RAISE YOUR BED FLOOR ON A SQUAREBODY 73-87

Raising the bedfloor of a 1983 Chevy / GMC square body isn't all that hard to do. We are cutting 7" out of our bedsides and front bed panel to raise the floor enough to clear a new four link setup and either airbag suspension or coil overs. I have not decided on that just yet. There's some cutting, welding and grinding with a little head scratching mixed in to this square body mod. Lets get to it.

What did you do for mounting the bed to frame? The bed is body dropped 7" now

That requires building new brackets that are 7" higher to compensate for the difference. Thanks for the question!
