Yes. It evokes feelings that no other song does, for me. I can't explain it. A lot of music hits me emotionally, but this? It's just...different. Kel's reaction to the instruments coming in visually explains it, but I can't put it into words. It both makes me feel light and makes me cry every time I hear it, without fail.
My mom introduced me to Queensryche and I have to give her credit for my tastes in music. It's been ten years since she passed away at 48 from breast cancer. Yet I still think of her everytime I hear this song. R.I.P. mom Tracie L. Miller 05-03-1962 - 08-28-2010 miss you mom.
I'm reading your post at nearly 48 years old, listening to this song and sitting next to my mother, who's in the hospital due to low BP, but is also battling breast cancer. I feel this. I am so sorry for your loss.
Who's still here in 2024? I've watched this multiple times and it's always still powerful and magical to witness. Thank you to both of you for being such amazing people and humans. Sending love from the UK. [el'sda2].
Kel’s response to “Silent Lucidity “ was one of the most beautiful reactions I’ve ever seen. Thank you, Kel, for sharing this with us. You have blessed us.
THIS. i have come back to this reaction several times since its release. i live for her appreciation and envy that she gets to experience it with such clarity and wide eyed wonder.♥
The most real, true, wholesome reaction I’ve ever witnessed. Enjoy Kel

Amen! I have seen a lot of “Whiskey Tango Foxtrot did I just hear?” Reactions but I have never seen anyone cry, an honest reaction to an amazing piece of music. It was absolutely beautiful to watch.
Just found your channel and have binge watched for several hours now. Love it! Especially when it moves Kel so strongly. "Metal" doesn't move me, but pieces like this, the Kennedy Center Stairway tribute, some Pink Floyd and Emerson/Lake/Palmer, etc. do. Keep it up and I'll catch up to all your videos soon (except maybe the dark metal type stuff, ha).
I have never seen a better reaction before or after Kel’s. This has ruined every other reaction for me. Hers is absolutely the best and most real reaction to a great song!!
Kel, I'm a 55 year old man and I am not ashamed to say that I shed tears every time I hear this song. I haven't watched y'all's videos for a while. Pretty sure I saw this one a while back. What a beautiful and pure reaction to a beautiful and pure piece of music.
Thank you Don! Kel’s here with me. We so appreciate you sharing this song and some very special moments with us once again. We go back and watch this one every so often and are transported right back! Much love 💕 KnR
Seeing the music move Kel to emotion and watching Rich move with emotion because how it is impacting his wife. Such a powerful and beautiful moment....thanks for sharing.
YouDummy fantastic that you are taking a stand for yourself. Lololol we are just sharing awesome music with others here, we are not on YT to sell you anything. What did you think of the song? Had you heard it before?
@@marzreedtube Cool. The whole thing is beautiful. The ending sounds like a nod to Brahms Lullabye. As a drummer, I appreciated the colorful descension on the toms, after Geoff sings, "...come tumbling down...". God bless. Johannes Brahms - Lullaby - UA-cam Also reminds me of an Alan Parsons tune: The Alan Parsons Project - To One In Paradise (1976) - UA-cam
The harmonies in the chorus are uplifting and empowering. It makes me feel like a child being protected by my parents, encouraged to venture out all the while knowing there is a safety net should I fall. So nice to hear why it affected Kel so emotionally. Great reaction!
Rich, I do have to point out also that we could see your emotions throughout the video, from watching the deep emotional impact the song was bringing out in Kel, to the moments where you had a slight tear in your eye, to the point where you know that the "Second" part was coming up and she would once again hit an internal emotion of pleasure, enlightenment and I am sure some angst from all of her past, just almost coming to a point. Having known her for many years and at the end of the video, you wait... patiently. I have watched MANY of your videos, not all, but many. Rich, did you suspect, that this was going to be one of the songs to open the flood gates of emotions? That Kel would just Let loose and get much off her chest, I tell ya one thing... I cried then, I cried when I showed my wife, and I cried again this evening...... Even 6'2" 245lbs men have soft spots...... ONCE again, cheers from Ottawa.
That was, without a doubt, the most intense and gut-wrenching reaction i have ever witnessed. It was as if I were on that journey with you both, a husband who realized the beauty and power of this song, and ,perhaps, the healing qualities it possesses also, and a wife and mother, who took the journey for the very 1st, and, dare I say, not the last, time, a journey of emotional awakenings and realizations. I don't know if there other dimensions, other realities, Heaven, I cannot prove any of it, but I choose to believe and in doing so, I choose to believe I will see those I have loved and lost again and we will know joy and wonder, as we have never known it. I can only imagine the pain and loss you both have and continue to endure, I pray this song brings some healing, and know that a complete stranger, on the other side of the globe, is sending his love and prayers to you both.
This is one of the best reactions videos I've ever seen, the emotion Kel feels is so moving, powerful, easily the best music reactors on here, keep doing what you are doing, through your reactions, I've started listening to other artists I'd never heard of, if you hadn't reacted to them, so thank you both for that
I must admit, this song always gets me...it contains a ton of emotion...but watching a fellow musical pioneer experience this beautiful track really brought tears to my eyes. It looked as though right at the 4:09 mark miss Kel was taken to a place where she was able to push the existing brush and obstacles aside that had placed there by so many throughout her earlier years...and finally see firsthand that just like in the song, yes, her dream is alive. One of the coolest and most genuine moments I've witnessed on the internet. Love you guys and so glad I was able to share that moment as it is quite clear what that meant to you .
That reaction of hers on @ 4:07 secs, is crazy! I know that feeling she's having, because over 20 years later, I still have that same reaction when I hear this song after a long absence. Her reaction by the way, (I'm almost 60) always brings me to tears. That's how incredible that moment is to me.
Very on point, Googo. I've played that part over and over again. Her reaction is amazing. I think it's more than just an "eargasm". Close, though. I think it's more like the song touching the depths of your soul.
Okay. I've watched probably 100's of reaction videos...and that was by far the best true reaction. This song still evokes emotions. thoughts and tears from a genuine soul. Awesome video guys. Cheers
What I love about true artists is that you can’t fit them into one clear box. I love when people discover that the same group that brought you Into the Eyes of a Stranger also can switch it up entirely and level you with Silent Lucidity. That’s the power and palette of an incredible artist such as Queensryche and the vocal performance of Geoff Tate in particular! Enjoy!
I really love your channel. This reaction from Kel transcends the channel and get's into my heart. I am a Queensryche fan from Spain (one of the few). In my wedding speech I had the priviledge of telling my wife that I would always love her in a Silent Lucidity.....
I want to thank you both, I had never heard of Queensryche or Silent Lucidty, the song is beautiful and the group is soooo talented. So grateful to you for leading me to this. Many blessings

The picture is only as small as the focus!~~~... What a wonderful journey in music you must have... This song floods my soul with powerful emotions for so many reasons... We all need an outlet and a vehicle to catch a ride on now and then that carries us away to another place and another time....
I listened to this song for the very first time via this video when it was intially uploaded, so I have this connection with Kel. I had the same exact reaction as her. Every subsequent listen to Silent Lucidity causes deep emotions to rise up within me and tears to fall from me. What a song! What a great couple! Keep those deep songs coming.

I really liked your reaction to this the first time around. Watching it the 2nd time....Love it. Kel has her heart and soul into it, genuine and true I’m going to really enjoy the vault.Great stuff!
If someone where to ask me “if there is one song out there that gives you chills, what song is it?” I would respond with simply “Silent Lucidity by Queensrÿche”
This is my first time to your channel. I came here because I'd been viewing others' reaction to this most stunningly beautiful song. Rich, I appreciate your sincerity and sensitivity towards Kel's musical experience having not been allowed to listen freely to anything but Classical and, hence, never knowing the full joy, exploration, and expression of the sounds ringing through her soul. I also appreciate your being still so as to allow for her complete, unadulterated experience. Kel, your expressions and reaction to the song were as beautiful and meaningful as the song itself. I was so moved by your tears. Those were tears of joy - the sonic boom and overwhelming beauty of the cacophony of orchestral strings and horns married flawlessly to the sweet edge of guitar, bass, synth, and drums with the haunting of Geoff Tate's voice all in the searing moments validating all your heart, mind, and, soul have ever felt, thought of, and longed for musically. This was amazing, moving, and, beautiful to see. Priceless. I loved it! You have a new subscriber! 💖💖💖
4:10. Kel gave me tears of JOY!!!! Help me relive this song!!! Rich at 6:23. Love you man. You knew what was coming the whole song and kept an eye on Kel! WHERE THE HELL IS THE LOVE BUTTON FOR THIS VID!!!!
From beth tate to kel I believe Kel is an Empath and she picked up Geoff’s grief, love and childhood memories as he went back in time while singing and recording Silent Lucidity. He told me it took him 3 tries to get through recording. Geoff was very close to his grandmother, my mother. she passed away suddenly Jan 3,1990..Geoff attended her funeral Jan 6th…just before he had to record Silent Lucidity. His strong feelings, his energy, appears to be imprinted on that album.
I have recently come to realize that there are differences between listening to music and feeling the music. This is one of the bands that showed me that
This song was made for her! I've watched it several times in a row... and I tear up each time! I Love It!! The most Honest, and perfect reactionary video ever!!! God Bless yall!!! Sharing! 😁
I'm old as dirt and was there when this music was new, Daltrey's primal scream at the end of Don't Get Fooled Again did it for me and I shared your reaction when I heard this composition for the first time, a legendary piece of music. I'm glad that you had the chance to hear it too, well done.
Kell, your emotional reaction is completely relatable and easy to understand. This is one of those perfect melodies that can and does invoke so many feelings and memories. Thank you for your honesty and vulnerability in that moment.. You guys are cool people!
Still the best reaction to a song ever. She was completely overwhelmed by this song. It was neat seeing her react to different parts of the song. Very, very cool!❤
This piece is a musical representation of multidimensional thinking. Spiritual, metaphysical, and psychological. If you listen to it from every aspect, you will hear things that are not apparent initially. This is not just a musical experience. It is meant to show us how limited our perceptive abilities are, and what they could be if we were to look beyond the vale of human understanding. These guys were not a run of the mill metal band. They were light-years ahead of 98% of all the other bands from that era. This song became "our song" for me and my ex-wife. I almost feel sad for newer generations of music enthusiasts and musicians. While I appreciate what the digital age has done for production, I can also see what it has taken away. Thanks for your review of this song.
Just watched this video. This song is one of the most beautiful rock ballads ever created and Kel's reaction is... simply priceless. So genuine and intense. And the way Rich looks at his wife, the love in his eyes, going along with her in this small journey. So good.... Definitely the best reaction video I've ever seen. All the best to the both of you and... keep listening to great music. Good music makes life better.
Wow! Just watching Kel's reaction brought me to tears as well. I am a musician like you Kel. Not an elite level classically trained musician like yourself. I am just a guitarist in a rock band and rock and metal have been part of my life since I was very young. I was never denied any of this beautiful music and yet this song brings an emotional response from within me every time I hear it.
Thank you Kel and Rich for retrieving this from 'the vault'. I hope it will be possible to do the same with many more. I was working through your videos and had hundreds more to look forward to, or so I thought! My reactions are often like Kel's, it is lovely to see.
I stumbled across this video by accident. I teared up by your reaction, Kel, it is so pure. At the same time the way Rich looks at you, with so much love... Love this video. Silent Lucidity is pure class. ❤
MB65... thank you so much for saying that. We totally feel where you’re coming from. The thing that ties our show and all of these moments together is a genuine love and respect for each other and for humanity on the whole. If you are moved and possibly feel that much better because of watching it and experiencing the connection, that’s a beautiful thing isn’t it? Most of our videos have this element in it because that’s who we are as people and that’s who we represent as a couple without having to manufacture or force anything. It’s just a wonderful And we are not going to squander this. Much love and appreciation from the two of us. KnR
That is the most honest and beautiful reaction to this song I have ever seen. I've been a queensryche fan since the 80s and this song has always been one of my favorites. Most fans put this song down, I still don't understand other than they put the band in a box and this song didn't fit in that box. An amazing song
Kel’s reaction to Silent Lucidity is still my favorite of all time in the reaction game!!! I love how she goes from inquisitive to surprise to excitement and finishing with euphoria. Truly great music should have this reaction like that it does with Make Sistah Cry (check her out too!).
Thank you so much. You might be surprised to know that Kel, Wolf, Sistah and I have become close friends and have made guest appearances on each other’s shows. We met up at Iron Maiden last summer and have been in regular contact ever since. They live 45 mins from us!
I saw that over the past months! This song came up in My Mix and I ALWAYS think of you two! It’s great to see that the 2 realest couples are now good friends. 🥂
One of the best video I have ever seen. I Should say everyone need to watch it twice. First time to see her emotions, the second trying to understand them, what makes it so beautiful. Amazing. I lost my father on May 29, he introduced me Queensryche, and this music is made for me too, but into a different way and comprehension. My Sincere regards from Brazil. Loved the video and subscribed.
Emotional authenticity, so rare in this world. Thank you for your courage in sharing. That song always brings a joyful tear to my eye. "Feeding your soul" is exactly right
Kell is in a whole different reality While listening to this song. Probably a reality That she needed to go to But did not know how to get there.I Don't know if you are also watching the video while listening to the song,But I would really like to see kel watch The original Video while singing to the song. It just adds a whole other dimension.
I am so incredibly grateful I stumbled onto this beautiful video. I've loved this song since it was released in high school, but Kel's genuine, heartfelt emotional reaction to this beautiful song has made me an absolute teary mess...and I'm so thankful to both of you for it:)
I can ONLY imagine how Kel’s passion world pour out now in her music as she plays now, being musically Free.... Her new found freedom to pour into her piano 🎹
It's unconscious where it comes from. Music is an amazing thing that can touch all emotions without intent. 4 people can become emotional in different ways, about the same song, due to life experiences. Music is powerful, and we don't realize how powerful. Think about this. 2 people in a room, with instruments, but, they talk different languages, so they can't even say hello to one another. If one starts to play, the other will join in. They may play for hours making amazing music, all the time, not being able to even communicate. That's an amazing thing when you put it into perspective. BTW, I bought this record the day it was released, and I had much the same response to the same parts. The song just kept getting bigger and bigger as I listened it's still a great song today..
This is hands-down one of the most beautiful songs ever written. Lyrically and musicly.
One of my favorites
Sometimes a band gets everything correct. This is one of those times.
Yup ...
I totally agree...

@@billrehberg9271 wow your story 😊...and oh my God nights in white satin..,yes!
@@JF-NYC-NJ-Girl Judy...I just drug out some Lps and I would recommend you find "White Bird" by the group (It's a) Beautiful Day.
1st time running across this duo on UA-cam.
What a powerful reaction!!! Every time I hear this it brings back very strong emotions.
Thanks so much for sharing.
The sheer brilliance of Queensryche is mind blowing. They have stupendous talent right across the board.
I really liked your reaction to this the first time around. Watching it the 2nd time....Love it. Kel has her heart and soul into it, genuine and true I’m going to really enjoy the vault.Great stuff!
This is hands down the best reaction that I can find to this beautiful song.
Watching you both react touched me to the core.
If someone where to ask me “if there is one song out there that gives you chills, what song is it?”
I would respond with simply “Silent Lucidity by Queensrÿche”
Every time.
This is one of the bands that showed me that
Still come back to see the reaction ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
This song was made for her! I've watched it several times in a row... and I tear up each time! I Love It!! The most Honest, and perfect reactionary video ever!!! God Bless yall!!! Sharing! 😁
This is the largest thumbs up I have ever given... welcome to a new and wonderful realm of music... enjoy...
The cello at the very end is actually playing the theme from Brahms' Lullaby
Such a sweet reaction and couple! Keep listening, growing, and never let anyone tell you are anything but special ❤️❤️❤️
This reaction video never gets old.
That is a lot of people's response to that gorgeous song!
So sweet seeing her reaction and knowing where it's coming from.
It's a whole new world ... enjoy !!!
What an awesome couple!! Love you guys ! Thanks for bringing us into your home !
Watching and hearing your reactions to this gives me hope that not all is lost in this world. You have truly moved me. Thank You!
MB65... thank you so much for saying that. KnR
You can tell Kel took the Queensryche journey through this masterpiece of a song.
This a deep meaningful song. Not many songs like this
This was perfect... I feel like I’ve witnessed every emotion in the purest form. Thank you for sharing, and stay safe and healthy 🙏🏻
That is the most honest and beautiful reaction to this song I have ever seen. I've been a queensryche fan since the 80s and this song has always been one of my favorites. Most fans put this song down, I still don't understand other than they put the band in a box and this song didn't fit in that box. An amazing song
I Cried The FIRST TIME I Heard Silent Lucidity To! And Ever Time After...It Just A Beautiful Song With The Perfect Singer!
This is what great music does, you feel it all through your body and it touches your soul
The only thing better than listening to amazing music is sharing it....... its like giving someone a gift
Saw the premier of this at a Ozzy concert in Long Beach, Ca weeks before it hit MTV
Wow! I got emotional watching your wife get emotional during the song and hearing her story after. Love this song and Queenryche
The song moved me But you two elicited a stronger emotion in me. Its nice to see a couple express their emotions and share them with us. Thank you!
MY lord, has to be the most beautiful, honest reactions I have ever seen.
Love Kel’s reaction. This is one of my favorite songs. I bought a drum kit just to play along with this song
I don't know what to say. What a great and honest reaction. Thank you guys!!
The. Best. Heartfelt. Reaction. Ever!
good man, her response was genuine and felt to one of the most beautiful songs man has created
Emotional authenticity, so rare in this world. Thank you for your courage in sharing. That song always brings a joyful tear to my eye. "Feeding your soul" is exactly right
Great reaction, she totally "Get's it"
Indeed, thirty years later and I still get emotional listening to this song!
One of my all-time favorites. Growing up in an abusive house, this song made me think of a better way to live once I got away.
Recently found you guys when I saw this song I KNEW what was coming. Thank you for sharing.
You have a very amazing story. Rich you’re very attentive to Kel...both of you are a great example of a loving relationship
Beautiful, AMAZING song from my teen years. So happy you guys reacted to this wonderful song
I've loved this song since it was released in high school, but Kel's genuine, heartfelt emotional reaction to this beautiful song has made me an absolute teary mess...and I'm so thankful to both of you for it:)
one of those songs that stood the test of time so easily..What a great song this still is. One of Chris DeGamo best written songs.👍
Chris' contributions to the QR music is sorely missed.
Beautiful song and even more beautiful watching you listen to this. Brought tears to my eyes.
I love this reaction!! One of my favorite from you. Nice new intro too 🤟
OMG Kel...your sharing a bit of who you are is......I don't even know what to say. So honest and real. Thank You.
This is my fave reaction vid from you guys.
I can ONLY imagine how Kel’s passion world pour out now in her music as she plays now, being musically Free.... Her new found freedom to pour into her piano 🎹
That was by far the best eargasm ever!
