Just thoughts and sensations in the body .Do the thoughts follow the sensations?, are they kind of a disassociation mechanism to pull out of the uncomfortable sensations? Some times I try go into sensations and cone out of thoughts but it's like I get bounced back and it seems like even with all the will in the world my attention won't rest in the sensation , it doesn't seem as simple as just deciding to go to the sensations at times.
They're not a dissassocation mechanism themselves. But it can appear a bit like that, as we appear to focus onto thinking, away from uncomfortable sensation when it arises. It may seem difficult at first, however, using "all the will in the world" will compound the difficulty. Instead of trying to force or use will, try 'relaxing back' as the being-space around the thoughts and sensations.

I thought he explained what the title says. In my understanding his technique is to become aware of the nature of our emotions, then be fully aware of them and feel them fully, and that is when a trapped feeling is released. It is also important to stay as conscious as possible during this process.
Sounds like you had an expectation or assumption of this being presented in a certain way, like possibly physical exercises or maybe visual illustrations and thus you weren't present with his explanation that did fulfill the point of the title of the video. If really want help with this I suggest listen with headphones and eyes closed and remain present with the words. ❤
