death with honors, reverence and mourning. Both are good, because both are inherently bad endings. There are no happy endings in or after nuclear war. Just survivors who carry the sorrow.
IMO i think Miller died by sacrifice his rad shot. Remember the kid said he had three. We saw anthoym take his but not millers. Miller injects Anthoym when he finds him.
Am I the only one who found it interesting that the Dark Ones weren’t seen at all in this game? Edit: I understand that I missed the little dark one on top of the institute but still, there was no interaction/conversation with the little dark one like in Last Light.
There is supposed to be DLC i wouldn't believe if they didn't add them in later for a mission. The good ending is a cliffhanger saying we might as well go help out making you think that we will see more to come. I also got the sad ending and was depressed for a while.

This Is how you get the good ending - Don’t kill enemies that are wounded crying out in pain - Do the side missions (just in case) especially hostage involved activities - Don’t kill surrendering enemies -Don’t kill the enemies in certain areas (It’s hinted in the dialogue and clip board) I won’t go into details due to minor spoilers
I got the good ending, all you have to do is keep 3 certain people alive. Doing side quests and etc isn't needed but only in the the caspian does doing side quests help.
Yeah. I got the bad ending because during the forest part I was told not to kill a certain group of people even though they wanted to kill me. And I ended up sneaking around and killing them anyways instead of knocking them out. I also only freed 1 slave my whole play through and killed a few people who were surrendering to me. Now I’m going back for play through 2 to get the good ending. Plus I barely explored the points of interest. I just did main story quest.
I killed wounded enemies, I rescued hostages, kept key players alive and knocked out surrendering enemies. If you do enough good it'll outweigh the bad i supppose
I can't beieve the critics gave it an average score, saying the game is too "buggy". What a bunch of brainded dumbasses. I bet they spat on the game because they didn't get bribed. Vermins. This game has to be one of the best games ever produced, a cinematic masterpiece, a roller coaster of emotions, a captivating storyline, an ultra immersive game, and unbeatable atmosphere. Never has a game had suck an immersive and overwhelming atmosphere.
@@1yoan3 they gave it a pretty good score of 8/10 for the majority of critics? that's not average 5-6 is an average score. although i think it was overlooked by many people. i personally give it an 8/10 too. the cinematic parts are a little too much for me. like the bear cinematic part didn't flow too good imo. also some of the voice acting could have been better. though they did a phenomenal job with the world and atmosphere. the survival horror aspect was strong with this game. it was a little buggy but not like bethesda buggy. and my game kept crashing until i looked online for setting recommendations. then it got fixed for the most part. overall it was a great experience and it did push the bar a bit for an immersive post apocalyptic world

My grandfather died 4 years ago. Then Metro came out a year later and it's just broke me. They just look act and sound almost the same both colonels too. I was happy to see him again but the ending just made me cry. I still cry everytime i see the ending. i miss you grandpa.
The moment Anna was 1st coughing i was like, "She's gonna be sick, and i(Artyom) was gonna have to go on an suicide expedition. Someone is gonna die on the last mission, good or bad ending." Also, i gotten the good ending. Ran like crazy on the last mission and founded all the exits by luck. Artyom you lucky bastard.
i was so attached to artyome and anna’s relationship. although i got the bad ending, i was hoping to find that medicine for anna i was literally driven to do whatever i could to get that for her. i played on hardest difficulty with no hud so it was hard but the drive to make anna better was strong. i love this series and i’m excited that they are continuing the series. after seeing the good ending i have a feeling the next game will be based off that. maybe going back to bring all the good people they can to their new home, helping anyone they can just like colonial said. solid 10/10 for me. so immersive so good. a masterpiece
Just finished the game today. I had played all the metro games so far so I was already attached to some of the characters. But this was the best followed by last light and then the original. Everything about this game was amazing the visuals, the different game mechanics and especially the music. The realism of crafting, weapon customization and maintenance, the day cycle along with weather, different locations with different environments, the fine details to character development and minute details throughout the game. Developing relations with different people and how they come and go in life. The vehicles especially the railcar was so much fun. The Karma system to do good to others and getting replied in kind in the future. That ending made me cry though. Other game developers could definitely learn a lot from this series.
@@DrDemento456 That's the main highlight of the metro series- *scavenging for supplies* . Else it would be just as any other action game. In fact in metro last light there is one of the dlc where to get to play as a S.T..A.L.K.E.R or a person who goes to the surface to scavenge for items that others wouldn't. I'm happy that they removed that because if they had the currency it meant we had to go to a shop to discover new or special weapons or attachments or ammo. Whereas now we get to craft ammo, explore the map and find new weapons and different attachments for said weapons which adds a whole new aspect of realism to it.
One strongly disagree there. We are rating the game on a few things, length, gameplay, environment and story. Obviously in the first 2 respects id say it beats the first 2 games easily but with environment I really don't know. No doubts the areas in this game looked beautiful graphic wise but the series is called metro and something about going around in the open world just didn't do it for me. The maps also got gradually smaller with less to do. The first they packed alot of secrets and bonus objectives but in the dessert there was hardly anything to do and then the third map was just bad. It was a tiny map with hardly anywhere to go and literally no bonus objectives or nothing to explore at all. The best parts of this game ironically were probably the start and the last mission around the dead city and metro tunnels again. But even then the last part of the game was sooo boring. It was an extended sneak section avoiding a gorrila. That was the last part of this game. Rip any epic firefight or race to anywhere. Nope just sneak around an over sized monkey and game over. Will give it credit for one of the most immersive sections in the spider den when it forces your light off that was pretty incredible but the rest meh. Storywise too the 3rd game is by far the worst. Set out on a train journey to find a nice place to live but there are so many large skips with nothing explained so few interesting characters just all around so little impact and again I still stand by killing miller and they way he went out were just some of the worst story moments in gaming. Such a pathetic death for such a great character. The first game was so short so didn't really have a big story so hard to call it good or bad it was just meh but last light was an amazing story honestly. Also where the fuck are the dark ones? They left at the end of 2 and said we will see you again, they love radiation we got to the most radiated city yet and the dark ones aren't there? Such an easy and great story point to bring them back there but nothing. Again another point why 3 sucks just missed opportunities. If we wanna rate this game on everything and not just a post emotional ending to over rate the game like you did then the order from best to worst would be last light exodus 2033. And again the only reason 2033 is worst and no exodus is because it's pretty much a 5 hour game with hardly any content at all. By all rights exodus story was so bad that it deserves last.
@@slayerr4365 opinions can differ I experienced the game in different ways than you did. So expecting there to be a generalized yes or no doesn't seem fair. You mentioned that the desert was not that long and there wasn't much to do. It was very vast and there were a lot of things to do and lot of locations to visit. So either you didn't fully use the binoculars and map the area out very well or are just mistaken. On some of the points you mentioned I will agree. Like it being about metro buy there were not much tunnels and all. But you have to consider the story arch. This game series was not meant to be like far cry or assassins creed where they did the same thing over and over. The whole metro is based on the life in the metro and how though many challenges they made it out.there was the dark ones appearance inthe last level I think. I remember seeing something like the dark ones on the roof and then disappearing.
@@kkdias9924 Every "thing to do" was just a copy and paste bandit camp where you can go through them and you might get an accessory for one of your guns.. That or free slaves that give no dialogue or story after you do. I don't consider these good things in a game because there is zero entertainment to get from it apart from the tiny amount of scavenging and upgrading your weapons. But then in the end they really make that point worthless too because that random bandit camp you spent 15 minutes raiding and exploring and found a new gun? When you do the next story mission that same gun is just sitting right there on a table. So explore or not you get the exact same. I didn't follow the dev cycle of metro exodus but the game felt like it was rushed or they just go lazy the longer they go into the game. First zone was amazing was really loving it, so many different enemies different places to go alot of different side missions. Dessert map there was pretty much 3 or 4 enemies and that's it another mutant literally just coloured different copy and pasted side missions with no variety and a smaller map with 1/3 of it being dead sea. Then in the 3rd map we get to the worst by far first of all over 60% of the map was dead space you couldn't travel and there was literally almost zero side missions no where good to explore and no new enemies at all. Wolves are nothing new and the bear monster is legit a copy from metro last light they changed nothing... The third jungle map wasn't even open world it was extremely linear you had to go in a straight line because all other routes were blocked off by water or fences. Not to mention you are locked away from the train the entire map so there is no interaction with the crew it was just horrible. Then the final "map" wasn't really a map because was just linear progression but it was really solid for all the parts with miller and even then for a bit while we were alone it was great but when we got to the you have to sneak around the dark ones portion and that was the last thing in the game literally 30 minutes of sneaking around dark ones to collect some medicine and game over.. Just no. I always argue this. Liking games is opinion yes. But a game being objectively bad is a fact, and this game was bad if you break it down honestly. It has it's good points but most bad games have some good points. Doesn't redeem them. Especially metro is a story driven game it has no multiplayer so when the story is shit the game is a failure.
I learned from the old games that you should not just kill everything you see. The game learn you if you just kill everything you no better then the enemy. When I got the good ending I was happy that I only killed when had to so ma man could live and it paid off.

I got good as well, though to be fair I played the first metro and got the bad ending... which was the true ending?... then the good in last light so by the time I got to Exodus I knew how the game worked.
I love that this game actually had real consequences to being good/bad, the good ending really feels emotional and fulfilling, it actually feels like all your hardship pays off etc whilst the bad ending actually feels painful and punishing. Great game series, Exodus was a terrific wrap up and I like the series waay better than the books! Characters are treated better and the ending is much nicer

Based on things i think he said in the game and in the novel he is a "reincarnation" of gengis khan (hope i wrote that correctly) and possibly the last reincarnation of him which could mean he can reincarnate but not 100% sure
He's like a Shaman/Monk, he teach me to don't hurt the spark ghosts, to save the Dark Ones, to avoid the savage creatures, he can go to special places were he can change the destiny, so he can go to other worlds
Khan is one of the best character of this saga, so interesting to have him around, to listen him talking and his views of the post-apocaliptic world and of the metro are extremely compelling!
Man i was so late to this but duke was the only one that died and i was sure i had the bad ending the whole time but it got me seeing that i still survived and got the good ending

I may be the only one but I feel they need to give Artyom an in game voice now where he actually talks and have to make choices. It goes against all the past games but now he’s the commander. He has to talk and make decisions
actually u hear artyoms voice through the entire game, for example, when u are in the loading screen and there is a text on the left talking about the story(they are mainly cut-outs of the dialogues of the storyline), artyom will be the one reading them.

This game is just wow i havent played exodus until today so i never knew about the story or how it ended having played metro last light years ago as a teen. i decided to download the trilogy and play it like it was my first time. Man this game is such a masterpiece it blew me away.

I really think it was a bad way to end a game. I think it was it's biggest flaw. Especially how it was not one single decision in the end to make your ending good or bad, it happened all though out the game where your decision would not affect the outcome of if you were to live or not. After waiting over 5 years to play another game, I get the bad ending because of "mistakes" I made? I bought you game and played in my preferred style and you essentially punish me for it?

A legit 4th game scenario could be something like this: - The survivors create a new base/city in that Baikal lake place, and build up defences to protect themselves from bandits and mutants. - At the same time, Artyum must go on missions from all around Russia to save/recruit people and solve problems such as lack of supplies to survive.. - In the game you will visit back The Forest for Olga and the tree kids, the desert slaves Ghul and back to Moscow for the people from Metro. - Back in Moscow you will be forced to fight against Hanza, Red Line, 4th Reich, Bandits, Mutants etc... So there would be more RPG/RTS elements such as in FrostPunk game to manage the colony in a First Person perspective, with open world maps.. with tough decisions to make, with also different endings.. that would be a decent METRO 4 game I would say..

I expected little more of content from Taiga and Novosibirsk. I thought it would be similar as Volga and Caspian Sea regions. You know little question marks so I can go there and investigate.
Baklly there were question marks on Taiga, you just had to find them, though they’re mostly just the nests and dens and obviously there’s less than in the 2 main open levels because the map is way smaller and more linear. Personally I like the levels the way they are and the length of the game is great. They’re even improving.

I'm happy for how things turned out in the good ending, even if it is sad. There is something in Colonel Miller's monologue at the end that just makes me have a huge respect for him. He accepts his fate with dignity and passes the command to Artyom. Also, that line: "I like it here, I would want to stay here forever. Can you arrange that for me?", made me burst into laughter. Besides, in the last scene, Artyom finally speaks to his peers!
I think it might be the canon ending too. In the previous game, wasn't Anna crying in the end when telling her small child about their father, Artyom? She might be pregnant at the end. They explicitly had just had sex in one scene in this game.
Developers often underestimate the gaming prowess of a dedicated player. It's not surprising at all when someone can take a 30hr campaign game and finish it in a day.

Never have i ever in my life felt this much respect to a fictional game character as i felt for Colonel Miller. The Old man was with us from the start in Metro 2033. Found D6 together, then he got busy in last light as the Commander of D6 but does come at the end to defend it. And now finally in Exodus he went on his final mission with Artyom and died like a Hero. I salute you Colonel.

So Captain Miller not only found the map, but finds artyom, goes back to find the kid, saves him from mutated beasts, carries him to the truck as well and drives us half way to the train. He is truly a legend, the real protagonist of the game. Salute.

COLONEL Miller. Get it right, trooper! And Both Miller and Artyom have been doing protagonist shenanigans for a long time. Miller's just been at it a lot longer than Artyom. He was a soldier when the bombs fell and raised the Spartan Order from the ground up, alongside raising his only daughter, earned the respect of his troops and the people of the Metro and got a cool personalized Railgun that nobody else had. It sounds like things a main character in an RPG achieves. He's had a life just as storied as Artyom's, and in the good ending Artyom has the chance to bring his own life even further than Miller's.
What did I have to do to get the good ending? By the way, I like the end of Artyom and Miller's sacrifice to save Anna. Sad but great
@@mohammedtemimi1980 From Damir, Duke, and Alyosha, you need at least 2 out of the 3 of them to be present and willing to give Artyom blood at the end. This is determined by your moral points in each chapter. Duke survives the Bridge Escape if you've been kind to the cult, saved their people from Bandits, and avoided killing them so they're willing to hold fire. Damir stays if you've done many things to help the tribal slaves in the Caspian Sea so he feels indebted to you and doesn't feel the need to stay to help his people. Alyosha must leave the Taiga on good terms with Olga and the forest children, so Artyom must avoid bloodshed with them whenever he can. If you fail the moral check he will be crippled and hold a grudge against Artyom for hurting Olga and the Forest children.
Also saves Artyom with HIS "green stuff" dose that could've save himself.. but decided to save Artyom instead

@@GX2re You pretty much have to avoid killing anyone unless they are shooting at you. For example, when a bandit surrenders, and you end up killing him, that will give you bad moral points. I got the good ending by doing that, only killing the people that shoot at me.

I literally finished this gem of a game today. Throughout the game, I was worried about Anna dying but I failed to even consider that Miller would make the ultimate sacrifice so that both Artyom and Anna can live the life that they deserve. This final music and that ending sequence in general brought me to tears. Seeing our crew rush in to aid Artyom gave me all kinds of chills. And that ending scene where every crew member sits by our bedside either worried sick or giving blood while we talk to Miller in the afterlife and bid him farewell just brought a rush of emotions. It was all executed splendidly to say the least.
Artyom is a hero. Miller is a legend!
Honestly when I finished the game I nearly cried since miller has been there in the 3 metro games, miller was a great character and the sad part was he even called Artyom son.
I knew Miller will die, I think I played too many games and watched too many movies.
The game needed one more chapter IMO.
I just finished it and I was the same exact way. Such a good game.
This is why we put so many hours into these games. The characters become real and you develop feelings for them. It's sad to see the credit rolls because when that happens you are taking one last look at your friends and saying goodbye. I like to replay certain games just to see my friends one more time.
That "bad ending" hits different. Its much more powerful and emotional. The 3 gun salute had me in tears
The 3 gun salute is so sad, knowing that Artyom let his friends down and allowed people to die. Turned into a monster who butchered everyone in his path, and for that had nobody by his side when he needed it the most.
Having played the game twice now getting each ending id super disagree. Maybe it's an extension of the good ending being locked behind needing to play like the mc has 40 IQ and sneaking through everything in the game making sure to never kill a single thing in the game even though they all want to kill you because that's naughty, but I couldn't care less when Artyom died. Miller on the other hand was hugely emotional his death had so much impact on the story and seeming he dies in both endings the only difference is what personality he leaves on.
Good ending he thanks you calls you his son is happy his daughter and the crew have somewhere good to live and raise children now... Really fits his personality of being a great guy.
Bad ending he just goes woooo we both dead who cares let the living deal with whatever problems they have now not our problem. That personality really stinks doesn't match the character he was in the metro games at all.
I think the difference in the personality the game gives miller really highlights which is the good and bad ending artyom living is just like ok whatever look forward to the next metro if there is anymore where we need to let everyone try to kill us and never hurt them in return for another good ending because he is insane woo.

what broke me was Anna saying she hates artyom and loves him so much at the same time. Their future severed just like that. They got to their dream place but at what cost? Just, goddammit man.... almost feel like the bad ending should not be a thing so that people can end the game on a good note. Just make one good canon ending that ties up a loose end and gives a hopeful future. Because this other one man... Anna would be broken for decades, if they even live that long.

Not a rocket science I only ever played blind ranger hard core and never got bad ending in any metro series however I did fuck up in bioshock 2 by harvesting those girls teeth what a monster I was
@that guy you never need that in exodus. Conversation moral points are in last light also you never ever need to skip fighting bad guys in any games it does not take away moral points. But if you shoot benevolent factions or kids of animals you get a penalty pretty straight forward tbh
@that guy that is not true tho in last light you get good ending if u spare bear cubs watchamn pup dragons pup on the roof if you listen to convos and spear commie guy . otherwise you can full kill wild life and other enemy soldiers that are not key story npc and you get good ending. i never got bad ending and i am pretty blood thirsty i just let go of full killing main npcs if they have understandable motivations.

I think it could. It wasn't too long they finally added the Sam DLC. This one could be sort of a Co-op survival game mode where you play different maps and try to survive with friends as much as you can against endless hordes of mutants.

I got the good ending first try to but the worst part is with Duke and Damir i know what i did for them to be ok but Alyosha I'm not sure if its because i didn't kill any of the forest people or because i made the bear flee on the first encounter.
@@deman182 You can't kill any of the Pioneers or Pirates, just speed through the first encounter by running away, and cutting the line and going up the ladder. You're supposed to fight him at the end.
Patchwork I think with Alyosha you can’t kill the Pirates after the girl said not to kill them. When she told me not to kill them I did it anyways and Alyosha got shot at the end of the mission.
Just finished around 10 minutes ago with the good ending. I think the finale was the most intense yet most calm sequence I have ever had the pleasure of playing. There was no epic firefight and giant monster, just you fighting against your worst enemy: the environment, reminding you what the real horror in the post-apocalypse is. No game has ever made me so emotionally invested in its supporting characters and have an ending sequence that made me feel so many emotions at once before.
one of the only games making me feel the feels this much like the metro was GTA V i mean that game had such a great ending and you connected with the characters so well. also witcher 3 loved that game too
That's it! I saw people complaining that the game has no big fights or a main antagonist, but the real threat is there all the time, as you said, it's the environment! Metro was always about the atmosphere, the moral, and not big fights and bosses. This game is pure art, it's a gem when it comes to story driven shooters, I think it's the best I've played ever.

@@Jeffro2510 It didn't. In the book the Spartans were paired on their bloodtype so that if one goes down in the field the transfusion is always available. Duke's comments were a throwback to that.
Well, to be fair, Artyom is AB+, which makes him a universal recipient. He can take blood from any type. And if Duke had the same blood type, he could as well.
It foreshadowed it. "Spartan blood" the whole crew must have had the same blood for such reasons.

8:45 i cried so much, seeing Miller pass away due to the lethal radiation just made me ball my eyes out, he sacrificed himself by giving the last green stuff serum to save Artyom knowing he knew his time was up and that he wanted Artyom to live to take care of his daughter Anna. Miller was like a father figure to me like my own grandpa when my grandpa was around when i was a kid, a grumpy old man but still had a heart and still cared. especially when Miller called Artyom his son.. Much respect to miller and I salute him as he passed away like a true hero/soldier.

I guess the enhanced edition makes a difference. When you move Miller over, you can see through his mask and see his eyes wide open and lifeless. The pat came off as a "farewell, you did good...Dad"
Literaly finished it and a couple minutes ago and thought i got the bad ending because Miller died but i guess to save his daughters life he had to sacrifice his. I literally balled at Miller dying and im a grown man.

I honestly never had a game make me cry and by that logic I thought none could make me cry. But this game is just so good and powerful. I was in tears during the whole driving scene until the credits. The music during the driving scene just multiplied its impact tenfold for me! Truly a masterpiece, we need to protect this series and 4A Games. We are lucky to have them.
To me I got the good ending and it almost didn't get me. I know it's a complete different game but Nier Automata got me good and Horizon Zero Dawn too...

Finished the game a couple hours ago and was curious to see the bad ending. In the good ending which I was happy to get I started to cry not only after Miller died(yes I cried like the rest of you don’t deny it) but when everyone was hoping for you to stay alive and giving their blood to you. Duke and Alyosha’s little pick me ups really got me balling with how connected I was with everyone on the train. Metro series is the one of the greatest series of all time and Exodus is an absolute masterpiece to add onto the series.

This game is just art. I'd say personally it's been perfected carefully and executed perfectly too. Both endings are good in a specific sense, The bad ending is clearly worse but it's not awful. The game series is where I started, And now to find a Metro 2033 book lol.

metro games are so underrated, this is by far the best game of the series, from the driving scene with the added ost and when artyom shook miller to find out he passed on the passenger seat. I legit thought that Duke and Damir had to necessarily die/stay back . The chapter for Alyhosa was FULL of people telling me to don't harm any of the local so i didn't and when i got the trophy for saving him something clicked in my mind , i then realized that i fucked up. Well , that is still a good game. I appreciated the last part that give a full throwback to old metro playstyle , alone in the metro and the escape from the gorilla.
Also , my language got fully translated , hearing the gorilla " aaaah food , come here " in my language while shitting my pants was a majestic experience.

Bit late but, i actually had Duke die on me, but i still got the good ending. As there are 3 members you can lose across the campaign: Duke, Damir and Alyosha i believe. Atleast 2 of those 3 need to survive to get the good ending.

I spent hours looking for info about the future of Metro and couldn't find anything except some posts saying, that 4A won't be making new Metro game for PC platform and that Artyom's story is ended, however there was no source and I don't believe that shit. Metro is the game, that shows for all of the world, how today's games should look like, not only because it looks pretty, has amazing graphics, but the design, the passion, the story, characters, the small details. Those small walks on the train after every major chapter was soooo nice, it was my probably favorite part of the game, just go around, talk to characters, use radio for some additional information about what you have left behind and what is waiting for you in the next chapter. Even the small details as guitar and teddy bear that I found for little girl is in the train, it's not like "yea you found it, that's it", you can see how person that you have helped is grateful and happy.

Hats down. Best single player fps game I've ever played. For anybody just starting this gold do it on hardcore. The immersion is unreal! I am 30 yrs old and I had rolled some tears a few times.

I played every other metro game on hardcore too. The ranger mode or iron mode (I believe if you die in the iron mode you have to start from the scratch because in Gears of War 4 that’s the case) are to fucked up for me. I’m the kind of gamer who hates it if the KI is dumb af but that doesn’t matter because they can kill you in an instant. In games like dark souls you need to be focused and patient but in games like metro it only tilts you because they make a „dumb“ ki but give her more damage and health and don’t make them „smarter“ or let them learn the way you play (like in middle earth shadow of war I think) to force you to be one step ahead and change your play style regularly.

They missed a perfect opportunity to put one of my favorite characters in the afterlife: Ulman. Seriously, they should have included him in this just for him to crack a witty joke and provide some insight on Artyom’s actions/death. I came here cuz I just finished the game, although I got the "good" ending, they are both sad, nothing can ever come out good of an apocalypse.
I came here to see if other people cried too, because I cried, and stayed really sad for hours, I felt like I had lost someone of my family, especially when Miller called me "son" and used his only injection so I could live, really made me cry the most.
With the sad ending, Anna's speech really killed me inside.

Artyoms psychic link only works with dark ones, and if the dark one specifically links artyoms mind with others.
Artyom can hear the gorilla's thoughts as its hunting him. Although it can be explained away as hallucinations from radiation sickness, I don't honestly believe this is the case.
@Haruhi no that's probably the dark one you spot on top of the building psychically linking you to the thoughts of the gorillas. Remember how the little dark one did the same thing in Last Light? He probably was also the one who gave you all those visions throughout the last mission, helped Miller inexplicably find you, and kept you alive through that radiation that should've killed you a long time ago, hence why Katya didn't even understand how you were still alive

This Is how you get the good ending
- Don’t kill enemies that are wounded crying out in pain
- Do the side missions (just in case) especially hostage involved activities
- Don’t kill surrendering enemies
-Don’t kill the enemies in certain areas (It’s hinted in the dialogue and clip board) I won’t go into details due to minor spoilers
I got the good ending, all you have to do is keep 3 certain people alive. Doing side quests and etc isn't needed but only in the the caspian does doing side quests help.
Yeah. I got the bad ending because during the forest part I was told not to kill a certain group of people even though they wanted to kill me. And I ended up sneaking around and killing them anyways instead of knocking them out. I also only freed 1 slave my whole play through and killed a few people who were surrendering to me. Now I’m going back for play through 2 to get the good ending. Plus I barely explored the points of interest. I just did main story quest.

I killed wounded enemies, I rescued hostages, kept key players alive and knocked out surrendering enemies. If you do enough good it'll outweigh the bad i supppose

This game has to be one of the best games ever produced, a cinematic masterpiece, a roller coaster of emotions, a captivating storyline, an ultra immersive game, and unbeatable atmosphere. Never has a game had suck an immersive and overwhelming atmosphere.

@@1yoan3 they gave it a pretty good score of 8/10 for the majority of critics? that's not average 5-6 is an average score. although i think it was overlooked by many people. i personally give it an 8/10 too. the cinematic parts are a little too much for me. like the bear cinematic part didn't flow too good imo. also some of the voice acting could have been better. though they did a phenomenal job with the world and atmosphere. the survival horror aspect was strong with this game. it was a little buggy but not like bethesda buggy. and my game kept crashing until i looked online for setting recommendations. then it got fixed for the most part. overall it was a great experience and it did push the bar a bit for an immersive post apocalyptic world

i was so attached to artyome and anna’s relationship. although i got the bad ending, i was hoping to find that medicine for anna i was literally driven to do whatever i could to get that for her. i played on hardest difficulty with no hud so it was hard but the drive to make anna better was strong. i love this series and i’m excited that they are continuing the series. after seeing the good ending i have a feeling the next game will be based off that. maybe going back to bring all the good people they can to their new home, helping anyone they can just like colonial said. solid 10/10 for me. so immersive so good. a masterpiece
Just finished the game today. I had played all the metro games so far so I was already attached to some of the characters. But this was the best followed by last light and then the original. Everything about this game was amazing the visuals, the different game mechanics and especially the music. The realism of crafting, weapon customization and maintenance, the day cycle along with weather, different locations with different environments, the fine details to character development and minute details throughout the game. Developing relations with different people and how they come and go in life. The vehicles especially the railcar was so much fun. The Karma system to do good to others and getting replied in kind in the future.
That ending made me cry though.
Other game developers could definitely learn a lot from this series.
My only complaint was they got rid of the bullet currency if it had that instead of finding ammo everywhere the game would be gold
@@DrDemento456 That's the main highlight of the metro series- *scavenging for supplies* . Else it would be just as any other action game. In fact in metro last light there is one of the dlc where to get to play as a S.T..A.L.K.E.R or a person who goes to the surface to scavenge for items that others wouldn't. I'm happy that they removed that because if they had the currency it meant we had to go to a shop to discover new or special weapons or attachments or ammo. Whereas now we get to craft ammo, explore the map and find new weapons and different attachments for said weapons which adds a whole new aspect of realism to it.
One strongly disagree there. We are rating the game on a few things, length, gameplay, environment and story. Obviously in the first 2 respects id say it beats the first 2 games easily but with environment I really don't know. No doubts the areas in this game looked beautiful graphic wise but the series is called metro and something about going around in the open world just didn't do it for me. The maps also got gradually smaller with less to do. The first they packed alot of secrets and bonus objectives but in the dessert there was hardly anything to do and then the third map was just bad. It was a tiny map with hardly anywhere to go and literally no bonus objectives or nothing to explore at all. The best parts of this game ironically were probably the start and the last mission around the dead city and metro tunnels again. But even then the last part of the game was sooo boring. It was an extended sneak section avoiding a gorrila. That was the last part of this game. Rip any epic firefight or race to anywhere. Nope just sneak around an over sized monkey and game over. Will give it credit for one of the most immersive sections in the spider den when it forces your light off that was pretty incredible but the rest meh.
Storywise too the 3rd game is by far the worst. Set out on a train journey to find a nice place to live but there are so many large skips with nothing explained so few interesting characters just all around so little impact and again I still stand by killing miller and they way he went out were just some of the worst story moments in gaming. Such a pathetic death for such a great character. The first game was so short so didn't really have a big story so hard to call it good or bad it was just meh but last light was an amazing story honestly. Also where the fuck are the dark ones? They left at the end of 2 and said we will see you again, they love radiation we got to the most radiated city yet and the dark ones aren't there? Such an easy and great story point to bring them back there but nothing. Again another point why 3 sucks just missed opportunities.
If we wanna rate this game on everything and not just a post emotional ending to over rate the game like you did then the order from best to worst would be last light exodus 2033. And again the only reason 2033 is worst and no exodus is because it's pretty much a 5 hour game with hardly any content at all. By all rights exodus story was so bad that it deserves last.
@@slayerr4365 opinions can differ I experienced the game in different ways than you did. So expecting there to be a generalized yes or no doesn't seem fair. You mentioned that the desert was not that long and there wasn't much to do. It was very vast and there were a lot of things to do and lot of locations to visit. So either you didn't fully use the binoculars and map the area out very well or are just mistaken. On some of the points you mentioned I will agree. Like it being about metro buy there were not much tunnels and all. But you have to consider the story arch. This game series was not meant to be like far cry or assassins creed where they did the same thing over and over. The whole metro is based on the life in the metro and how though many challenges they made it out.there was the dark ones appearance inthe last level I think. I remember seeing something like the dark ones on the roof and then disappearing.
@@kkdias9924 Every "thing to do" was just a copy and paste bandit camp where you can go through them and you might get an accessory for one of your guns.. That or free slaves that give no dialogue or story after you do. I don't consider these good things in a game because there is zero entertainment to get from it apart from the tiny amount of scavenging and upgrading your weapons. But then in the end they really make that point worthless too because that random bandit camp you spent 15 minutes raiding and exploring and found a new gun? When you do the next story mission that same gun is just sitting right there on a table. So explore or not you get the exact same.
I didn't follow the dev cycle of metro exodus but the game felt like it was rushed or they just go lazy the longer they go into the game. First zone was amazing was really loving it, so many different enemies different places to go alot of different side missions. Dessert map there was pretty much 3 or 4 enemies and that's it another mutant literally just coloured different copy and pasted side missions with no variety and a smaller map with 1/3 of it being dead sea. Then in the 3rd map we get to the worst by far first of all over 60% of the map was dead space you couldn't travel and there was literally almost zero side missions no where good to explore and no new enemies at all. Wolves are nothing new and the bear monster is legit a copy from metro last light they changed nothing... The third jungle map wasn't even open world it was extremely linear you had to go in a straight line because all other routes were blocked off by water or fences. Not to mention you are locked away from the train the entire map so there is no interaction with the crew it was just horrible.
Then the final "map" wasn't really a map because was just linear progression but it was really solid for all the parts with miller and even then for a bit while we were alone it was great but when we got to the you have to sneak around the dark ones portion and that was the last thing in the game literally 30 minutes of sneaking around dark ones to collect some medicine and game over.. Just no.
I always argue this. Liking games is opinion yes. But a game being objectively bad is a fact, and this game was bad if you break it down honestly. It has it's good points but most bad games have some good points. Doesn't redeem them. Especially metro is a story driven game it has no multiplayer so when the story is shit the game is a failure.
I learned from the old games that you should not just kill everything you see. The game learn you if you just kill everything you no better then the enemy. When I got the good ending I was happy that I only killed when had to so ma man could live and it paid off.

I got good as well, though to be fair I played the first metro and got the bad ending... which was the true ending?... then the good in last light so by the time I got to Exodus I knew how the game worked.

I love that this game actually had real consequences to being good/bad, the good ending really feels emotional and fulfilling, it actually feels like all your hardship pays off etc whilst the bad ending actually feels painful and punishing. Great game series, Exodus was a terrific wrap up and I like the series waay better than the books! Characters are treated better and the ending is much nicer
Absolute masterpiece! I haven't been more excited about game's ending ever!!! Glad to see that I was not the only one that put some tears on the final scenes with Miller. Man, it's so emotional at the end! What a brilliant game!

Based on things i think he said in the game and in the novel he is a "reincarnation" of gengis khan (hope i wrote that correctly) and possibly the last reincarnation of him which could mean he can reincarnate but not 100% sure
He's like a Shaman/Monk, he teach me to don't hurt the spark ghosts, to save the Dark Ones, to avoid the savage creatures, he can go to special places were he can change the destiny, so he can go to other worlds
Khan is one of the best character of this saga, so interesting to have him around, to listen him talking and his views of the post-apocaliptic world and of the metro are extremely compelling!

I may be the only one but I feel they need to give Artyom an in game voice now where he actually talks and have to make choices. It goes against all the past games but now he’s the commander. He has to talk and make decisions
actually u hear artyoms voice through the entire game, for example, when u are in the loading screen and there is a text on the left talking about the story(they are mainly cut-outs of the dialogues of the storyline), artyom will be the one reading them.

It pisses me off cause in a couple of scenes some characters are LITERALLY calling him out on the damn radio but he never says ANYTHING to have them make sure that he's okay.
This game is just wow i havent played exodus until today so i never knew about the story or how it ended having played metro last light years ago as a teen. i decided to download the trilogy and play it like it was my first time. Man this game is such a masterpiece it blew me away.

I really think it was a bad way to end a game. I think it was it's biggest flaw. Especially how it was not one single decision in the end to make your ending good or bad, it happened all though out the game where your decision would not affect the outcome of if you were to live or not. After waiting over 5 years to play another game, I get the bad ending because of "mistakes" I made? I bought you game and played in my preferred style and you essentially punish me for it?

just like last light. its just bad game design. I got the bad ending Because killing cannibal bandits, commies and nazis who kill women and children is a "BAD CHOICE".
A legit 4th game scenario could be something like this:
- The survivors create a new base/city in that Baikal lake place, and build up defences to protect themselves from bandits and mutants.
- At the same time, Artyum must go on missions from all around Russia to save/recruit people and solve problems such as lack of supplies to survive..
- In the game you will visit back The Forest for Olga and the tree kids, the desert slaves Ghul and back to Moscow for the people from Metro.
- Back in Moscow you will be forced to fight against Hanza, Red Line, 4th Reich, Bandits, Mutants etc...
So there would be more RPG/RTS elements such as in FrostPunk game to manage the colony in a First Person perspective, with open world maps.. with tough decisions to make, with also different endings.. that would be a decent METRO 4 game I would say..

Seeing as it is at least twice the length of Last Light, which was already longer than 2033, not really.
I expected little more of content from Taiga and Novosibirsk. I thought it would be similar as Volga and Caspian Sea regions. You know little question marks so I can go there and investigate.
Baklly there were question marks on Taiga, you just had to find them, though they’re mostly just the nests and dens and obviously there’s less than in the 2 main open levels because the map is way smaller and more linear. Personally I like the levels the way they are and the length of the game is great. They’re even improving.

But I must say, when I crossed the bridge during night and all those fucking wolves were roaming around, I was scared.

I'm happy for how things turned out in the good ending, even if it is sad.
There is something in Colonel Miller's monologue at the end that just makes me have a huge respect for him. He accepts his fate with dignity and passes the command to Artyom. Also, that line: "I like it here, I would want to stay here forever. Can you arrange that for me?", made me burst into laughter.
Besides, in the last scene, Artyom finally speaks to his peers!
For the first time I actually want the bad ending lol. I liked seeing Eugene, Bourbon and Khan.
I think it might be the canon ending too. In the previous game, wasn't Anna crying in the end when telling her small child about their father, Artyom? She might be pregnant at the end. They explicitly had just had sex in one scene in this game.
