If you're in a pinch and need to seal some dreads as soon as possible, learn how an ordinary blow dryer can help save the day!
    Steps:
    1. Secure the dread form.
    2. Starting at the top, twist the dread.
    3. Use a blow dryer to apply heat, be sure to watch carefully as to not scorch the fiber.
    4. Work in small sections down the remainder of the dread.

What if you got your dread slightly damp then blow dried it? Would that potentially seal it better?

Generally speaking, no. By all means, try it. It will help buffer the impact, but most likely the force will not be enough to get it into the core of the dread. Blow drying tends to be the most finicky of all the methods I have ever tried. Lots of people swear by it, but I think its a bit iffy myself.

@doctoredlocks Ah. Well you learn something new everyday. I thought for sure it would assist with the sealing, but I suppose the heat wouldn't penetrate enough to make the water hot enough...

Looking at the comment below I guess someone has already asked
But with this method, can I not put a damp towel over/wrapped and blow dry? Will the steam not get to the dreads that way?
