Operation Mindcrime is an absolute concept masterpiece! Lyrically & musically perfect. At this moment in time Queensryche was the best band in the world hands down. 🤘🤘

I saw this live way back in the day. I live in the Baltimore area, so I saw the show in Baltimore. They did the Operation: Mindcrime Album from start to finish. They opened with their hits from Empire and then went straight into Operation: Mindcrime. They had this little fledgling band open up for them at the time called Alice in Chains. Man what a concert. AIC was really good, just really starting to dig in, but when Queensryche hit the stage there was no comparison.

You should really watch the entire concert. Operation Mindcrime is a concept album, so you are watching just the last act and epilogue

My favorite song "Suite Sister Mary" is right in the middle, and doesn't really make sense unless you've heard the rest.

they did a 3 part reaction (1st time hearing) video in their car, to Mindcrime , way back. It was my intro to Kel n Rich and it was Epic. It was like reliving Mindcrime for the first time again. It was taken down, but would love to see it again. Can you guys repost it? Rich?

Why is this video rated age 14+? Is it because Kel has breasts, like every other woman ever born? WTF?
BTW, Rich, the Mickey Mouse T-Shirt reminds me of my days in the Marine Corps. I used to wear one under my dress blues as an unseen rebellion to authority.

Um come on….if you listen to Tate’s voice at the beginning of the tour compared to at this time….his voice was a shadow of what it was…..this was the beginning of the end for one of the greatest voices of our time…..probably the greatest voice in the history of pop music…let alone metal…

I saw Queensryche opening for Metallica back in the 80s. They were and still are the tightest band I've ever seen live. Chris DeGarmo is a very underated guitarist.
I've never read anything to confirm it but I'm pretty sure that section that sounds like Pink Floyd is an homage to The Wall.

I bought the box set. VHS Live Crime concert video, Live Crime cassette & a storybook with lyrics to each song, in order telling the story of Operation Mindcrime. Best musical purchase I've ever made.

I was at that exact concert! "Does anybody here in Madison Wisconsin believe in love?" May 9th 1991 with my friend Brad. The day I graduated from broadcasting school! Holy flashback Batman!

I was at the Milwaukee show (also filmed for Livecrime), ironically while attending UW-Madison. Absolutely the best live show I've ever seen, and I'm so glad it's preserved for all time. I swear, I still get tears in my eyes when Geoff Tate and Pamela Moore clasp hands during Suite Sister Mary. And then that finale, with the reprise of Anarchy-X and the final crescendo… so powerful.

If I remember correctly, you listened to the entire album on a drive to a concert. Eyes of a Stranger is a good song by itself, but in the context of the album it is a great song. Mindcrime is one of my top five albums of all time. So happy a guy that I worked with brought it into work one day. I was hooked and bought the cassette (lol) next chance I had. One of the few albums that I bought back then that I still, not just like, but love (CD now of course).

Man Kel you really were sheltered. I grew up in the inner city that’s One of the reasons I related to Queensryche so much. The truths. The lies. Desensitization. OM was everything to me. My first Queensryche album where I was all in. The images that frighten you so much are reality. OM forced me to walk in my childhood shoes & prepare me for another reality. The corporate world where all the corruption is passive, behind closed doors but just as ruthless.

I've seen them twice. The 2nd times, they did this album in its entirety in the first set, then came out and played all their other hits. Operator: Mind crime is a rock opera. The whole album is on long story and should be listened to that way to understand the whole story. Was really a groundbreaking album.

I was late in discovering them. The first QR song I heard from them was Anybody Listening. I was immediately captured and then began my journey through their all their previous songs, and well, fell in love with the band. I was lucky enough to see, and meet them many times! I really miss them all being together!

I saw Metallica on my 21st birthday and Queensryche opened for them in support of Operation Mindcrime. They weren’t able to do what they wanted with it until their next album and tour. Then they played the whole album live. It was so amazing seeing it live. Of course I bought the live album and VHS tape too when it came out. Hahaha
